Congratulations on the purchase of your new kettle. Please read the following instructions carefully before using the kettle and keep them handy at any time.
Starting Place the base of your new kettle on a firm surface. Place the kettle on the base and latch it properly. Pull as much cable from the cable storage in the base as you need to plug in the kettle and fix the cable in the recess.
Before you use the kettle for the first time, clean it inside and outside with a wet cloth, fill it with frech water twice and boil the waten To fill water, take the kettle from the base. Twist the lid until the fixing lug is visible. Then remove the lid from the kettle and fill it with water (A). Laution! Fill the kettle at least with the minimum and not more than the maximum amount of water. Replace the lid on the kettle and twist to lock it. You can place the kettle on the base in any horizontal position (B). Important! The kettle will switch off automatically only if the lid has been closed properly. Therefore make sure that the lid is closed before you supply power. Switch on the kettle by pressing the statt button in the upper part of the handle. An integrated lamp lights when power is supplied.
For making coffee or tea oil water as described in Starting. The kettle switches off automatically when the water boils. Slowly remove the lid (C), add coffee or tea powder to the hot water (D) as needed and stir. Do not use a metal spoon. Put the lid with the pulled-up filter on the pot and twist the filter to latch. Let the coffee draw for 4 minutes and the tea as suits the brand and your taste. Then gently press the filter rod down (F). If the filter rod cannot be pressed down easily, pull it out 3 cm and try again. White doing this, keep afirm grip on the lid. Do not use force.The filter should be taken apart completely and cleaned alter every use. All filter parts are dishwasher-proof (G). Clean the kettle by rinsing itwith water. Do not immerse it in water. Use the lid without strainerfor boiling.

Automatic Switch Off When the water has boiled, the unit switches off automatically and the pilot lamp extinguishes. If you want to stop heating before the water boils, remove the kettle from the power base. This interrupts the heating. If you want to hegt water that is already hot, press the power supply button and wait for the water to boil. Then power is Gut off automatically. No Boiling Dry The kettle has a safety feature to prevent boiling dry when power is supplied and there is no water in the kettle or if all water has evaporated when the lid is not in place. Heating is cut off automatically. Allow to cool for 5 to 10 min before starting again. Except at instant step.
- Before using the kettle for the first time, make sure that the voltage and current specifications an the nameplate are identical with those of the mains from which you draw power.
- Never leave the kettle unattended. Do not place or use it an a hot surface or near a naked flame.
- Always use and store the kettle outside the reach of children.
- Do not use the kettle with a defective Gable. Do not use the kettle when you haue dropped it or it has any visible damage. Repairs to electric devices, which includes replacement of the cable, raust be carried out by a trained electrician.
- When the kettle is in use, high temperature can cause burns if the kettle is not handled with proper Gare. Always hold the kettle by its handle.
- Make sure that the Gable does not hang down loose when the kettle is in use. There is risk of the kettle being knocked over. Caution! Risk of scalding!
- Pull the mains power plug - every time before you clean the kettle, - alter every use of the kettle.
- Do not pull the plug by pulling the cable.
- Never dip the kettle or the power base in water.
- Before switching an the kettle, make sure thatthe cable and plug are dry.
- Do not remove the kettle and base to another place while in use. Make sure both stand firmly.
- To fill and pourwater, remove the kettle from the base.
- Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
- Caution! Overfilling can cause spillage of boiling water. Fill the kettle only to the maximum mark.
- Use the kettle only for heating water. Do not hegt milk, broth or any other foaming liquid. Improper use and wrong operating are not covered by warranty.
- Do not use the kettle without the lid as this disables the automatic Gut off function.
- Do not use the unit outdoors.
- For safety reason, switch off the kettle at the power switch after preparing instant drinks.

- Pull the mains cable every time before you clean the unit.
- The kettle does not require a lot of maintenance. Occasionally rinse the kettle inside with clean water and decalcify it regularly. Wipe the outside with a wet cloth and dry well. Do no use aggressive or abrasive cleaner.
- Never wet-clean the mains Gable or the plug. Every time before switching an the unit, make sure that the plug and cable are dry and are without damage.
- Do not use without waten The hotplate may turn brown.
Delacification If you use hard water, the unit needs decalcification regularly. You can use any commercially available decalcifier. Make sure to observe the following:
- At first fill the kettle with water, then add the decalcifier.
- Rinse the kettle with clean water after decalcifying.
