The remote control system
Here you get an overview of the remote control system of your X-Tide micro and its various features and settings. Before the first flight, you should absolutely have read and understood all these functions and settings.
-
Do make sure that the transmitter is turned off - ON / OFF switch in the lower position.
-
Now open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the transmitter (1) and insert six AA batteries (or rechargeable batteries) into the battery compartment of the transmitter (2). Pay attention to the correct polarity!
-
Close the battery compartment cover, then turn on transmitter - push ON / OFF switch upwards.
-
Both LED's must lit. WARNING: if the red POWER LED flashes or does not light at all, the model cannot be started - crash hazard! Change transmitter batteries immediately.
WARNING: check the POWER LED also during operation. If the POWER LED starts to flash, supported by a beep, stop operation, switch the model off and replace the transmitter batteries - crash hazard!
- IMPORTANT NOTE: The safety circuit of the X-Tide micro prevents starting the motor, as long as the boat is not in the water. Therefore, do not be surprised that the boat does not respond to the remote control „in the dry“! Once it is in the water, the remote control system is activated and the boat can be controlled as desired.
NOTE: The maximum range of the remote control system is about 100 meters, do not drive farther under any circumstances! If the X-Tide micro gets out of range, the fail-safe function is activated and turns

off the motor. If possible, try to meet it half-way on the shore, until you can control it again.

Insert the charger into an AC outlet AC 110-240 V 50/60Hz. Both LEDs (red and green) are on.
-
Connect the battery using the 3-pin balancer plug to the charger (see picture).

WARNING: the charging cable is polarized, attention to the two guide rails in the connector. The plug must snap into place relatively easy- not use force - fire or explosion hazard!
-
During charging, the green LED on the charger goes out. A fully discharged battery takes about 3.5 hours until it is fully charged - green LED on.
-
Unplug the battery from the charger.
-
Unplug the charger from the socket when you no longer need it.
The run time of the X-Tide micro is about 7-10 minutes.

BINDING:
The 2.4 GHz receiver of X-TIDE MICRO must be once „connected“ with a suitable transmitter, the so-called „binding“ procedure. This ensures that the receiver establishes a connection only with this transmitter and the model can be operated without interference. This process can be repeated any time.
The transmitter and receiver of the X-TIDE MICRO are already bound so that you can start flying immediately. Should a rebind gets necessary (eq. after a transmitter change), proceed as follows:
- Make sure that no other 2.4 GHz network (eq. WLAN or other transmitter) sends nearby.
The distance between transmitter - e.g. X-TIDE MICRO should be maximum one meter.
Note: the X-Tide micro must be in the water so that the remote control system is activated! - Switch on the transmitter. The green FREQUENCY LED flashes for about 5 seconds. During these 5 seconds, turn on the boat. When the LED lits permanently green, the transmitter is now bound to the X-Tide micro.
- If you still cannot control the boat, repeat the process.
Getting started
Before you begin please check:

- Insert the included soft rubber protection on the boot tip. Pay attention to the short pin, it must engage in the provided hole on the underside of the hull. This is especially useful if you operate with several boats at once, or eq, in a swimming pool in order not to damage it.
NOTE: The X-Tide micro needs due to their small size a calm water surface. Do not drive in heavy seas!
WARNING: Only start with a sufficiently full transmitter batteries (rechargeable batteries) and fully charged drive battery - crash hazard! - Check all parts for damage and dirt. Replace any damaged parts and clean the model, because dirt increases the weight and therefore can degrade the flying qualities.
- Switch on the transmitter. The red POWER LED lits and the green FREQUENCY LED flashes. Wait a moment until the green FREQUENCY LED lits permanently, then connect the drive battery with the boat.

Release upper hull by turning the rear lock and lift the back end.

Place the Lilo battery in the battery holder.
WARNING: Operate your boat only with a fully charged battery - loss of control!
EN

Connect the battery. The connecting system is polarized, do not use force.

Place the upper hull with the nose on the front of the hull (1), then push back (2) and secure with the lock (3).
- iIMPORTANT NOTE: The safety circuit of the X-Tide micro prevents starting the motor, as long as the boat is not in the water. Therefore, do not be surprised that the boat does not respond to the remote control „in the dry“! Once it is in the water, the remote control system is activated and the boat can be controlled as desired.
- Check the motor and servo functions.
- If the drive battery runs low, the motor speed is reduced and the X-Tide micro starts slowing down. Navigate to the shore of the water immediately. Charge the drive battery again.
RC functions
Forward - reverse
Move the throttle lever towards you, the X-Tide micro will move forward. Move the throttle stick back to reverse.

Left - Right
Rotate the steering wheel to the left, the boat turns to the left. Move the steering wheel to the right to turn to the right.

Trim
Steering
If the X-Tide micro will not run exactly straight - but pull in one direction - although the steering wheel remains in the center position, this can be compensated with the trim wheel TURN FINE TUNE above the ON / OFF switch under the transmitter cover. Pulls the boat to the left, turn the trim wheel to the right until the boat runs straight ahead. Pulls the boat to the right, turn the trim wheel to the left until the boat is straight ahead.

Motor
With the throttle lever in neutral position, the motor may not rotate. If yes, correct it with the THROTTLE TRIM wheel. Turn the trim wheel until the motor stops.
For larger waves it may happen that the boat capsizes and turns upside down. This is no reason to become hectic, the boat is water-proof and cannot sink. To recover, you can either wait until the boat drifts back because of the swell of its own. Or you hold the throttle, the propeller acts as an airplane propeller and moves the boat forward slowly. You may also control the direction with the rudder.

EN
WARNING: disconnect and remove the drive battery from the boat after each ride - fire and explosion hazard!
WARNING: the motor of the X-TIDE MICRO may get very hot during operation. Allow to cool down minimum 20 minutes before the next start to avoid damage. Fire hazard!
Maintenance
To have fun with your model over a long period, occasional service work is required to get your model in good condition and to minimize wear.
- The X-Tide micro is waterproof, yet it may happen that a few drops of water gets lost into the boat. Therefore check after every ride if water is inside in the hull and dry it with a cloth if necessary.
- Remove dirt or dust depending with compressed air or a soft brush after each use. For stubborn dirt, a harder brush or a toothbrush can be used.
- To clean the body/fuselage no chemical cleaners such as thinners may used, as this damage the plastic of the body/fuselage. Normally a piece of soft cloth is ok, stubborn dirt can be removed with washing-up liquid.
- Check the tightness of all screws and tighten if necessary.
- Also check all connections, cables and power battery / rechargeable battery for damage.
WARNING: Damaged batteries or rechargeable batteries must not be used again and must be disposed of immediately - fire hazard! Please note the disposal notes at the end of this manual. - Check the model for worn, broken or jammed parts and gears and repair if necessary.
WARNING: remove the batteries / rechargeable batteries of the transmitter and model when not in use - fire hazard!
