If requested, theusermustprovidetheirtelephonecompanywiththefollowinginformation:
- The telephone numberbertowhichthe TabletPC is connected.
- The RingerEquivalenceNumber(REN) forthisequipment.
- The equipment requires standard modular jacktype USOCRJ-11C which is FCCPart68 compliant.
4.TheFCCRegistrationNumber.
This equipment is designed to be connected to the telephone network or premises wiring using a standard modular jack type USOC RJ-11C which is FCC Part 68 compliant and a line cord betweenthemedemandthetelephonenumberetworkwithaminimumof26AWG.
TheRENisusedtodeterminethenumberofdevicessthatyoumayconnecttoyourtelephone lineandstillhaveallofthosedevicesringwhenyournumberiscalled.Toomanydevices ononelinemayresultinfailuretoringinresponsetoanincom ingcall.Inmost,butnotall, areas the sum of the RENs of all of the devices should not exceed five (5). To be certain ofthenumberofdevicesyoumayconnecttoyourline,asdeterminedbytheRENs,contact yourlocaltelephonecompany.Ifthisequipmentcausessharmtothetelephonenumber,your telephone company may discontinue your service temporarily. If possible, they will notify you in advance. If advance notice is not practical they will notify you as soon as possible. You will also be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC.
