USER MANUAL CB 145 BOMANN
- Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into ope- ration and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possi- ble, the box with the internal packing.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged pur- pose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediate- ly. Do not put it in water.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Never leave the appliance unsupervised. To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances, make sure that the cable is hanging low and that children do not have access to the appliance.
- Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
- Use only original spare parts.

- Fill the water tank only with cold water!
- Never shake out the filter during brewing and do not open the water tank lid. Danger of burning.

- Remove all the packaging and transport protections from the device. Wipe all the parts with a moist cloth to remove all the dust that may have deposited on and in the device during transport. Then mount the device again by proceeding in the opposite order.
- Carry out 2 or 3 cycles with cold water only to clean the device before brewing the first cup of coffee.
- Insert the plug in a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact socket. The details can be found on the appliance’s nameplate.
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off. (The light in the on/off switch is off.) Operating
1. Open the water tank lid.
2. Now fill with enough fresh cold water for the desired number of cups. You can
read the level on the water level display. Do not overfill the appliance (max. 8 cups).
3. Close the water tank lid.
4. Swing the filter the left. Insert a paper filter (size 1x2) in the filter funnel and fill
with ground coffee (approx. 1 teaspoon for two cups). Lock in the filter until it snaps into place.

7. The brewing lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.
8. Your appliance is provided with a drip stop. By removing the pot, before the
water runs through the filter completely, it avoids that the coffee drips on the base. If there is still water in the tank or filter, make sure that the pot is placed back under the filter to avoid overflowing.
9. When the coffee stops flowing into the filter, you can remove the pot.
10. Switch off the appliance (the LED in the switch is off).
11. To pour the coffee out of the pot, turn the lid by half a turn counter-clockwise. To
keep the coffee warm, put the lid back on. De-scaling De-scaling is necessary when the brewing time increases substantially. Use only commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler. Follow the recommended instructions for use. Cleaning
