This product is a Non-Contact IR Thermometer.
- The FS-700 takes contactless temperature measurements, ensuring that the body temperature can be measured safely.
- The contactless design prevents the possibility of infection transmissi- on associated with normal thermometers.
- The FS-700 can measure the body temperature safely and without contact.
- The FS-700 measures the temperature in less than 2 seconds.
- Please read the manual carefully. Basic operation principles
- When your body is hot, you touch your forehead because body’s tem- perature is best reflected there.
- The thermometer measures infrared energy radiating from the forehe- ad. Once the thermometer has analysed the amount of infrared energy via a sensor, it converts it into a temperature value.
- The FS-700 is a contactless thermometer which allows the user to measure the body temperature about 2 to 3 cm away from the forehe- ad, thereby decreasing the possibility of infection or discomfort resul- ting from contact.General Information
- LCD light for ease of use and digital LCD display.
- Multi-measurement function which measures both body and object temperatures.
- Storage of up to 32 results.
- Contactless measurement for increased safety.
- Power-saving: Automatic shut-off after one minute.
- Powered by two AAA Type Alkaline batteries. User precautions

- Examine the product periodically for any damage/faults.
- Read the manual carefully before using this product for the first time.
- In the case of any product damage or malfunction, do not use it and request its repair through the authorized dealer.
- If the thermometer is not used for a long time, please take out the bat- teries and store it in a safe place. The used batteries must be collected separately. About body temperature
- What is body temperature? The body temperature is the human body’s internal heat level. The ‘normal’ body temperature is that of a healthy person and can vary slightly within certain limits. The body temperature changes according to the environment, time, and activities that a person might be doing. For example, a person's body temperature can often be 0.5 °C higher at night time than early in the morning.General Information
- Body temperature control The central nerve in the brain's hypothalamus controls the body tempe- rature, maintaining it at a certain level. When the body temperature goes up, it expands the blood vessels inside the skin and releases sweat from the sweat glands, resulting in significant heat loss – a hypothalamic reaction to suppress any further heat increase. However, when the body temperature goes down, it contracts the blood vessels and prevents sweat secretion from reacting to the stadium incremen’ti by reducing heat. The human body can maintain a relatively regular body temperature because heat production and loss always equates.
- Body Temperature Measurement Ranges Normal ranges by area: Axilliary: 34.7 ~ 37.3 °C Oral: 35.5 ~ 37.5 °C Rectal: 36.6 ~ 38.0 °C FS-700 (Forehead) : 36.0 ~ 37.9 °C
- Why do fevers occur? Normally, when bacteria, viruses or other pathogens attack the body, fever occurs. Other reasons for fever can be tissue damage or blood diseases. When burns and heart attacks occur, the blood vessels also contract and prevent sweat secretion from reacting to the stadium incremen’ti by reducing heat. The human body temperature can main- tain a relatively regular body temperature because heat production and loss always equates.General Information
- lnfant body temperature Infants cannot sufficiently control their body temperature, the surroun- ding environment will affect their body temperature. If the indoor tem- perature is high, the body temperature increases, and vice-versa. It is therefore important to check an infant’s normal body temperature on a regular basis.
- Normal temperatures can be checked by calculating the average value for several days at regular hours in the morning and eve- ning. An infant’s body temperature can vary by about 0.5 °C according to the surrounding temperature. For example, when a temperature reading for 8 A.M. is 36.7 °C and 8 P.M. is 37.3 °C the normal temperature range is 36.7 °C to 37.3 °C and the nor- mal temperature is 37 °C. Fever occurs when the body temperatu- re rises 1 °C compared to the normal temperature.
- It is recommended that the indoor ambient temperature be set to 24 °C to 26°C, with humidity of around 40% to 60%. In winter, thermometers and hygrometers should be placed at the height of an infant’s living area.
- Infants should not be covered with swaddles and laid on heated floors during summer. If miliaria occurs, or if the body temperature increases too much it can lead to dehydration fever. In the worst cases, this can lead to coma or cramps.
- Bathing environments for infants must be maintained at 24 °C to 27 °C. Five minutes of bathing with water at 38 °C to 40 °C is recommended. Infants must be dried well, and any water loss can be compensated through barley tea or fruit juice. During winter, the recommended bathing time for infants is between 11 A.M. and 2 P.M. Drying in cold air can lead to colds or cause cracks in the cheeks or hands. GBGeneral Information
- Breast-fed infants should drinking breast milk at its regular tempe- rature, i.e. body temperature. The recommended temperature to serve powdered milks at is 38 °C.
- Measuring Body Temperature Switch the FS-700 to body temperature measuring mode, and take the body temperature from the temple area with a 2 to 3 cm distance.
