SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - General information

Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for reference.
- Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions.
- Without supervision this appliance may not be used by children or persons who have a physical or mental restriction and therefore are not able to use the appliance safely.
- Have any repairs carried out solely by a qualified electrician. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - Electricity and heat

Before use, verify that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the type plate on the appliance.
- Plug the appliance only into an earthed wall socket.
Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use.
Always remove the plug from the wall socket by pulling on the plug, not the power cord.
- Check the appliance's power cord regularly to make sure it is not damaged. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. Have a damaged power cord replaced by a qualified service department.
- When using an extension lead always make sure that the entire cable is unwound from the reel.
- Use solely approved extension leads.
Certain parts of the appliance can get hot. Do not touch them, as you may burn yourself.
- The appliance needs space to allow heat to escape, thereby preventing the risk of fire. Make sure that the appliance has sufficient space around it, and does not come in contact with flammable material. The appliance must not be covered.
- Never use the appliance in the vicinity of flammable materials.
- Make sure that the appliance, the power cord and the plug do not come in contact with sources of heat, such as a hot hob or naked flame.
- Make sure that the appliance, the power cord and plug do not come in contact with water.
- This appliance may not be used through an external timer or by means of a remote control.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - During use

  • Never use the appliance outdoors.
  • Never use the appliance in a humid room.
  • Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface where it cannot fall over.
  • Make sure that your hands are dry before touching the appliance, power cord or plug.
  • Switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket in the event of a malfunction during use, and before cleaning the appliance, fitting or removing an accessory, or storing the appliance after use.
  • Never leave the appliance unsupervised whilst it is in use.
  • Never move the appliance whilst it is switched on or is still hot. Switch off the appliance, and wait until it has cooled down before you move it.
    Make sure there is sufficient free space behind the appliance (at least 10cm ), on both sides of the appliance (at least 5 cm), and above the appliance (at least 20cm).
    Always use kitchen utensils which are suitable for microwave ovens.
  • Look into the microwave oven at regular intervals during the preparation of food enclosed in disposable packaging, plastic, paper, or other inflammable material. If you see smoke then switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the wall socket, and keep the door closed until any flames, where relevant, have extinguished.
  • Do not put metal objects or materials in the microwave oven, such as packaging materials or baking containers that contain metal, plates and dishes with decorative metal rims, or metal skewers or forks, etc.
  • Do not heat the following products in the microwave oven:

  • food and liquids in closed, airtight or vacuum packaging, bottles or jars;

  • airtight food, such as eggs, nuts in their shell, and tomatoes.
    Take particular care when heating liquids:
  • Always allow liquids to stand for a while after the microwave has switched off so that the heat can distribute through the liquid.
  • Always stir liquids after they have been heated.
  • Sudden boiling and/or splashing of liquids heated in a microwave oven can be avoided by putting a glass spoon or rod in the liquid before you heat it and then stirring the liquid carefully after it has been heated.
  • To avoid liquids boiling over never fill (measuring) cups, bottles or bowls to the rim.
    Take particular care when heating baby food and milk:
  • Always allow baby food and milk to stand for a while after the microwave has switched off, so that the heat can distribute through the liquid.
  • Always stir baby food and milk after they have been heated.
    Always check the temperature of baby food and milk before giving them to the baby.

  • Do not heat baby bottles with the teat or cap in place; otherwise the bottle could explode.

  • Never preheat the microwave oven, and never switch on the microwave oven whilst it is empty.

  • Use the microwave oven solely to heat/thaw food. Do not use the microwave oven to dry clothing or paper, sterilize products, or to store materials.
  • Clean the appliance thoroughly after use (see "Cleaning and maintenance").
  • Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or any other liquid.

OPERATION - General information

The microwave oven is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

OPERATION - Before using for the first time

  1. Remove the packaging.
  2. Clean all the accessories to remove any residues that may be left from the manufacturing process (see "Cleaning and maintenance").
  3. Place the roller ring and the glass turntable in the appliance.

OPERATION - Cooking

  1. Put food onto a plate or dish suitable for use in microwave ovens. Pour liquids into a (glass) measuring cup or bowl.
    To avoid liquids boiling over never fill measuring cups or bowls to the rim.
  2. Cover the food or liquid with a suitable lid with air vents, or with microwave film. Always punch holes in microwave film.
  3. Open the microwave oven door.
  4. Put the food on a plate or dish or the liquid in a measuring cup or bowl on the glass turntable.

  5. Close the microwave oven door.

  6. Set the power switch to the power level shown in the following table.
  7. Set the time switch to the heating time shown in the following table. When setting a heating time of less than 2 minutes turn the time switch beyond the 3-minute mark and then turn it back to the required heating time. The appliance will switch on. A bleep will sound at the end of the set cooking time, and the appliance will switch off. The appliance can be switched off before the end of the set heating time by turning the time switch to '0'.

The appliance will automatically switch off if the microwave oven door is opened before the end of the set cooking time. On closing the microwaveoven door again the appliance will switch on and continue the cooking process.

  1. Open the microwave oven door.
  2. Wear oven gloves.
  3. Take the food on a plate or dish or liquid in a measuring cup or bowl out of the microwave oven and put the container on a heat-resistant surface.
  4. Close the microwave oven door.
  5. Remove the lid or the microwave film. Take care! The food or liquid will be hot.

OPERATION - Defrosting

  1. Put the frozen food onto a plate or dish suitable for use in microwave ovens.
  2. Cover the frozen food with a suitable lid with air vents, or with microwave film. Always punch holes in microwave film.
  3. Open the microwave oven door.
  4. Put the frozen food on the plate or dish on the glass turntable.
  5. Close the microwave oven door.
  6. Set the power switch to 'Defrost'.
  7. Set the time switch. Normally defrosting takes more time than heating. The appliance will switch on. Every now and then check if the food has defrosted. A signal will sound at the end of the set defrosting time, and the appliance will switch off. The appliance can be switched off before the end of the set defrosting time by turning the time switch to '0'.

The microwave has a food permeability from 4cm on each side. Turn extra thick food around regulary.

The appliance will automatically switch off if the microwave oven door is opened before the end of the set thawing time. On closing the microwave oven door again the appliance will switch on and continue the defrosting process.

  1. Open the microwave oven door.
  2. Take the defrosted food on the plate or dish from the microwave oven.
  3. Close the microwave oven door.
  4. Remove the lid or the microwave film.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the appliance after each use.

  1. Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely.
  2. Clean the roller ring and the glass turntable in hot water and washing-up liquid. Rinse the parts with ample water and dry them thoroughly. You can also clean the roller ring and glass turntable in a dishwasher.
  3. Clean the interior and exterior of the microwave oven with a damp cloth. Then dry the interior and exterior thoroughly.
  4. Undesirable odours in the microwave oven can be removed as follows:

a. Pour clean water into a deep bowl suitable for use in a microwave oven, and add the juice and peel from a lemon.
b. Open the microwave door and put the bowl containing the water, juice and lemon peel on the glass turntable. Close the microwave oven door.
c. Set the microwave oven to full power for five minutes.
d. At the end of the five minutes open the microwave oven door and remove the bowl with water, juice and lemon peel. Take care! The bowl and the water will be hot. Wear oven gloves.
e. Remove the glass turntable and roller ring from the microwave oven.
f. Wipe the interior of the microwave oven clean, and dry thoroughly.

  1. Put the roller ring and the glass turntable back into the appliance.

  • Make sure the plug has been removed from the plug socket before cleaning the appliance.
    Keep water and other liquids away from the ventilation openings.
  • Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
  • Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or any other fluid.

  • Dispos of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the appropriate waste containers. When this product reaches the end of its useful life do not dispose of it by putting it in a dustbin; hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electrical and electronic equipment. Please refer to symbols on the product, the user's instructions or the packaging.

  • The materials can be re-used as indicated. Your help in the re-use, recycling or other means of making use of old electrical equipment will make an important contribution to the protection of the environment.

  • Contact your municipality for the address of the appropriate collection point in your neighbourhood.

GUARANTEE TERMS

The importer guarantees the appliance against defects caused by manufacturing and/or material faults for 60 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions.

  1. No charges will be made for labour costs or materials during the warranty period. Any repairs carried out during the warranty period do not extend the warranty period.
  2. The importer automatically becomes the owner of any faulty parts that he replaces or a faulty appliance (in the event of replacement of the appliance).
  3. All claims submitted under warranty must be accompanied by the original bill of sale.
  4. Claims under warranty must be submitted to the dealer where the appliance was purchased or to the importer.

  5. The warranty is issued solely to the first purchaser and cannot be transferred.

  6. The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

a. Accidents, incorrect use, wear and/or neglect.
b. Faulty installation and/or use in a manner contravening the prevailing legal, technical or safety regulations.
c. Connection to a mains voltage other than the voltage specified on the type plate.
d. Unauthorized modifications.
e. Repairs carried out by third parties.

f. Careless transport, i.e. without suitable packaging materials or protection.
7. No claims may be made under this warranty for:
a. Losses incurred during transport.
b. The removal or changing of the appliance's serial number.
8. The guarantee does not cover power cords, lamps or glass parts.
9. No claims can be submitted under this warranty for damage other than the repair or replacement of faulty parts. The importer can never be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage or any other consequences, resulting either directly or indirectly from the appliance supplied by the importer.
10. In case of claims under guarantee you can contact your dealer where the appliance is purchased. Bestron offers you also the possibility to send the appliance directly to our Service Department. Do not send your appliance without consulting us. The package may be refused and any any costs will be for your account. Please contact the Service Department and they will tell you how to pack and send the appliance.
11. This appliance is not suitable for professional use.
