4. I/O switch and air flow selector

Any other use is considered unsuitable or dangerous.

• The manufacturer shall not be responsible for any damages that may arise from improper or inadequate use, or for repairs conducted by non- qualified personnel.

• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.

• Keep the appliance separate from water or other liquids, to avoid electric shock; do not connect the appliance to the mains if it is on a damp surface.

• Place the appliance on a dry, firm and stable surface.

• Do not allow children or the disabled to handle the appliance unsupervised.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is turned on because it can be dangerous.

• When removing the plug never pull on the cable.

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance.

• In the event of fault or malfunction where the appliance is not to be used, turn off the appliance and do not attempt to repair. If a repair is required, contact a Technical Assistance Service authorised by the manufacturer and request the use of original spare parts.

• If the cable for this appliance is damaged, contact an authorised Technical Assistance Service for it to be replaced.

• Do not leave the appliance exposed to the elements (rain, sun, ice, etc.).

• Do not use or let any part of the appliance come into contact or near hot surfaces (kitchen gas or electric hobs or ovens).

• Do not use detergents or abrasive sponges to clean the appliance.

• Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handles.

• Do not let the cable come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

• Make sure that the switch is on “0” before plugging in or unplugging the hair dryer.

• Checkthatthevoltageofthedomestic power supply is the same as that indicated on the appliance.

• Before using this appliance for the first time, read the following instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

• Make sure that the mains voltage in your home corresponds to that indicated on the appliance.

• In the event of incompatibility between the mains socket and the appliance plug, replace the socket with a suitable one, using a qualified professional.

• The use of adaptors, multiple sockets and or extension cables is not recommended. Where it is not possible to avoid their use, only adaptors or extensions that comply with applicable safety regulations should be used, and ensuring that the indicated voltage limit is not exceeded.

• After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is in perfect condition, if in doubt, contact the nearest Technical Support Service.

• Packaging elements (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.), should not be left within the reach of children because they can be dangerous.

• The appliance is for domestic use only.

• Do not use spray products whilst the appliance is operating.

• Do not use the appliance for anything other than drying and modelling human hair.

• Do not cover the air inlet or outlet when the appliance is operating.

• Intheeventofafaultand/ora malfunction of the appliance, switch it off and do not try to repair it. If the appliance needs repairing, only contact a Technical Support Service authorised by the manufacturer.

• In order to prevent damage to hair, do not bring the hair dryer too close to your hair.

• Switch off the appliance when you are not using it, even if only for a moment.

• Whenunplugging,donotpullonthe cable.

• Supervisechildrentomakesurethat they are not playing with it. They should not use the dryer if there is no adult present.

• Forgreaterprotectionitis recommended to install a residual current device (RCD) with a residual operating current which does not exceed 30mA. Ask your installer for advice.

• Thisapplianceisnotdesignedfor use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, or those with lack of experience or knowledge; unless they are supervised or instructed on the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Afterusingtheappliance,leaveitto cool down before putting it away.

• Unplugtheappliancewhenyouarenot using it.

• After washing your hair, dry it with a towel.

• Do not use spray products or inflammable chemical haircare products.

• The hair dryer includes an accessory: the nozzle to aim the air flow or dry a specific point. This accessory fit on to the front part to the hair dryer easily.

• Makesurethatyourhandsare completely dry before plugging in the dryer.

• Plug the appliance in and select the switch position with the chosen temperature and air flow. I/O switch and air flow selector: With this control, you can switch the appliance on and off and also select the air flow which suits you best. 0 = off I = gentle air flow I = strong air flow Temperature selector: With the temperature selector you can select the working temperature. I = low temperature II = mid temperature III = high temperature Cold air button: The hair dryer is fitted with a cold air button (2) which cools the air quickly when pressed, regardless of the temperature selector position.

• Onceyouhavedriedyourhair,unplug the appliance. ION TECHNOLOGY The SP-2005I emits negative ions whenever it is in use. It is not therefore necessary to activate this function. The negative ions neutralise the static electricity in your hair. They make it smooth, shiny and manageable and prevent it from drying out. They also turn the drops of water into micromolecules. This enables your hair to absorb humidity easily, leaving it smooth and shiny. (The SP-1815 dryer does not have this function).9

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.

• Clean the air inlet grille regularly with a brush to remove the dust and hair trapped in the grille. Release the grille by pressing the grille opening button and pushing it backwards (fig. 2) Remove dirt stuck to the orifices.

• Clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly dampened cloth and dry it with a dry cloth.

• Do not submerge the appliance in water.

6. INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT
