Product features

The juice extractor is an appliance used to quickly extract juice from fruits and vegetables, separating the pulp at the same time. The extracting speed has been set to obtain optimal quality parameters of the extracted juices. The juice contains small fractions of fruits (vegetables) which are beneficial for the health, but which can slightly reduce the juice clarity. It is an intended effect, the manufacturer of the juice extractor came to the conclusion that it is more important to retain the nutritional, health and dietetic value of the extracted juice rather than its clarity. The amount of the juice received from 1kg of the product depends on the products' freshness as well as on the cleanliness of the sieve and the state of the grinding disc (e.g. for fresh carrot) and equals 50-60%. The parts that have contact with the processed products have been made of food grade materials.

Maintenance

● After you have finished clean the juice extractor thoroughly to avoid the residue drying out.
- The motor base housing should be cleaned with a wet cloth and a small addition of a washing-up liquid.
- The other components (juice bowl, cover and food pusher) should be cleaned after finishing the work in a lukewarm water with an addition of a washing-up liquid. Rinse them and dry. These component may be also cleaned in a dishwasher at max. 60°C (except the strainer).
- Use a dish brush to remove dirt from crevices or corners.
• Over time plastic parts may become discoloured. This is not a product defect.
• After washing, dry all elements thoroughly.
• Assemble the unit as described in section.

What to do when:

The juice extractor does not work:

- Return the juice extractor to a service facility.

The juice is extracted in a poor manner, the juice extractor is subject to vibrations:

  • Switch the appliance off, clean the strainer from any residue, empty the waste receptacle,
  • Replace the strainer in case of mechanical damage.

How to extract juice from fruits and vegetables:

  • Remove stones from fruits as they may damage the juice extractor.
  • Carefully wash the fruits and vegetables to be processed.
  • Wash berries directly before processing, as they quickly lose freshness.
  • Extracting juice from plums, blueberries, raspberries and soft pears is troublesome. The pulp of these fruits

blocks the openings of the sieve. You can process these fruits by mixing them in small quantities with other fruits and vegetables. In such a case the sieve has to be cleaned more often.

  • While extracting juice from grapes, insert whole fruits into the feeding tube, without the stem.
  • Cut bigger fruits and vegetables into pieces before processing.
  • Insert the fruits and vegetables into the feeding tube after switching on the appliance.
  • The nutritional value of the raw juices is similar to the nutritional value of the fruits and vegetables, except that the juice does not contain fiber which is removed during juice processing.

Juice obtained from some fruits and vegetables has a tendency to concentrate.

This is due to the characteristics of the used products and it is not influenced by the juice extractor. The obtained juice might not be clear, but this kind of juice has the most nutritional value.
