HAIR DRYER INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Dear customer, IMETEC thanks you for having purchased this product. We are certain you will appreciate the quality and reliability of this appliance, designed and manufactured with customer satisfaction in mind. This instruction manual has been drawn up in compliance with the European Standard EN 62079.

IMPORTANT! Instructions and warnings for safe use
Before using this appliance, carefully read the instructions and in particular the safety warnings, which must be complied with. Keep this manual and illustrative guide with the appliance for future consultation. Should you pass the appliance on to another user, make sure to also include this documentation.

SAFETY WARNINGS
- After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and any presence of damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.
- Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children - risk of suffocation!
- Before connecting the appliance, please make sure that the voltage data indicated on the identification technical data (1) correspond to those of the mains voltage. The identification technical data (1) are found on the appliance (and on the battery charger, if present).
- This appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed, namely, as a hair dryer for home use. Any other use is considered not compliant and therefore dangerous.
- If the appliance is used in the bathroom, remove the plug from the socket after use, as bringing it close to water is dangerous even if the appliance is switched off.
- For enhanced safety, it is recommended to install a differential circuit breaker with a nominal operating differential current that does not exceed 30 mA (10 mA is ideal) in the electric circuit of the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

ATTENTION! Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, wash basins or other vessels containing water! Never place the appliance in water!
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.


DO NOT use the appliance with wet hands, damp feet or barefoot.

DO NOT pull the power cable or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket.

DO NOT expose the appliance to humidity or weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.).
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.
- If the appliance is faulty or malfunctions, switch it off and do not tamper with it. Any repairs must only be carried out by an authorised technical service centre.
- If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.

USE OF ACCESSORIES
The hair dryer is provided with the accessories described above.
The accessory is mounted on the appliance by pressing it onto the front part of the hair dryer (4) until it is inserted. When finished using it, the accessory can be removed by pulling it firmly.
Styling nozzle (6A)
Use the styling nozzle to direct the air jet as you wish.
Diffuser (6B) (where present)
If the appliance comes with a diffuser, replace the styling nozzle to add volume to your hair.
Recommendations:
The diffuser is only to be used on damp hair in order to obtain a natural hair style or a natural drying effect:
- Take a lock of hair and twist it in the diffuser. Make sure that even the ends are entered.
- Then switch the hair dryer on at medium speed and maximum temperature to dry your hair.
For greater volume:
- Switch the hair dryer on at minimum speed and temperature.
- Place the diffuser directly on your hair and move it from the bottom upwards, as though you wanted to lightly massage your scalp.
IMPORTANT: use only the original accessories of the appliance.
USE
Refer to the figure in the illustrative guide of the instructions for use.
Appliance with separate keys for air flow (3A) and temperature (3B)
The two keys set air flow and temperature separately at the following levels:
Air flow button (3A) Temperature button (3B)
0 = OFF 1 = low temperature
1 = medium air flow 2 = medium temperature
2 = strong air flow 3 = high temperature

Cold air shot button (3C)
If the appliance is equipped with this button, it can be used to set the styling.
- If this button is pressed while the appliance is on, the hot air cools down and the set style lasts longer.
- Once the button is released, the appliance returns to a hot air flow at the selected level.
Ioniser (7) (if present)
The appliance has an ionizer featuring ION technology. This function is automatically activated when the appliance is switched on. The LED (7) indicates proper operation.

STORAGE
When the hair dryer is not used, unplug the appliance from the socket and store it in a dry and dust-free place.
Do not wind the power cord around the appliance. Coil it up loosely without bending it.
MAINTENANCE


IMPORTANT! Switch the appliance off and unplug it from the socket before cleaning! Make sure all cleaned parts are completely dry before reusing the appliance!

CLEANING
Cleaning the appliance and accessories
Clean the appliance and the accessories (diffuser, nozzle) with a damp cloth when needed. Do not use solvents or other aggressive or abrasive detergents. Otherwise, the surface could be damaged.
Check the intake opening of the appliance regularly and remove all hair and dust.
Cleaning the intake filter (5A)
If the appliance is provided with an intake filter, clean it as follows:
- Open the filter cap (5B) as shown in the figure.
- Wipe the front and rear of the retina (5A) and the filter cap (5B) with a damp cloth.
- Let the parts dry well and put them back on in inverse order.

Note: the more dust is present in the place where the hair dryer is used, the more often the filter must be cleaned.
DISPOSAL

The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of it in compliance with the environmental protection standards.

The appliance must be disposed of in compliance with the provisions of EU standard 2002/96/EC at the end of its life cycle. This regards recycling useful substances in the appliance, which reduces environmental impact. For further information contact the local waste authority or the appliance retailer.

The appliance is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. For details, read the attached warranty sheet.
Failure to comply with the instructions for use and maintenance provided in this manual will render the manufacturer's warranty null and void.
