• Only use the device at the specified voltage.

Many sections inside the device carry a high electrical charge which

containers on this device.
If any liquid spills from the container, a fire or electric shock could occur.
• If you notice any of the following abnormalities, turn off the device
immediately, unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet, and
contact your local dealer or Epson service call center.
• If you see smoke coming from the device, or notice abnormal odors or

• When moving the device, make sure you turn off the power, unplug
the power cable from the electrical outlet, and disconnect any
wiring before moving.

subject to smoke or steam.

such as alcohol, benzene, or thinner.

• Do not sit on this device, or place heavy objects on this device.

• When maintaining the device, make sure you unplug the power,
unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet, and disconnect
any wiring before performing maintenance.

• For safety reasons, when not using this device, make sure you
unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet.
If the insulation has degraded, a fire could occur.15
EN Notes on Usage and Storage
• Do not drop the device or subject it to shocks.
• Use and store the device under the following conditions.
Power (AC adapter): 100 to 240 V AC ±10% 50/60 Hz
Operating temperature: +5 to +35°C (41 to 95 °F); no condensation
Storage temperature: -10 to +60°C (14 to 140 °F); no condensation
• Do not install it in a location subject to vibrations or shocks.
• Do not use or store the device in locations subject to high or low
temperatures. Avoid sudden changes in temperature. Otherwise, the
device may not operate correctly.
• Make sure there is a gap of at least 20 mm (0.8 inch) between the
device and the walls on the left and right to prevent the air vents on
the side from being blocked, and a gap of at least 25 mm (1 inch)
• Do not install the device near high-voltage lines or magnetic
equipment. Otherwise, the device may not operate correctly.
• Because it can be easily influenced by internal noise, make sure the
LAN cable is completely unwound and stretched out when installing.
• Do not twist or bend the LAN cable.
• Do not tie the LAN cable together with other cables. In particular,
make sure that it is separated from the power cable.
• Do not loosen any screws except for the FG port screw.
• Make sure the earth wire is grounded before use.
• Connect all necessary cables before turning on the device.
• During communication, do not turn on/off this device or the
projector, and do not connect or disconnect any cables.
* If you notice any operational abnormalities or damage, stop using the
device immediately and contact your local dealer or the nearest Epson
repair center mentioned in the projector's "User's Guide".
* This is an optional device made exclusively for Epson projectors. See the
projector's "User's Guide" for more information on handling this device.16
This transmitter allows long-distance transmission of an HDMI and control
(RS-232C) signal using a LAN cable (category 5e or 6). This device is based
on the HDBaseT standard.
This device is useful when you want to control the projector from a remote
location, such as in a hall or event site, since you can use a LAN cable up to
100 m (328 feet) in length.
Connect the projector to the HDBaseT port on this device using a LAN cable.
Then connect this device to your HDMI compatible video equipment or a
computer to control the projector with.
Fix this with an M4 screw.
HDMI In port Inputs video and audio signals from HDMI
compatible video equipment and computers.
Allows the device to connect to a network using a
LAN cable. Connect when controlling the
projector from a computer over a network.
Allows the device to connect to a computer using
a RS-232C cable. Connect when controlling the
projector from a computer.
Power indicator Indicates the operating status of the device.
On green: Device is operating.
On orange: Device is standing by.
Power button Turns the device on/off.
This device supports Direct Power On. This
feature allows the projector to turn on
automatically when power is supplied to it.18
Supported LAN Cables
Use a category 5e or category 6 straight STP cable. When using a cable,
use a tester to check that the cable's properties are at least category 5e
before connecting. When using a relay connector, make sure the connecting
cables meet the specifications mentioned above.
Power inlet Connects the AC adapter's power plug.
Do not use a different power supply (AC adapter/
power cable). Only use the one supplied.
Note that when the power cable is plugged in, this
device turns on automatically (Direct Power On)
when power is restored after a power outage.
When set to [Enable], the device automatically
enters sleep mode and turns off after 30 minutes
if no signals are input. Press the power button to
turn the device back on.
When set to [Disable], the device does not turn
off automatically. When monitoring and
controlling using HDBaseT, set this to [Disable]
so that the device does not enter sleep mode.
If the device is connected to an access point over
a LAN connection, it will not turn off even when
sleep mode is enabled.
Wired-IR In port Connects the projector's optional remote control
cable set (ELPKC28) and inputs signals from the
Link indicator Turns green when communicating with the
HDBaseT port Allows the device to connect to a projector using

Check that the HDMI device is turned on and that an
image is being played back.
Was a cable connected during operation?
Connect all necessary cables before turning on this

Check that the Link indicator is green. Also, make sure
