Water is a fundamental element that influences both the quality of ironing and the proper functioning of the

appliance over time.

Specifically, high concentrations of salts can damage parts of the machine and cause the appliance to

deteriorate prematurely.

Find the AQUADUR tester in the instructions to measure the hardness of your water; proceed as follows:

1) Tear off the strip from the last page of these instructions; hold it with your fingers on the white part and

immerse it in water for a second.

• Make sure that all the little squares are immersed in water.

2) Shake off excess water and let it rest for 1 minute.

3) Now observe how many little squares have changed colour from green to pink.

- 0 pink square: good

- 1 pink squares: acceptable

- 2 pink squares: not recommended

- 3 pink squares: prohibited

The appliance is designed to function with tap water: Tap water can be used only if with acceptable hardness that

is normally obtained from mains water coming from natural sources.

If not, mix tap water (50%) with distilled and/or demineralised water (50%); in coastal areas, the salt concentration

in water is very high: In these cases, “demineralised water for irons” sold on the market must be used. When in

doubt, use only demineralised water for irons.

Do not use chemical diluents, scented substances or descalers. Using such substances

can damage the product.

Do not use water from dryers, air conditioning water or rainwater.

The boiler may still contain water since every product is tested before being sold.
