Insert the plug into a mains socket. - When the standby indicator (4) lights up, the set temperature has been reached.

When using for the first time, it is possible that production-related additives such as grease could cause slight odour or smoke. This is completely normal. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
Wait for 10 minutes.
Set the temperature regulator (3) to the "MIN" position
Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
Clean the appliance as described in the section Cleaning and care (page 26).
Preparation
Insert drip tray
Push the removable drip tray (10) from the front into the opening on the back of the lower part of the housing until it engages.
Use the spacer
To prevent direct contact of the upper grill plate (8) with the food (e.g., pizzas or similar dishes), use the spacer.
Put the spacer (7) onto the lower grill plate (9) so that the upper grill plate (8) lies securely on the spacer (7) when the lid is closed.
Now prepare the pizza or similar dish as described in Recipe suggestions page 25).
Operation and use
General instructions
The food should be at room temperature since frozen food requires longer to cook and can also dry out.
Before using each time, lightly moisten the grill plates with cooking oil to prevent the food from sticking.
To achieve the best results, preheat the grill until the required temperature has been reached and the standby indicator (4) lights up.
Carefully monitor grilling and regulate the temperature - if necessary.
Possibilities for use
Contact grill
You can prepare various different foods such as steaks, sausages or vegetables using the contact grill.
The contact grill is particularly suitable for quick low-fat preparation of meals since both sides are grilled simultaneously and the ribbed surface of the grill allows fat to quickly flow into the drip tray.
If you wish to grill different food at the same time, they must have the same thickness so that contact to the surface of both grill plates remains even.
Use the spacer
You can use the spacer to increase the space between both grill plates in order to prevent contact of the upper grill plate (8) with the food. This allows more variety of food. For example, dishes such as:
Toast Hawaii, -
Pizza, -
Lahmacun, -
Gratinated vegetables - can be prepared.
Make sure that the gap to the food is adjusted accordingly so that it does not stick to the upper grill plate.
Switching the appliance ON/OFF
Switching on
Insert the drip tray (10) as described in the section Inserting the drip tray (page 23).
Turn the temperature regulator (3) to the lowest level (MIN).
Insert the plug into a mains socket. The power indicator light (5) lights up and the appliance heats up.
Now set the desired grilling temperature.
NOTE
- When the standby indicator (4) lights up, the preset temperature has been reached and grilling can start.
The temperature settings can be changed at any time during grilling.
Switching off
Turn the temperature regulator (3) to the lowest level (MIN).
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
Preparation
Set the desired temperature with the temperatur regulator (3) according to the dish (see the section Temperature regulator; page 22).
Allow the appliance to heat up after switching on. The operating temperature is reached more quickly when the lid (2) is closed.
When the standby indicator (4) lights up, the preset temperature has been reached and grilling can start.
Recipe suggestions
Meat, poultry, fish
To prepare particularly tender and succulent meat, it is recommended to marinate it.
The basic fluid for marinades is oil, vinegar, buttermilk, lemon juice or soya sauce. These basic fluids can be refined to taste with mustard (or mustard seeds), dill, garlic, bay leaves, ketchup and seasoning (such as paprika, curry and pepper).
Salt absorbs water from the meat and should therefore not be added to the marinade. Salt the meat after grilling.
The following table contains some suggestions for seasoning that can be used for the specified types of meat.
| Types of meat | Seasoning suggestions |
| Poultry | Curry, paprika, garlic, sage, thyme, lemon, ginger, honey |
| pork | honey, sage, mustard, rosemary, thyme, garlic |
| beef mustard | chili, horseradish |
| fish | Lemon, curry, coriander, dill, honey, caraway, thyme, juniper, bay leaf |
| Lamb | Rosemary, garlic, oregano, chili, coriander |
Simple marinade
Juice from 2 lemons
3 teaspoons of ground, refined sweet paprika
3 tablespoons of olives or sunflower oil
Pepper
3 pressed garlic cloves
Mix the ingredients well in a bowl. Add the meat and marinade several times so that it is completely moistened. Allow the meat to soak in the marinade for approx. 10 hours in the refrigerator.
Hot marinade:
3 tablespoons of vinegar (e. g., balsamic vinegar)
tablespoons of olive oil
teaspoons of honey
1 tablespoons of hot chili paste (e. g., sambal oelek)
Mix the ingredients well in a bowl. Add the meat and marinade several times so that it is completely moistened. Allow the meat to soak in the marinade for approx. 10 hours in the refrigerator.

2 spicypeppers(chopped)-
2 tomatoes (chopped) -

In the mean time, finely chop the onion and spicy peppers for the topping, add to the bowl together with the other ingredients and mix well.
Roll out the dough thinly to the size of the grill surface and spread the minced meat evenly on top.
Lay the pizza into the lower grill plate (8) and insert the spacer (7) into the appliance.
Put the lid (2) over the spacer (7) and bake the pizza at medium heat.
After using
Switch off the applianc
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Remove heavy stains from a warm but not hot grill plate with a cleaning spatula (12).
Allow the appliance to cool down and clean it as described in the section Cleaning and care (page 26).
Cleaning and care
Before beginning work, pay attention to the safety instructions in the section Safety (page 19)!
The appliance must be cleaned after each use.
Clean the appliance as soon as it has cooled down. Waiting too long makes cleaning unnecessarily difficult.
- Leftovers that stick to the grill plates can burn into the coating if not removed correctly
Grill plates
Wipe the grill plates (8, 9) with a damp cloth or sponge and a little washing-up liquid and then with a damp cloth without washing-up liquid.
NOTE
In the case of stubborn stains, cleaning is easier if the stains are soaked first. To do this, lay kitchen paper moistened with a little washing-up liquid between the cold grill plates.
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the grill plates.
Housing
Wipe the housing with a damp cloth or sponge.
