Frequently Asked Questions - UHZ35 OPTOMA

How to clean the projector lens?

Before cleaning, turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. Use compressed air to remove dust, then gently wipe with a special lens cloth. Never use acidic detergents or volatile solvents like alcohol.

What to do if the projected image is blurry?

Turn the focus ring one way or the other until the image is sharp. Also check that the distance between the projector and screen matches the distances indicated in the manual (pages 55-56).

How to activate 3D mode?

Make sure you have DLP-Link compatible 3D glasses. In the OSD menu, go to Image > 3D and set 3D Mode to On. The input signal must be at 60 Hz (no 4K in 3D).

Can I install the projector on the ceiling?

Yes, the projector supports ceiling installation. Use an Optoma mounting kit or a compatible bracket with M4 screws (min. 10 mm length). Leave at least 10 cm between the ceiling and the bottom of the projector for ventilation.

How to use the HDMI CEC function?

Connect your HDMI CEC compatible devices (Blu-ray player, console...) via the HDMI ports. In the OSD menu, go to Input > HDMI CEC Settings and enable HDMI Link. You can then turn devices on/off simultaneously.

What do the LED indicators on the projector mean?

The Power indicator solid red indicates standby mode. During operation, it is solid green/blue. In case of a problem, the Lamp indicator solid red signals a lamp failure, and the Temp indicator solid red or flashing indicates overheating. Consult the manual for more details.

How to reduce latency for gaming?

Enable Game Mode in the Display menu. This disables geometric corrections and reduces response time down to 4.4 ms at 1080p@240Hz for a more responsive gaming experience.

The projector does not turn on, what to check?

Check that the power cord is properly connected and that the wall outlet works. If the power indicator is solid red, press the power button. If nothing happens, wait 20 seconds then unplug/replug. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to adjust the image size?

Use the optical zoom lever located around the lens. Turn it one way to enlarge the image, the other way to reduce it. You can also move the projector closer to or farther from the screen (see distance table on pages 55-56).

What is the power-off procedure?

Press the power button on the projector or remote. A message will ask you to confirm; press the button again. The projector starts a cooling cycle of about 10 seconds. Wait until the power indicator turns solid red before unplugging the cord.
