Frequently Asked Questions - EP910 OPTOMA

How do I replace the lamp in the Optoma EP910?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Wait 30 minutes for cooling. Remove the lamp cover screw, slide out the old lamp, insert the new one (model SP.91N01.001), and replace the cover. Reset the lamp timer in the settings menu.
Why is my projector showing a 'Lamp Fail' message?
This indicates the lamp needs replacement or there's a connection issue. Check if the lamp is properly seated. If the lamp is new, reset the lamp counter. If the problem persists, contact support.
How do I clean the air filter on the EP910?
Locate the air filter on the side or bottom. Remove it, use a vacuum cleaner gently to remove dust, or rinse with water and let it dry completely. Reinstall and reset the filter warning in the menu.
What is the maximum projection size for this projector?
With a 1.5x zoom, you can project from 30 to 300 inches diagonal. For a 100-inch image, place the projector about 3.5 to 5.2 meters away depending on zoom.
How do I connect external speakers?
Use the audio out (3.5mm jack) on the projector. Connect it to your powered speakers or audio system. The internal speaker is 10W mono.
Can I use this projector for 3D content?
Yes, the EP910 supports 3D via HDMI with DLP Link technology. You need compatible 3D glasses and a 3D Blu-ray player. Enable 3D in the menu.
What is the correct procedure for turning off the projector?
Press the power button, a confirmation will appear. Press again. The cooling fan runs for a few minutes. Do not unplug until the fan stops and the power LED turns solid orange.
The image is upside down. How to fix?
Go to the menu, find 'Display' or 'Projection', and select 'Front Ceiling' or 'Rear Ceiling' depending on your installation. This flips the image vertically or horizontally.
How do I update the firmware?
Download the latest firmware from the Optoma support website. Save it to a USB drive. Insert into the projector, go to 'Setup' > 'Firmware Upgrade' and follow on-screen instructions. Do not turn off during update.
Why is there no signal from my laptop?
Check the cable connection and input source on the projector (press Source button). Ensure your laptop is set to extend or duplicate display (Windows: Win+P; Mac: Mirror/Extend). Try a different cable or port.
