FUTURE USE. *-Remove the packaging and make sure that the appliance is not damaged. When not in use, the remote control can be placed on its support located at the top of the fan. Itis magnetised and can hold the remote when the fan is moved. The remote control is supplied with its battery. 25) This remote control uses a CR2025 bat- tery. Do not use other types of batteries. Do not recharge non-rechargeable bat- teries.
Warning: battery terminals must not be
Short-circuited. When replacing the battery, ensure that the battery is installed correctly, respec- ting polarity. In case of prolonged non-use, remove battery from remote control. To replace the battery:
1. Remove the compartment cover by
turning it counterclockwise.
2. Replace the old battery with a new
one of the same type. Respect the polarities: the + must be visible after insertion into the compartment.
3. Replace the compartment cover by
turning it clockwise. Do not dispose of used batteries in your household rubbish bin. Discard them in a suitable place for recycling batteries. Keep batteries away from children. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. In case of leakage and contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly and seek immediate medical attention. For better operation of the remote control, it is recommended to point it towards the receiver placed above the LED screen. NOTE: To avoid any risk of interference, it is best not to use the fan near other devices using a remote control. Rev 0-12 11 19 Fabriqué en Chine Page 25
OPERATION Place the fan on a flat, stable surface. Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not obstructed. No object should be placed less than 30 cm from the front of the fan. Curtains and other kinds of net- ting and screens must be located more than 30 cm away from the appliance. - nn /8\ 30cm min S Don't place objects within 30 cm Start-up, oscillation and shutdown can be done from the fan or from the remote control. Other commands are acces- sible by remote control only. With each command (fan or remote control), a beep sounds. Insert the power plug into a wall outlet. A beep is heard and a turning point on the LED display indicates that the unit is in standby. Fan controls: EN press the LED screen to turn on the fan. The fan starts at speed 3 and the number 3 is present on the LED screen. Press the LED screen again successively to vary the speed cyclically between 1 and 9. To put the device in standby, press and hold the LED screen for about 2 seconds: a beep sounds; release the screen; the fan stops. x_A To start the oscillation, press the LED screen for about 1 second: the oscillation starts. To stop the oscillation, press the LED screen again for about 1 second: a beep sounds; release the screen; the oscilla- tion stops. Remote control: Rev 0-12 11 19 Fabriqué en Chine Page 26
Key Function Display Press this button to turn the fan on or set it to standby. On power up the number 3 is displayed on the screen to indicate that the device is in speed 3. Ois displayed on the screen when the fan is in standby. Press this button to activate the timer. Each press of the button represents 1 additional hour (maximum 8 hours). The unit will automatically stop when the selected time has elapsed. At the first press, the number 1 and a flashing dot appear on the screen. With each new press the time displayed on the screen is increased by one hour. To deactivate the timer, press the «Standby» button to stop the device, or press the «Timer» key repeatedly until the display shows
0. After about one second, the
selected speed is displayed again. Press this button to select the "Night" operating mode. In this mode, fan speed "1" is automatically selected. The letter «L» is displayed on the LED screen. Press this button to select the highest speed (This speed is greater than 9). The letter «H» is displayed on the LED screen. CSA Press this button to turn the fan horizontally. Press again to stop the turn. IMPORTANT : When the unit is idle, its power is not completely off. When the unit is no longer used, it is recommended to disconnect it from the wall outlet. MAINTENANCE - The appliance must be cleaned and checked regularly. No di- sassembly is necessary. + BEFORE SERVICING, ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD! - Take care that water or other liquids do not come in contact with the motor or any other electrical parts during cleaning. + Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean your fan, and then dry it. + Do not use THINNERS, ALCOHOL or OTHER CHEMICALS. \\ - The air inlets and outlets must be cleaned with a vacuum clea- \ ner or a soft brush. \\ - For storage in case of prolonged non-use, ensure that the sto- AN rage room is clean and not humid. The product must be handed over to one ofthe waste collection centers provided by the municipal administration or to the dealers providing this service. The guarantee does not cover the damage caused by: incorrect usage, deterioration by shock, fall or atmospheric phenomenon. In case of malfunction, the product in its entirety (packaging, product, accessories) must be returned by the user (In postage paid if sent by mail. ‘Postage due’ packages will not be accepted.) At the point of sale where the product sold, accompanied by a photocopy of the dated proof of purchase bearing the vendor’s stamp. The appliance will be returned to you free of charge during the warranty period and upon reimbursement of costs after this period.
