Important: Read carefully these instructions to familiarize yourself with the equipment before connecting it to its gas container. Keep these instructions for future reference. This device shall only be used with direct pressure butane cartridge mod. Dexter 1120S1DX. It can be dangerous to try to use other gas cartridges. Use only in well ventilated areas. WARNINGS This unit is reserved exclusively for brazing, for soldering tin, aluminum and silver, for forging, for bending bars, sheets and tubes, for paint stripping and for thawing. Check that seals (between the appliance and the gas container) are in place and in good condition before connecting to the gas container (fig. 5 letter C). Do not use the appliance if it has damaged or worn seals. Do not use a device that leakage, deteriorated or malfunctioning. This appliance should be used in sufficiently aerated places in accordance with regulations in force. The volume of air needed for proper combustion and to prevent formation of dangerous unburned gas mixtures is 2 m° /h per kW. The appliance must operate in horizontal position or with a maximum inclination of 45 ° in order to avoid a dangerous lengthening of flame caused by burning of cartridge's fuel in liquid phase. The appliance should be operated away from flammable materials and at a distance of 70 cm from furniture, walls and ceilings. Gas containers shall be changed in a well ventilated location, preferably outside, away from any sources of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away from other people. If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into a well ventilated flame free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Do not try to detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water. Caution: accessible parts may become very hot. Keep young children away from the appliance. When the equipment is not in use must be stored upright, in suitable places, protecting it from degradation risks, the place must be well ventilated and kept away from children. USER INSTRUCTION The cartridge must mounted in a ventilated area, preferentially outside, away from open flames, pilot flames, hot plates, heat sources and away from other people. Smoking is prohibited during assembling operation and all operations of the unit.
1. Separate completely the base from the top by unscrewing it on clockwise direction
(fig. 1). Remove the top. Remove the cartridge holder spring (fig.2). Insert the cartridge in the base and lock it with the cartridge holder spring (fig. 3 e 4). Make sure the rubber seal of the tap is in regular position (Fig. 5 letter C) and that it is not damaged. Make sure the gas supply tap knob is in the closed position which is locked in a clockwise direction (Fig. 5 letter D). nEwNR
7. Screw the base to the top side by turning it counterclockwise until it stops, holding it
in stable position and on a horizontal plane (Fig. 6).
8. When replacing the cartridge repeat from step 1 after making sure that the gas
cartridge is completely empty. The cartridge is currently perforated; when opening the valve, if there is no gas release, the cartridge should absolutely not be removed as the cartridge is anyway punctured. In this case, contact your retailer. In order to avoid the risk of liquid gas leakage use the soldering lamp in an horizontal or slightly oblique position (max 45° ). IGNITION: Slightly open the valve counterclockwise "+" and bring a lighted match near the burner. Repeat in case of power failure. Increase the power of the appliance by turning the knob towards the "+" sign (counterclockwise). To decrease the power, turn the knob towards the "-" sign (clockwise) until the shutdown. CARTRIDGE CHANGE The cartridge must be replaced in a ventilated area, preferably outside, away from open flames, pilot flames, electric and away from other people. Replace the cartridge until you are sure it is completely empty, shaking the appliance, you should not hear the liquid splash in the cartridge. Make sure that the valve is closed and the burner is off before removing the gas cartridge. Unscrew the unit from the housings and remove the empty gas cartridge. Check the good condition of the seals before using a new cartridge. Insert the new gas cartridge into the housings and proceed as described in paragraph "USER INSTRUCTION." The cartridge must not be abandoned in the environment but in a safe place. Do not pierce the cartridge. Do not throw the empty cartridge into fire. MAINTENANCE To clean the body of your appliance, use a cotton wad soaked in warm water and soap. Never use abrasive products. To clean the burner, use a soft brush. Do not modify the appliance. It's dangerous to bring modification on device, remove or disassemble its components or use components which are not approved by the manufacturer, all of this causes the cancellation of warranty and manufacturer's responsibility. WARRANTY This appliance is warranted for 24 months (which become 12 months when the product is bought with invoice for professional use). 1. This guarantee shall include the free replacement, within the established terms, of all the pieces with manufacturing faults. The problems resulting from the appliance wear or damage or from tampering with it shall not be covered by this guarantee. In addition, any possible damage caused by the inappropriateness of the environment in which the equipment operates and by phenomena that do not depend on the appliance normal operation shall not be covered either.
2. Claims must be notified within 60 days.
3. The guarantee shall be valid if accompanied by the receipt or by the invoice and by reference to lot number of the label affixed to the product.
4. All appliances must be resend to the point of purchase.
5. This guarantee shall no longer be valid in case of having tampered with the appliances or in case the repair operation has not been carried out by qualified personnel. 6. The compensation for any kind of direct or indirect damage to people or things resulting from misuse or from interrupting the appliance use in order to repair it shall not be covered by this guarantee.
