  • Check the overall condition of the soldering lamp.
  • Ensure there are no gas leaks.
  • Check that the tip is clean and in good condition.

3. Filling the tank

  • If necessary, fill the tank with the gas recommended for this model.
  • Always do this while following safety instructions.

4. Starting up

  • Slowly open the gas valve by turning the dedicated knob.
  • Ignite the flame using a lighter or a flint by bringing the flame close to the tip.

5. Adjusting the flame

  • Adjust the size and intensity of the flame with the adjustment knob.
  • A blue flame is generally ideal for effective soldering.

6. Using for soldering

  • Hold the soldering lamp at an appropriate angle to the piece being heated.

How to safely disassemble the DEXTER LM70235921 soldering lamp?
Frequently Asked Questions - 15/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

To safely disassemble the DEXTER LM70235921 soldering lamp, follow these precise steps:

1. Preparation

  • Unplug the device: Ensure that the soldering lamp is completely unplugged from any power source to avoid any electrical risk.
  • Let it cool down: Wait for the lamp to be completely cool before starting the disassembly to avoid burns.
  • Gather the necessary tools: A suitable screwdriver (usually Phillips), pliers, and possibly a small container to keep the screws.

2. Disassembly

  • Locate the screws: Look for all visible screws that hold the casing or external parts of the lamp.
  • Remove the screws: Carefully unscrew them and keep them in a safe place.
  • Separate the parts: Gently open the casing. Be careful with the internal wires to avoid tearing or damaging them.
  • Note the assembly: Take photos or make sketches to remember the location of the parts and connections, which will make reassembly easier.

3. Additional precautions

  • Handle internal components carefully, especially fragile elements like wires, connectors, and the bulb.
  • Never force parts; if something is stuck, check for hidden screws or clips.
  • Work in a clean and well-lit space to avoid losing small parts.

How to insert and pierce the gas cartridge on a DEXTER LM70235921 soldering lamp?
Frequently Asked Questions - 01/01/2026
Response Notice-Facile

To insert and pierce the gas cartridge on your DEXTER LM70235921 soldering lamp, you must exclusively use a DEXTER model 1120S1DX butane gas cartridge with direct pressure. The assembly operation should always be carried out in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors, away from any open flames, heat sources, and other people. It is strictly forbidden to smoke during this operation.

Assembly steps:

  • Completely separate the base from the upper part by unscrewing it clockwise (figure 1).
  • Move the upper part of the lamp away.
  • Remove the cartridge locking system (figure 2).
  • Insert the 1120S1DX cartridge into the base and secure it firmly with the locking system (figures 3 and 4).
  • Check that the rubber seal of the valve is in the correct position and is not damaged (figure 5 point C). Worn or damaged seals would prevent the device from being airtight.
  • Ensure that the gas flow valve is fully closed and locked clockwise (figure 5 point D).

Piercing the cartridge: Screw the base to the upper part by turning it counterclockwise until fully tightened, while keeping the device stable on a horizontal surface (figure 6). The piercing occurs automatically during this operation. The cartridge is now pierced and ready for use.

If after opening the valve there is no gas flow, know that the cartridge is pierced anyway and must not be disassembled. Contact your dealer in this case. To avoid the risk of liquid gas loss, always use your soldering lamp in a horizontal or slightly inclined position (maximum 45°).

Before lighting the device, follow essential safety instructions: keep the lamp at least 70 centimeters away from furniture, walls, and ceilings, keep it away from all flammable materials, and ensure that the area is well-ventilated with a minimum air flow of 2 m³/hour for each kilowatt of consumption.

This device shall only be used with direct pressure butane cartridge mod. Dexter

1120S1DX. It can be dangerous to try to use other gas cartridges.

Use only in well ventilated areas.

WARNING

This unit is reserved exclusively for brazing, for soldering tin, aluminum and silver, for forging, for bending bars, sheets and tubes, for paint stripping and for thawing.

Check that seals (between the appliance and the gas container) are in place and in good condition before connecting to the gas container (fig. 5 letter C).

Do not use the appliance if it has damaged or worn seals.

Do not use a device that leakage, deteriorated or malfunctioning.

This appliance should be used in sufficiently aerated places in accordance with regulations in force. The volume of air needed for proper combustion and to prevent formation of the atmosphere is determined by the ratio _p = 34 (1.5 and 1.8).

formation of dangerous unburned gas mixtures is 2m^3/h per kW.

The appliance must operate in horizontal position or with a maximum inclination of 45 °

in order to avoid a dangerous lengthening of flame caused by burning of cartridge's fuel in liquid phase.

The appliance should be operated away from flammable materials and at a distance of 70 cm from furniture, walls and ceilings.

Gas containers shall be changed in a well ventilated location, preferably outside, away from any sources of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away from other people.

If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into a well ventilated flame free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Do not try to detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water.

USERINSTRUCTION

The cartridge must mounted in a ventilated area, preferentially outside, away from open flames, pilot flames, hot plates, heat sources and away from other people. Smoking is prohibited during assembling operation and all operations of the unit.

  1. Separate completely the base from the top by unscrewing it on clockwise direction (fig. 1).
  2. Remove the top.
  3. Remove the cartridge holder spring (fig.2).
  4. Insert the cartridge in the base and lock it with the cartridge holder spring (fig. 3 e 4).
  5. Make sure the rubber seal of the tap is in regular position (Fig. 5 letter C) and that it is not damaged.
  6. Make sure the gas supply tap knob is in the closed position which is locked in a clockwise direction (Fig. 5 letter D).

  7. Screw the base to the top side by turning it counterclockwise until it stops, holding it in stable position and on a horizontal plane (Fig. 6).

  8. When replacing the cartridge repeat from step 1 after making sure that the gas cartridge is completely empty.

The cartridge is currently perforated; when opening the valve, if there is no gas release, the cartridge should absolutely not be removed as the cartridge is anyway punctured. In this case, contact your retailer. In order to avoid the risk of liquid gas leakage use the soldering lamp in an horizontal or slightly oblique position (max 45^ ).

IGNITION: Slightly open the valve counterclockwise "+" and bring a lighted match near the burner. Repeat in case of power failure. Increase the power of the appliance by turning the knob towards the "+" sign (counterclockwise). To decrease the power, turn the knob towards the "-" sign (clockwise) until the shutdown.

CARTRIDGE CHANGE

The cartridge must be replaced in a ventilated area, preferably outside, away from open flames, pilot flames, electric and away from other people.

Replace the cartridge until you are sure it is completely empty, shaking the appliance, you should not hear the liquid splash in the cartridge.

Make sure that the valve is closed and the burner is off before removing the gas cartridge.

Unscrew the unit from the housings and remove the empty gas cartridge.
