Why does my Pioneer MVH-S410BT car radio keep disconnecting from Bluetooth and how can I fix this issue?
Frequently Asked Questions - 28/01/2026
Response Notice-Facile

If your Pioneer MVH-S410BT car radio frequently disconnects from Bluetooth, several causes may be responsible. Here are the solutions to try in order to resolve this issue.

First, check the number of connected Bluetooth devices: If you have registered more than ten Bluetooth devices on the unit (phone, audio player, etc.), they may not function properly. If this is the case, go to the main menu, select SYSTEM, then BTMEM CLEAR and choose [YES] to clear the list of stored devices. This removes the stored Bluetooth data, including paired devices, PIN codes, and call history. Once cleared, re-pair your phone.

Re-pair the phone correctly: Remove the device from your phone by going to Bluetooth settings, then forget the device named “Pioneer MVH-S410BT”. Restart your phone and the car radio, then restart the pairing process. Ensure that the Bluetooth connection is properly established: a Bluetooth icon should appear on the car radio screen.

Reconnect after each shutdown: According to the technical manual, you must reconnect the Bluetooth connection every time you change the source or turn off the unit. If you turn off and on the car, restart the Bluetooth connection from your phone or press BAND/2> on the car radio to establish a new connection.

Check the range and eliminate interference: Keep your phone at a reasonable distance from the car radio (ideally less than 10 meters) without major obstacles. Nearby electronic devices, such as other Bluetooth or Wi-Fi devices, may generate interference. Move these devices away or turn them off temporarily to test the stability of the connection.

Disable AUTO APP CONN if there are incoming call issues: If your device displays a message related to automatic app connection, go to the SYSTEM menu and select [OFF] for [AUTO APP CONN]. This option can sometimes interfere with the stability of the Bluetooth connection.

Reset the car radio as a last resort: If the problem persists, perform a complete reset. Go to the SYSTEM RESET menu and select [YES] to reset all device settings to their factory values. The car radio will automatically restart. You will then need to re-pair your phone from scratch. Alternatively, you can physically press the RESET button located under the front panel (first remove this panel) using a sharp instrument longer than 8 mm.
