IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. tVentilation Allow at least a 10 cm gap all around the product. tThe ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc. tNo naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus. tThis apparatus is not suitable for use in a tropical climate. tThe apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus. tAttention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. Don’t throw used batteries in dustbin. Please contact your retailer in order to protect the environment. tTo protect the environment, use local recycling facilities for battery disposal. tBatteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. tCAUTION: Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. tDisposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery or expose to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or
the like that can result in an explosion. tLeaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas. tA battery subjected in extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas. tDifferent types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. tBatteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. tExhausted batteries are to be removed from the appliance. tThe supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. To prevent possible high sound pressure and hearing damage risk, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

This mark is applied to show the equipment conforms to European radio equipment directive. Battery handling and usage Only adults should handle the batteries (not included). Do not allow a child to use this unit unless the battery cover is securely attached to the unit. The battery type used in the unit is 2 AAA size batteries which are accessible and can be replaced. Remove the battery cover from the back of the unit and then remove the batteries.

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES 1. Remove the battery cover. 2. Insert 2 x AAA size batteries, observing the proper polarity markings in the battery compartment. 3. Replace the battery cover, making sure that a click is heard. NOTE: Remove the batteries from the radio if they will not be used for an extended period of time.
LISTENING TO THE RADIO Turn the volume control knob to turn on the radio. Select the desired band by setting the band selector to AM or FM position. Adjust the volume using the volume control knob. Turn the tuning control to tune to the desired frequency and station.
5. To turn off the radio, turn the volume control
knob fully anticlockwise to the OFF position until a click is heard.
Radio Reception FM reception Extend the telescopic antenna and adjust the direction and angle.
AM reception Retract the telescopic antenna and rotate the unit.
USING HEADPHONES You can connect headphones (not included) to the headphone jack on the side of your radio. When you have headphones connected, the radio speakers will be switched off and all sound is via the headphones.
