MAINTENANCE

FALMEC ELIOS - MAINTENANCE - 1

Before performing any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect the appliance from the power supply by pulling the plug out of the socket using the main switch.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents,

acidic or corrosive substances, or cloths with a hard surface.

Regular maintenance guarantees proper functioning and efficiency.

CAUTION: Do not place on metal surfaces that can be scratched, as the regular filter replacement guarantees the absence of easily flammable metal dust accumulations.

CLEANING OF EXTERNAL SURFACES

It is recommended to clean the external surface of the hood at least every 15 days to avoid damage from oils or greasy substances. For cleaning stainless steel surfaces, the manufacturer recommends using "Magic Steel" cloths.

As an alternative, and for all other surfaces, a damp cloth moistened with neutral liquid detergent or denatured alcohol can be used.

Finish cleaning with a thorough rinse and dry with a soft cloth.

FALMEC ELIOS - CLEANING OF EXTERNAL SURFACES - 1

Do not use too much water near the control panel or lighting devices to avoid water getting onto electrical parts.

Cleaning of glass surfaces should only be done with special non-corrosive and non-abrasive cleaning agents and a soft cloth.

The manufacturer is not responsible for non-compliance with these instructions.

CLEANING OF INTERNAL SURFACES

FALMEC ELIOS - CLEANING OF INTERNAL SURFACES - 1

It is forbidden to clean electrical components or parts of motors inside the hood with liquids or solvents.

Cleaning of internal metal parts is described in the previous paragraph.

METAL GREASE FILTERS

It is recommended to frequently clean the metal filters (at least twice a month) by soaking them in a solution of hot water and degreasing detergent, being careful not to bend the filters.

Do not use corrosive, acidic, or alkaline cleaning agents.

Rinse thoroughly and let them dry completely before reinstalling them in place.

The filter can be cleaned, but it may lead to damage of the filter material. To reduce this, use gentle programs with a maximum temperature of 55°C.

Removal and installation of metal grease filters is described in the installation instructions.

ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER

These filters retain contaminants contained in the air passing through them. The purified air is returned to the room.

The activated carbon filter must be replaced with new ones every 3-4 months under normal use intensity.

Instructions for replacing the activated carbon filters are given in the installation instructions.

LIGHTING

The hood is equipped with high-efficiency, low-energy LED lighting elements with a long service life under normal operating conditions.

If it is necessary to replace the light bulb, act as shown in the figure.
