Installation and connection

This machine is for domestic use only. It may only be used in a covered, enclosed and heated environment such as a kitchen or any other room meeting the same specifications.

Having taken your product out of its packaging, check that the machine is in perfect condition and, in particular, that the plug or the power cable is not damaged. If there is any doubt contact your dealer's after-sales service.

Before connecting the machine make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the machine's rating plate.

c) Before Using for the First Time

Before using for the first time remove all the plastic sachets, cardboard and paper which protect the various parts of the machine.

Clean the cooking plate with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry it carefully. Before cleaning the cooking plate make sure that the machine is unplugged.

When using for the first time a small amount of smoke make be given off by the machine. It is completely inoffensive and will disappear after using several times.

Advice: To avoid this happening allow the machine to pre-heat for 15 minutes before using it to cook the food and consider airing the room.

USING YOUR MACHINE a) Putting into Service

Do not use the machine too close to curtains or any other flammable materials.

Install the cooking plate.

Plug in the machine. Turn the temperature selector (4) to Position ●●. Pre-heat your appliance on Position ●● for 15 minutes.

The temperature rise indicator comes on when the thermostat begins to work. When the desired temperature is reached the thermostat cuts out and the indicator light goes out.

After pre-heating for 15 minutes pour the pancake batter onto the plate.

After 15 minutes you can pour the pancake batter onto the plate.

Make sure the amount of pancake batter is not excessive. If you use too much batter, this could overflow and soil the machine.

It is easy to see if the pancake is cooked. If the pancake batter does not stick to the plate then the pancake is cooked.

Once cooking is finished you can keep your pancakes warm by turning the thermostat back to Position ●.

To remove the cooked pancake, use the spatula supplied.

Do not use a metal or pointed object otherwise you could damage the surface of the cooking plate.

Classic Pancakes (wheat flour) Ingredients for about 20 - 25 pancakes -

500 g sieved wheat flour

In a large bowl mix the flour with the milk until a fluid batter is obtained. Then add the beaten eggs, 2 pinches of salt and 2 soup spoons of oil or melted butter. Mix vigorously. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to rest for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator before pouring the batter onto the pancake maker.

1 sachet baking powder

Mix all the ingredients in a blender for 3 minutes with 10 second pauses. Pour the batter obtained into a bowl and leave to rest for 15 minutes. Small bubbles will form on the surface. Pour the batter onto your pancake maker. The pancake is cooked when the entire surface is covered with small, regular holes. Remove the pancake, wipe the cooking plate and repeat the operation until all the ingredients have been used. To go with your pancakes: In a saucepan on a gentle heat, melt 100 g butter, 200 g honey and 3 soup spoons of crème fraiche. Emulsify the preparation with a fork. Pour into a sauce boat and keep hot until it is time to serve. Blinis Ingredients -

Mix the milk at room temperature with the yeast. Leave to rest. In a large bowl make a well with the flour and put the salt, yeast and egg yolks in the middle. Mix well adding the milk gradually. Leave to rest for 4 hours. Whisk the egg whites and incorporate them into the preparation gently. Put the butter on the plate and wait until it melts. Using the small ladle supplied, pour the batter onto the plate and cook the blinis on both sides.

Once cooking has finished, unplug the power supply lead.

Wait until the machine has cooled completely before cleaning or storing it.

Remove the plate from the machine. The plate is dishwasher-proof but you can also wash it with a non-abrasive sponge, hot water and washing-up liquid. If the plate is washed in the dishwasher either rinse it with water or wipe it with a cloth beforehand.

Clean the machine with a slightly damp cloth. Never immerse the machine in water or any other liquid to avoid the risk of electric shocks.
