How to connect the player to a TV?

Use an HDMI cable to connect the player to the TV's HDMI input. Make sure the TV is turned on and set to the correct source.

How to update the firmware?

You can update via the network: go to Setup > Player Settings > System > Software Update. You can also use the included CD-ROM to access the PDF file with instructions.

The player does not detect the disc, what to do?

Check that the disc is inserted correctly (label facing up) and that it is clean. If the problem persists, try another disc to rule out a player defect.

How to play a 3D Blu-ray disc?

Ensure that your TV and HDMI cable are 3D compatible. Insert the disc, select the 3D title in the menu, and wear appropriate 3D glasses.

How to use the Wi-Fi function?

Go to Setup > Network > Wireless Settings. Select your network, enter the password (WPA/WPA2) and confirm. The player will connect automatically.

How to reset the player to factory settings?

In the menu Setup > Player Settings > System > Initialization, select 'Return to factory settings'. Confirm to erase all personal data.

What to do if no image appears?

First check that the TV is on the correct input. Make sure the HDMI cable is properly connected. If the problem persists, try another cable or another HDMI port.

How to clean the player?

Unplug the device. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Never use liquid or abrasive products. Discs can be cleaned with an antistatic cloth.

The player no longer responds to the remote control, why?

Check that the batteries are correctly inserted (respect polarity) and that they are charged. Point the remote control at the player's front sensor. Remove obstacles.

Can I play video files from a USB stick?

Yes, plug a USB stick or external hard drive into the USB port (type not specified). Use the Functions button to select 'USB' and navigate the files.

STEP 3 : Settings

Turn on the TV and select the appropriate video input.

Follow the on-screen instructions to continue with the settings.

• Standby/on switch (♂/l)

Press to switch the unit from on to standby mode or vice versa. In standby mode, the unit still consumes a small amount of power.

STEP 4: Playing a disc

Insert the disc.

Select the item to play and press [OK].
