How to clean the filters?

What to do if the rotating brush is blocked?

BEFORE STARTING

Check that the package includes all parts described in this instruction manual and read this manual carefully. Pay special attention to the safety precautions chapter. Save these instructions.

1. Assemble the handle.

2. Assemble the charge stand.

There is a hollow space in the bottom of the charging station where unused cable can be wound. Insert the adaptor into the mains and position the charging station on a stable and horizontal surface away from heat sources, direct sunlight or wet places.

The charging indicator will be lit when ERGORAPIDO* is placed in the charging station.

CHARGING ERGORAPIDO

When fully charged, the charging indicator will blink slowly. The numbers of LED lamps will indicate the level of charge. Full charging time is around 4 hours. For better battery performance, charge ERGORAPIDO® for 24 hours before first use and always keep it on charge when not used.

VACUUMING WITH ERGORAPIDO*

Before vacuuming, check that the nozzle wheels and the brush roll are clean from sharp objects in order to avoid scratching sensitive floors.

6. Start and stop ERGORAPIDO* by pushing the ON/OFF button. ERGORAPIDO* will start on the high power mode.

For more silent cleaning and longer runtime, press the power regulation button.

7 Press the button to release the hand unit from the main body.

8 Attach the crevice nozzle to facilitate cleaning of areas difficult to reach. Attach the brush on the crevice nozzle for dusting.

9 The crevice nozzle and small brush can be stored in the charging station or in the slot on the back side of the handle.

BRUSHROLLCLEAN* FUNCTION (CERTAIN MODELS ONLY)

Use the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function to keep the brush roll clean and effectively remove the black spots from the brush. The BRUSHROLLCLEAN function when ERGORAPIDC* is fully charged.

Place ERGORAPIDO* on a hard and flat surface. Do not use the BRUSHROLLCLEAN* function on carpets.

Press the BRUSHROLLCLEAN' pedal with your foot while the cleaner is on. Hold for 5 seconds until hairs and fibres are removed. There will be a cutting noise during this process, this is normal. If hairs remain on the brush roll, repeat the process.

The BRUSHROLLCLEAN function is equipped with an overheating protection. If the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function has been used for more than 30 seconds (constant or interrupted) it will deactivate the brush roll and turn off the nozzle front lights. The vacuum cleaner can still be used, even when the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function is deactivated. To reactivate the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function, place ERGORAPIDO on

Charge and charge for 15 minutes. Please note that the BRUSHROLLCLEAN® function might not be able to remove thicker threads or wires that are caught in the brush roll. 11 Remove the dust container by pressing the buttons. 12 Take out the filters from the dust container by pressing the release buttons. Shake to remove excess water and leave to dry for at least 12 hours before putting them back into the cleaner. 15 Loosen the hose behind the nozzle from its upper connection. Remove any object or debris that can be blocking the airflow in the hose or in the air channel to the dust cup, and put the hose back. 16 If the wheels need to be cleaned or get jammed, remove them carefully by using a flat screwdriver. 17 If the brushroll gets blocked, ERGORAPIDO will stop. Open the cable protector grill and the brush roll hatch cover and remove the brush roll. 18 Use a pair of scissors to remove threads, etc. Reassemble the brush roll, making sure it can spin freely. Warning: Battery removal must only be done by an Electrolux service center or official collection point! 19 Only remove batteries if the product is to be scrapped. Improper handling of the batteries may be hazardous. Batteries should always be completely discharged before removal. Take your product to an Electrolux service center or official collection point for recycling. They can remove and recycle the battery and electric parts in a safe and professional way. Follow your country's rules for collection of rechargeable batteries and electrical products.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Batteries must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.

The battery is to be disposed of safely.

Only use the charging adapter that was provided with the product.

ERGORAPIDO should only be used for normal vacuuming indoors and in a domestic environment. Make sure it is stored in a dry place. Packaging material, e.g. plastic bags should not be accessible to children to avoid suffocation.

Never use the vacuum cleaner:

In wet areas. - Close to flammable gases, etc. - When the product shows visible signs of damage. - On sharp objects or liquids. - On hot or cold cinders, lighted cigarette butts, etc. - On fine dust, for instance from plaster, concrete, flour, hot or cold ashes.

Caution:

• Do not leave the vacuum cleaner in direct sunlight.
• Avoid exposing the vacuum cleaner to strong heat.
• The battery cells within must not be dismantled, short circuited or placed against a metal surface.
• Never use the vacuum cleaner without its filters.
• Do not try to touch the brush roll while the cleaner is switched on and the brush roll is turning.
• Mind your fingers if cleaning the inside of the floor nozzle. The metal blade of the BRUSHROLLCLEAN® function is sharp and could cause injury.

Using the vacuum cleaner in the above circumstances may cause serious personal injury or damage to the product. Such injury or damage is not covered by the warranty or by Electrolux.

SERVICING AND WARRANTY

All service or repairs must be carried out by an authorized Electrolux service centre.

This warranty does not cover reduction in battery runtime due to battery age or use, as the life of the battery depends upon the amount and nature of use.

To protect the motor, battery and electronics the product should not be stored or operated in:

• An ambient temperature below 5°C or exceeding 35°C. If the product is stored in a temperature below 5°C or exceeding 35°C, let the product cool down or warm up and dry for a few hours before usage.
• A humidity level below 20% or exceeding 80% (non-condensing).

If the product is stored for an extended time period (without usage or continuous charging), we recommend to store the product in normal room temperature with the batteries charged at 50% capacity or more. This will maintain the performance of the product.

Attention! Dew condensation may form inside the product if the unit is moved from a cold to a warm environment or after heating up the storage room. Wait a few hours for the internal components to warm up and dry before usage.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before using the appliance, carefully read the instructions and keep them for future reference. Pay special attention to the safety precautions. Keep these instructions.

1 Remove the handle. 2 Remove the mounting bracket. 3 The lower part of the mounting bracket has a space where the cable can be wound. Connect the adapter to the electrical outlet and place the mounting bracket on a stable and horizontal surface, away from heat sources, direct sunlight, or wet areas. 4 When ERGORAPIDO is placed in the mounting bracket, the charging indicator will light up.

CHARGING ERGORAPIDO

5 When fully charged, the charging indicator will turn off. The number of lit LEDs will show the charging level. The full charging time is about 4 hours. For better battery efficiency, charge ERGORAPIDO for 24 hours before first use and recharge it whenever it is not in use.

USING ERGORAPIDO

Before cleaning, check that the brush roller has no sharp objects to avoid damaging the floor or to ensure optimal cleaning results.

6. Start the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button.

ERGORAPIDO operates at high power. For more delicate cleaning or longer runtime, press the button to adjust the power.

CLEANING FURNITURE, CAR SEATS, AND UPHOLSTERY.

7. Press the button to release the flat part from the main body. 8. Attach the crevice nozzle to better clean hard-to-reach areas. Attach the brush to the crevice nozzle for dusting. 9. The crevice nozzle and small brush can be stored in the holder on the back of the appliance.

BRUSHROLLCLEAN® FUNCTION (SELF-CLEANING FOR SELECTED MODELS)

Use the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function to keep the brush clean and free of hair and fibers. For best results, use the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function when ERGORAPIDO is fully charged.

10. Place ERGORAPIDO on a flat, stable surface. Do not use the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function on carpets.

Press the BRUSHROLLCLEAN button with your foot while the vacuum is on. Keep it pressed for 5 seconds until the brush and fabric are clean. During this process, you may hear a noise, which is normal. If the brush is still dirty, repeat the process.

The BRUSHROLLCLEAN® function is equipped with protection against overheating. If the BRUSHROLLCLEAN® function is used for more than 36 seconds (continuously), it will automatically deactivate to protect the brush and motor. The vacuum can be used normally. To reactivate the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function, place ERGORAPIDO on the charging base and charge it for 15 minutes. Please note that the BRUSHROLLCLEAN function may not be effective on very thick threads or cords that are tangled in the brush.

EMPTYING THE DUST CONTAINER.

11. Empty the dust container by pressing the buttons. 12. Remove the filters from the dust container by pressing the buttons to release them. Empty the contents into a trash bin. Never wash the dust container or filters in a dishwasher.

CLEANING THE FILTERS!

13. Clean the filters regularly to ensure high performance. Remove the filters by pressing the buttons to release them. Separate the inner filter from the outer filter. 14. Rinse the filters carefully with cold water, without using any detergents. (Never use a washing machine for cleaning.) Shake to remove excess water and let them dry for at least 12 hours before putting them back into the vacuum.

CLEANING THE TUBE AND THE HOSE.

15. Disconnect the tube from the hose by turning it counterclockwise. Remove any objects or blockages that may obstruct airflow in the tube or in the hose leading to the dust container, then reattach the tube. 16. If the hose needs cleaning or is blocked, carefully clean it using a long screwdriver.

REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF THE APPLIANCE

17 If the appliance is blocked, ERGORAPIDO® stops working. Open the cable inlet grille and the appliance compartment cover, then remove the appliance. 18 Remove the plug from the socket to disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Reassemble the appliance, making sure it can rotate freely.

REMOVAL OF THE BATTERIES FOR RECYCLING

Warning: The removal of the batteries must be carried out only by an authorized Electrolux Service Center or by an official collection point!

19 Remove the batteries yourself only if the product is completely discharged. Improper handling of the batteries can be dangerous.

SERVICE AND WARRANTY

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

The device must be used for technical maintenance only, without any load.

In case of device failure, it is necessary to first remove the batteries from it.

Batteries must be disposed of in a safe manner.

Use only the adapter supplied with the product.

ERGORAPIDO is intended for use with ordinary household appliances in domestic conditions. Make sure the device is stored in a dry place.

Packaging materials, such as plastic bags, must not be accessible to children to avoid the risk of suffocation.

It is forbidden to use the device:

• For cleaning wet surfaces;
• Near flammable gases or liquids;
• If the device shows visible signs of damage;
• On sharp objects or edges;
• For collecting hot ash, embers, or for collecting liquids such as glue, paint, concrete, borscht, hot or cold liquids.

Caution!

• Do not immerse the vacuum cleaner in water or other liquids. Do not expose the vacuum cleaner to strong heat.
• It is forbidden to disassemble the batteries inside the vacuum cleaner, to pierce them or short-circuit them, or to dispose of them on metal surfaces. Never use the device without filters. Do not touch the power cord when the vacuum cleaner is plugged in and the cord is being wound.
• Keep fingers away from the brush roll during cleaning. The BRUSHROLLCLEAN® function is sharp and can cause serious injury.

Using the appliance in conditions other than those described may cause serious injury or damage to the appliance. Such injuries or damage are not covered by the Electrolux warranty.

SERVICE AND WARRANTY

All repair work must be carried out by an authorized Electrolux service center.

The warranty does not cover the reduced operating time of the battery, its aging, or normal wear and tear.
