How to connect the CMX-24 to DMX dimmers?
Use a 3-pin XLR DMX cable to connect the DMX OUT of the CMX-24 to the input of the first dimmer. If no signal is detected, try toggling the polarity switch located next to the DMX connector.
How to program a simple scene?
Activate Programming mode (hold RECORD then press keys A1, A5, A6, A8). Adjust the A faders for the desired atmosphere, then press RECORD to store in working memory. Then hold RECORD and press the B fader of your choice to assign the scene.
How to synchronize light effects with music?
Connect an audio source (CD player, mixing desk) to the LINE IN (RCA) input or use the built-in microphone. Press the AUDIO key until the LED lights up. Adjust the AUDIO LEVEL fader to set the sensitivity. The effects will then follow the rhythm.
How to adjust the speed of a chase effect?
Use the SPEED fader to continuously adjust speed. You can also press the TAP SYNC key twice to set a manual tempo. For a fixed speed stored on a B fader, use the REC SPEED function.
What to do if the console does not respond?
Check that the power adapter is properly connected and the voltage is correct. Try turning off and on again. If the problem persists, check the DMX cables and ensure that Black Out mode is not activated (flashing LED).
How to erase all memories?
Put the console in Programming mode (hold RECORD + A1, A5, A6, A8). Then hold RECORD and press A1, A1, A2, A3 successively. Caution: this operation is irreversible and erases all scenes and chases.
Can I use the CMX-24 without a DMX cable?
No, the CMX-24 is a DMX control console. To control lights, you must connect its DMX output to compatible DMX dimmers or devices.
How to modify an existing scene?
Switch to Edit mode (Programming mode + Chase/Scenes active). Hold RECORD and press the B fader containing the scene. Use UP or DOWN combined with the flash buttons of the channels to adjust levels. Exit with RECORD + REC EXIT.
What does the blinking 'Black Out' LED mean?
The Black Out function is active: all DMX values are forced to 0. To deactivate, press the BLACK OUT key until the LED turns off (blinking stops).
How to use the remote control via the REMOTE jack?
Connect a 3.5 mm stereo jack to the REMOTE socket. Connect the ring to ground to toggle the BLACK OUT function, and the tip to ground to activate FULL-ON (momentary).
