How to connect a computer via USB?
Connect a USB cable between the computer and one of the USB ports (USB1 for CH4, USB2 for CH5). The computer detects the mixer as a sound card. No driver is needed. You can play music from the computer and record your mix simultaneously.
How to clean the mixer?
Use a soft, very slightly damp cloth to wipe the surface. Never pour water inside and do not use abrasive products. Unplug the device before cleaning.
How to replace the crossfader?
Remove the crossfader knobs, then the 2 screws holding it. Carefully pull the crossfader and its plate, disconnect the connector (pull on the connector, not the cable). Connect the new crossfader, reposition it, and screw it back.
What is the Talkover function?
Talkover automatically attenuates the volume of channels 1 to 5 when you speak into the DJ mic (DJ MIC input). The attenuation level is adjusted with the Talkover knob: the more you turn it to the right, the stronger the attenuation.
How to use fader start with a CD player?
Connect a compatible CD player to the FADER CONTROL connectors on the rear. Set the FADER START switches to ON. By moving the crossfader, the CD player starts or returns to its cue point. The crossfader must be fully left for player A, fully right for player B.
How to adjust the equalizer on a channel?
Each channel has three potentiometers: treble (HIGH), mid (MID), and bass (LOW). Turn them to increase or decrease the corresponding frequency (range from +12 dB to -26 dB). Use the GAIN to set the input level before equalization.
What is PFL pre-listening and how to use it?
PFL (Pre-Fader Listening) allows you to listen to a channel before sending it to the master output. Press the CUE button on the desired channel (CH1 to CH5). The signal is audible in the headphones. You can select multiple channels for a pre-listening mix. The CUE MIX fader blends the pre-listening with the master.
How to adjust the crossfader curve?
Use the CROSS FADER CURVE potentiometer on the front panel. Turn to the left for a smooth transition (slow curve), to the right for a sharp transition (fast curve). This affects how quickly the sound switches from one channel to another.
Can I use turntables with this mixer?
Yes, the phono inputs (CH3 and CH4) accept turntables with magnetic cartridge. Use RCA cables and connect the ground wire (GND) to the provided ground terminal. Select the input source to PHONO using the source selector.
What to do if the sound is distorted or weak?
First check the GAIN setting on each channel: the VU meter should not exceed 0 dB (red zone). Make sure the MASTER level and the TRIM potentiometer (on the rear) are not too low. Avoid saturating the inputs. If the problem persists, test with other cables and sources.
