  10. The oven must not be cleaned with steel wool; small pieces of the steel wool could become detached and come into contact with electrical parts which could cause an electric shock.
  11. Take extreme care if using a container that is not made of metal or glass.
  12. Do not store any item in the oven when it is not in use apart from the accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  13. Do not store any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic or similar material.

CONTROL PANEL

This control varies the heating element settings.

Only the upper heating element is switched on.
Only the lower heating element is switched on.
Only the upper heating element and spit roaster are switched on.
Both the upper and lower heating elements are switched on.

Turn the timer to select the oven temperature. The maximum time that can be set is 1 hour. The indicator light is lit when the timer is in any position except OFF. If the timer is moved to the OFF position, cooking will stop, the indicator light will switch off and a bell will ring.

Turn the control in a clockwise direction to select the temperature. The maximum temperature that can be selected is 250^ .

HOW TO USE THE OVEN

  1. When the oven is used for the first time it may smell or give off smoke, this is normal. This is caused by the protective substance on the heating elements. It is recommended that the oven be used empty for 15 minutes the first time it is used and that you ensure that the room is well ventilated.
  2. The minimum distance between the food and the upper heating element should be 30~mm , so that the food is evenly cooked.
  3. The oven will only work when the temperature and time have been set.
  4. The oven tray can only be used when placed on the wire tray. Select the temperature and time required according to the weight of the food to be cooked.
  5. Always use the drip tray supplied.

HOW TO TOAST BREAD

  1. Turn the function control to the position, open the glass door and place the slice of bread on the wire shelf.
NOTE: remember that you have to remove the baking tray to toast bread evenly and do not forget to place the drip tray supplied in position.
  2. To set the temperature: turn the temperature control to the 250^ position.
  3. To set the time: turn the timer in a clockwise direction until it is in the position that will toast the bread to your liking. Usually this will be between 3 and 5 minutes. The longer the time set, the darker the bread will be. If you want to set the time for less than five minutes, always turn the timer control to a time greater than 5 minutes and then turn it back again to set the required time. In this way the correct time setting will be guaranteed. To stop the toasting process, you need only turn the timer control to the OFF position. When the timer reaches the OFF position a bell will ring to indicate that the bread has finished toasting, and the electric current will switch off automatically.
NOTE: if the time set for toasting is too long, the bread could catch fire. You should stay near the appliance while bread is toasting and not select too long a time.

HOW TO ROAST (FOR CHICKEN WINGS AND LEGS)

  1. Place the oven tray on the wire shelf and place the food on the tray. Always use the drip tray when roasting fatty foods such as chicken wings and legs, as it will collect any fat that falls while they are being cooked.

GB

  1. It is recommended that you always pre-heat the oven for approximately ten minutes before putting in the food.

1) Turn the temperature control in a clockwise direction to the desired temperature. For cooking food that is very thick it is generally recommended that you choose the maximum temperature, as by doing this you will achieve the best results. For roasting, use both heating elements.
2) Select the time according to the type of food and how thick it is. The heating elements will switch on and off to maintain a constant temperature. The maximum time that can be set is 60 minutes. When the timer has reached the OFF position a bell will ring and the electric current will switch off automatically.

NOTE: always keep an eye on food when it is roasting to prevent it from becoming over cooked. Turn the food over while it is cooking and season if necessary. Always use oven gloves so as not to burn yourself.

  1. When the food is well cooked remove it from the oven using the handle for removing the oven tray supplied. (Fig. 2)

ROASTING A WHOLE CHICKEN

  1. Wash the whole chicken, run the rotisserie spit through the chicken from head to tail, fix the rotisserie spit forks into the chicken, one into the breast and wing and the other into the thigh area, and attach the forks to the rotisserie spit. (Fig. 1)

NOTE: Always use the drip tray.

  1. Before roasting the chicken, preheat the oven for 10 minutes and select a temperature of 200^ C. Place the rotisserie spit in the oven using the handle designed for removing the rotisserie spit, check that the notch in the spit has been inserted properly in the drive support, and that the other end has been placed on the support.
  2. Put the function control in the position; the upper heating element will come on and the spit will rotate. When the chicken has roasted, remove it with the handle for removing the rotisserie spit. Note: When roasting a whole chicken, the chicken will not increase in size. If it did it would come into contact with the upper and lower heating elements. When the function control is in the position, do not use the oven tray as it will prevent the spit from rotating.

USING THE SKEWERS TO MAKE KEBABS

Cut the meat into small even pieces. Put a skewer through one of the holes in the left rotating disc, push the skewer through the meat, put the skewer through a hole in the right rotating disc and the repeat the previous steps until the disc is completely full. Screw the discs on the rotisserie spit, place the function control in the position and put the spit into the oven. Remove the food with the handle for removing the rotisserie spit when the meat is well cooked. (Fig. 3)

NOTE: Do not forget to place the drip tray in the bottom of the oven.

DEFROST

  1. Remember to place the oven tray on the wire shelf when defrosting food.

NOTE: Do not forget to place the drip tray in the bottom of the oven as well.

  1. Place the food on the oven tray removing all paper and plastic packaging. The temperature must be set at between 70 and 130^ C. The use of both heating elements is recommended. The oven should be preheated. The time needed to defrost food depends to a large degree on its weight, type and shape. If food is thick and heavy, the temperature selected should be higher and more time will be needed. The food should be turned. The oven temperature selected must not be too high as it could burn the food. When the food can be easily cut with a knife the defrosting process is complete. Always cook food soon after defrosting it.

BAKING (FOR CAKES, PIES, PIZZA AND BREAD)

  1. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes before placing the food in the oven. The recommended temperature is between approximately 160 - 220^ C. The temperature and time will depend on the type and thickness of the food. Place the food on the oven tray.

NOTE: Do not forget to place the drip tray in the bottom of the oven.

  1. The upper and lower heating elements switch on and off alternately to maintain a constant temperature.
  2. When baking is complete, place the timer in the OFF position.
  3. Take the food out of the oven being careful not to burn yourself.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and let it cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Clean all the accessories, including the wire tray and the oven tray, with soapy water.
  2. Submerge the accessories in water to completely clean them. Do not use abrasive cleaners, brushes or chemical cleaners as these could damage the non-stick surface of the oven tray.
  3. Use a soft damp cloth to clean the inside of the oven. Then dry it well.
  4. Clean the door with cloth dampened with detergent or soap.
  5. Never submerge the appliance in water.
  6. After cleaning, replace the wire tray in the appropriate slots inside the oven and place the oven tray on top.
  7. Never use steel wool to clean the surfaces.
  8. To empty the drip tray, remove it from the oven and clean with a damp cloth. After cleaning, push the tray into the oven to replace it in the bottom of the oven.

NOTE: Make sure that the tray has been inserted correctly before using the oven again.
