Vitroceramic hob
Our products are developed to the highest standards of quality, functioning and design. We hope you enjoy your new PALSON CERAMIC STEEL PLUS hob.
Read these instructions before using the hob and keep them for the future reference and follow them closely. Before you use your hob, check that the voltage indicated on the product is the same as in your home.
Operating instructions:
• Position the appliance in a suitable place, near an electric socket.
• Once the electrical appliance has been suitably positioned, make sure that the control is in the OFF position.
- If the hob is being used for the first time, it is possible that the invisible protecting covering has not yet removed. A little smoke is likely to be produced, but this is normal.
- Ensure that there is no extraneous material such as water or food on the ring before switching on.
Practical advise:
• Always use flat bottomed frying pans and sauce pans to make good contact with heating ring
• Always use special pans or containers and / or compatible with hob
• The hob has various temperature settings. Use the lower settings for simmering or cooking at low temperatures and higher settings for boiling or cooking food.
Because of the way that the hob is constructed, residual heat will remain after it has been switched off. This heat can be used to keep some food hot for a short period or for example, to dry rice or potatoes.
Using the appliance safety:
• The surface around the ring can get hot when the ring is functioning.
• Choose a position near an electric socket but distant from any source of water.
• The work surface must be heat resistant, dry and approximately 75cm high
• A 5cm space must be kept free around the slides of the appliance, as its sides can become hot when it is in use.
- Ensure that the electrical power cable does not come into contact with any part of the appliance. It must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not position the appliance under wall cupboards.
• Do not try to move the hob when there is saucepan on it or until the hob has cooled down completely
• Make sure that the saucepan is positioned in the centre of the ring and that is handle is in safe position to ensure this does not happen
• Once you have finished cooking, turn the temperature control to the OFF position.
• Be sure the unplug the appliance from the power socket after use
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when there are children near it.
• Do not position the appliance near material such as curtains, so as to avoid any risk of fire.
This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) whose physical, sensorial, or mental state prevents them from using it safety or who lack the necessary experience or knowledge, unless supervised or given instructions regarding its use by a personal responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his authorized technical agent or by qualified technician so as to avoid any risk.
Care and maintenance:
• Before cleaning, first ensure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged.
• Do not submerge the appliance in water.
The whole surface may be cleaned simply with a damp, soft cloth and soap.
For difficult stains we recommended the use of a cream cleaner that does not scratch the hot
Do not use coarse or abrasive products.
The steel of the bob can be cleaned using a metal clearer.
For easier cleaning, we recommend you remove food that spils onto the hob is still warm, but not when it is hot. Be careful not to burn yourself when cleaning the hob.
Do not switch on the hob while there are saucepans or frying pans on the heating ring to avoid damaging the appliance. Thank you for putting your trust in one of our products.
