Installing the induction hotplate
- Place the hotplate on a stable and level surface.

- Never use the hotplate on the surface of any other electrical device, such as for example an electric oven, a ceramic oven, etc.
- Never use the hotplate on a metal surface that is very thin and buckles easily.
- Do not block the ventilation slots of the induction hotplate. This may overheat it. Keep a minimum distance of 5 to 10 cm from walls and other objects.
- Do not place the induction hotplate near to devices or objects that are sensitive to magnetic fields (e.g., radios, TVs, cassette recorders, etc.).

GB
- Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with sharp edges and/or hot surfaces.
Handling the induction hotplate
- Prior to connecting the induction hotplate, check whether the voltage indicated on the plate corresponds to the voltage supply in your home. An incorrect connection may lead to serious damage to the induction hotplate and injury to persons.
- The hotplate's surface is made of temperature-resistant Black Glass. If any damage to the unit is observed, disconnect the induction hotplate from the power supply immediately and contact the authorised technical service.
- We recommend not placing metal kitchen utensils, saucepan lids or frying pans, knives and other metal objects on top of the hotplate. They may heat up when the hotplate is turned on.
- Do not place any magnetised objects like credit cards, cassettes, etc. on the Black Glass surface while the induction hotplate is in operation.
- To avoid overheating, do not place any aluminium foil or metal plates on the induction hotplate.
- Do not insert any objects like wires or tools into the ventilation slots. Attention: this may cause electric shock.
- Do not touch the hot Black Glass surface. Bear in mind that the induction plate does not heat up during cooking, but the temperature of the kitchen utensils heat the hotplate up!
- Do not heat up any unopened tin cans on the induction hotplate. A heated tin can could explode, and that is why the lid always has to be taken off.
- Scientific tests have proven that induction hotplates do not pose any risks. However, persons with a pacemaker should keep a distance of at least two feet from the induction hotplate while it is operating.
