USER MANUAL AC 14 EIT ALPATEC

CAUTION

When using electrical appliances, some rules have to be respected. READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CARREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT.

• Take care to install this product by complying with the national rules of electric installation. Make sure that the voltage on the rating plate is same as your main one before plugging. Always connect to earth ground.
• This product contains R 410A gas whose handling is regulated by the decree n° 2007-737 of May 7th 2007. Any operation in relation with refrigerant has to be done by a qualified technician.
• Place the appliance on a dry and level surface, with enough room, without obstacle. Clearance of 50~cm between product and wall is needed.
• Always place the appliance in a vertical position, in order to maintain the compressor in good working conditions.
• Never let the appliance in a room with children and handicapped people without supervising.
• Do not use outdoor, in a wet environment, close to a bath-tub, a shower or a swimming pool.
• Do not immerse appliance or power cord
• This product is provided with its own power cord. Do not use any other electrical connection but the one supplied and recommended by the manufacturer. This could be dangerous and may damage the appliance.
• Do not use if power cord or appliance is damaged
• Only use this appliance for domestic purpose, following the instructions of that manual.
• Never move or unplug by pulling the power cord.
• Unplug before cleaning or replacement of one part.
• Do not use without filter.
• In order to avoid any electrical interference, keep away from electric sources.
• Never use near a hot place.
• Do not use if it is not totally assembled and particularly if the protection grid is not secured, or the exhaust pipe is not assembled.
• Do not introduce parts through the grid.
• Do not put anything on the appliance. Do not block air inlet and outlet.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Otherwise, guarantee would cancel. It has to be repaired by a qualified worker. Power cord has to be changed by a qualified person if needed.

INSTALLATION

Active carbon filter.

1. Remove the filter holder.
2. Remove the anti dust filter from its holder.
3. Adjust the active carbon filter size.
4. Put the active carbon filter inthe filter holder.
5. Replace the anti dust filter.
6. Put the whole back in the air conditioner.

EXHAUST PIPE.

Assemble the exhaust pipe 10 at the rear of the product. For that, extend one extremity of the pipe and put it in the air outlet 8. Screw the pipe till it is strongly fixed.

1. USING A SLIDING WINDOW

Use accessories 11 and 12 provided with the product.

2. THROUGH A WALL.

• Make a hole in the wall 43~cm height from the ground (center - ground) with a diameter 151~mm in order to fixe accessory 12.
• Insert the extremity of the exhaust pipe.

When the product is not working, take out the exhaust pipe and close the hole using cap 13.

3. TEMPORARY INSTALLATION.

• Open a window or a door and put the extremity of the exhaust pipe through it.

Note: only use the provided exhaust pipe. Do not use another one or prolong it.
- It can be up to 1 m 50 long. The shorter it is, the more efficiency the unit will be.
- The pipe must not be damaged or bent..
- Avoid slopes.

MOISTURE REMOVAL.

• Your product is including the shower technology.
• However, when the humidity is very high, it may not be sufficient. Additional moistures are going in an inner tank. When this tank is full, compressor and fan stop working and tank full indicator lights on.

• Stop the product.

• Put a tank under the drainage knob (9).

• Remove the drainage knob and the joint behind to let the water flow out. When the tank is empty, replace the joint and the drainage knob.
• You can restart the product.

Note: drainage pipe (16) or any other pipe Ø18mm may be used for this operation.

• Your product can be ran either with the remote control or with the control panel.
• When you use the remote control, the picto of the different functions light on the screen.

STARTING:

• Plug the product. Open the louvers (2).
• Press touch M/A (A). The products start with the last used parameters (mode, temperature and fan speed).
• Ambient temperature is dysplayed on the product screen.

MODE:

Use touch MODE (B) to change from one mode to another.

Each pressure modify the mode as follow:

Auto Cooling Fan

AUTO MODE:

• Temperature cannot be adjusted.
• If ambient temperature is below 23^ , the product will fan only.
• If ambient temperature is upper than 23^ , the product will switch to cooling mode.

COOLING MODE:

• If the ambient temperature is more than the desired one, the product will cool.
• If not, it will fan.

FAN ONLY MODE:

• Temperature cannot be adjusted.
• The fan is on with the selected air flow.

SET THE TEMPERATURE :

• Use touch (G) to increase or lower the desired temperature. Each pressure adds or remove 1^ .
• The selected temperature is displayed on the screen. Once the selection has been done, the ambient temperature is displayed again.
• Temperature range is from 18^ to 32^ .

SET THE FAN SPEED:

• Use touch (C) to adjust the air flow.
• Each pressure changes the air flow as follow:

Slow -> Medium -> High

NIGHT FUNCTION:

• Only available with cooling mode.
• Press touch (E).
• Desired temperature will increase from 1^ each hour for two hours.
• Fan speed turns to slow air flow.
• After 12h the product automatically stops. To cancel the function before 12 hours, press (E) again.

IONIZER:

• To start or stop the ionizer press touch ION (F).
• lionization
• The negative ions are essential to the life. They help the oxygen goes from lungs to blood.
• A lack of negative ions can cause a feeling of discomfort.
• Ionize produces negative ions which restore balance with the positive ions (associate with pollution).
• Scientific work showed the benefit of ionization on the treatment of allergic asthma and chronic bronchitides.

STOP:

• Press touch M/A (A). Product stops.
• Wait at least 3 minutes before starting again.

TIMER:

• To set a « timer on », when the product is stopped press touch (D) until the desired time is displayed on the screen (from 1 to 24 hours).
• To set a « timer off », when the product is running press touch (D) until the desired time is displayed on the screen (from 1 to 24 hours).
• Press touch (D) until 0 is displayed to cancel the timer.

AIR FLOW DIRECTION:

• You can adjust the air flow direction by moving the louvers (2).

CLEANING

• Before any cleaning operation, stop and unplug the unit.
• Do not use chemical solvent.

• Use a dry and wet cloth to clean the outside of the unit.

• For the anti dust filter, remove it as shown page P (activ carbon filter) and clean it with a vaccum cleaner or water (less than 40^ ) and dry it.

• Put the filter back. Never start the product without filter.

• End of season storage: clean the filter, and run the product in fan only mode for a few hours.

• Stop and unplug the product.
• Store the power cord in its storage and cover the product for storage.

TROUBLE SHOUTING

Before asking for repair service, please check the following:

Unit does not work	Is-it plugged? Is there a power failure? Water tank is full? Ambient temperature is lower than the desired one?
The product is doing little	Is there direct sunshine? (put down the curtains) Doors and windows are closed? Room is too large? Is there something producing heat?
The product is doing nothing.	Filter is clean? Air inlet are bloked? Ambient temperature is lower than the desired one?
Product is too noisy.	Is the product on an uneven floor?
Compressor does not start.	Ambient temperature is lower than the desired one? Over heat protection is on. Wait for the temperature to drop.
