Frequently Asked Questions - CHC 300D PUR LINE

How to use the thermostat to set the temperature?
To set the temperature, first turn the thermostat to maximum (+) to heat the room. When the desired temperature is reached, gradually turn the thermostat towards minimum (-) until the unit stops. It will then automatically maintain that temperature by turning on and off.
What to do if the unit suddenly stops during operation?
This is likely due to overheating. Turn off the unit (position 0), unplug it and wait 5 to 10 minutes for it to cool down. Plug it back in and restart it. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Can I use the unit as a simple fan without heating?
Yes, set the switch to the fan position (ventilation only). The heating will not activate and the unit will work as a fan.
How to clean the unit?
Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Use the vacuum cleaner brush on the rear grille to remove dust. For the housing, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents and never immerse the unit.
The unit emits a strange odor during first use, is this normal?
Yes, it's normal. A slight odor may be emitted during first use. It disappears quickly after a few minutes of operation.
What safety distance should be maintained around the unit?
To avoid fire risk, keep a distance of at least 90 cm in front of the unit and at least 30 cm behind and on sides from combustible materials (furniture, curtains, bedding, etc.).
Can I use an extension cord with this heater?
It is not recommended to use an extension cord. If unavoidable, use an extension cord with a minimum cross-section of 1.0 mm² per conductor, with a rated power of at least 1890 watts, and do not plug other devices into the same extension cord.
The unit has fallen, what should I do?
The unit is equipped with a tip-over safety feature: it stops automatically. Unplug it, place it on a stable, hard surface, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No, the unit is not designed for outdoor use or in damp rooms like a bathroom. It could fall into water or be exposed to moisture, posing a risk of electrocution.
What is the warranty period and how to activate it?
The warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase for any manufacturing defect. To activate it, return or ship the device to your dealer with postage paid, along with the proof of purchase (invoice) indicating the date.
