1) Work area safety
a) Keep the work area clean and well illuminated.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive environments, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks that may light dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can make you lose control of the tool.
2) Electrical safety
a) The power tools plugs must match the socket. Never modify the plug. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed power tools. The unmodified plugs and the suitable sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigerators. There is a higher risk of electric shock if your body is in touch with grounded surfaces.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. The water inlet in a power tool increases the risk of electric shock.

3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert and use common sense when using a power tool. Do not use power tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Lack of attention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety footwear, helmet or hearing protection, used under appropriate conditions, will reduce personal injuries.
c) Avoid unintentional start-up. Make sure the switch is in the off position before connecting the tool to a power source and/or battery, or before picking it up or transporting it. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools with the switch in the on position may cause accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not exert too much force when using the tool. Keep your feet firmly on the ground and maintain your balance at all times. This will provide better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Wear appropriate clothes. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can get caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Dust vacuuming can reduce dust-related hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools

allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause serious injury within a fraction of a second.

4) Power tool use and maintenance
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories or storing it. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of the power tool starting up accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools and batteries out of the reach of children and do not allow people unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate it. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintenance of power tools and accessories. Check if the moving parts are misaligned or stuck, if there are broken pieces or any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Cutting tools properly maintained and with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to handle.
g) Use the electric tool, accessories and drill bits, etc. according to these instructions, taking into account work conditions and the work to be carried out. Use of the power

tool for operations other than those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

h) Keep handles and gripping surfaces dry, clean and free of oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.

5) Battery use and maintenance
a) Only recharge with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger suitable for one type of battery may create a fire hazard if used with another type of battery.
b) Use the power tool only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other type of battery may create a risk of injury and fire.
c) When the battery is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, which can establish a connection from one terminal to another. A short circuit between the battery terminals can cause burns or fire.
d) Under harsh conditions, liquid may leak from the battery; avoid touching it. In case of accidental contact, rinse the affected part with water. If the liquid comes into contact with eyes, seek medical assistance immediately. Liquid leaking from the battery may cause skin irritation or burns.
e) Do not use a damaged or modified battery or tool. Damaged or modified batteries can show unpredictable behaviours leading to fire, explosion or risk of injury.
f) Do not expose a battery or tool to fire or excessive temperatures. Exposition to fire and high temperatures over 130\ °C could cause an explosion.
g) Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery or the tool outside the temperature range specified

in the instructions. Improper charging or charging at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.

6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified technician using only identical replacement parts. This ensures that the power tool remains safe.
b) Never repair damaged batteries. Battery maintenance must only be carried out by the manufacturer or authorised technician.

7) Charging safety

• Children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge can use the charger if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the power tool in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the power tool or the power cable.
• Cleaning and maintenance tasks must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• The power cable of this charger is not replaceable. Discard the charger if the power cable is damaged.

8) Use and handling of the charger

• Connect the charger only if the voltage of the socket matches the information on the rating plate.

• Connect the charger only to an easily accessible socket so that you can quickly disconnect it from the mains in the event of a malfunction.

• Always allow sufficient ventilation when charging the battery; gases may be released.

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Keep the charger away from humidity.
• Never use the charger in environments where explosive or flammable materials are present. There is a risk of fire and explosion.
• Do not place objects on top of the charger and do not cover it.
• Keep the charger away from heat sources.
• Regularly check the charger for damage.
• Repair damaged chargers properly before reusing them.
• The charger must not be disassembled. Repairs should only be carried out by an authorised technician.
• Do not use the charger if it has been subjected to shocks or falls.
• Always unplug the charger from the power supply after use.
• Unplug the charger from the power supply before cleaning, servicing, storing and transporting, and allow it to cool completely.

9) General precautions

• Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the tool may come into contact with exposed wiring. The tool must not come into contact with live wires. This may result in electric shock.
• Keep the power tool and its accessories away from hot surfaces.
• Do not allow untrained people use the power tool and its accessories.
• People with physical or mental disabilities must not use power tools or accessories without supervision.

• Children must not play with, clean or try to repair the power tool and its accessories.

• Allow the tool to cool down completely after use before touching it.

• Always wait until all moving parts have stopped after working with the tool.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

Electrical voltage warning

Electric shock due to inadequate or insufficient insulation. Check, before using it, that the tool and its accessories are not damaged and work properly. If you detect any

damage do not switch it on. Do not use it if the tool or your hands are wet!

- Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if technical assistance is required.

3. OPERATION

3.1 Battery charging

Caution

During the charging process the handle may heat up, this is normal.

If the battery charges improperly, it could get damaged. Do not ever charge the battery in a room temperature below 10\ °C or over 40\ °C .

The battery should be fully charged before using the tool for the first time and

whenever the charge level is low. The red light in the battery level indicator light warns of a low battery level.

Do not use the tool while the battery is charging.

A new battery will develop its full ampere-hour capacity after 5 complete charge/discharge cycles.

Battery charging:

• Insert the cable plug into the charging socket (11). Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter, the LEDs (3) will light up.
• After charging, when all LEDs (3) are illuminated, disconnect the cable from the power supply and the charging socket (11).

Electrical voltage warning

Do not ever touch the plug with your hands wet.

3.2 Setting the working direction

Use the direction selector (6) to set the rotation direction clockwise or counterclockwise, or place it in the centre to lock the tool.

Note

Do not change the direction (6) while the shaft is rotating, first place the direction selector in the center position until it stops.

3.3 Bits assembling / substitution

• The screwdriver comes with a bit holder (1).
• Place the direction selector (6) in the centre (locked tool). Pull the clamping sleeve of the bit holder (1), overcoming the resistance of the spring.
• Place a bit in the bit holder. Check the bit assembling.
• To remove the bit, pull the clamping sleeve (1), overcoming the resistance of the spring and remove the bit from the bit holder (1).

Note

Do not substitute bits without placing the direction knob (6) in the centre position (blocked).

3.4 Switching on/off the screwdriver

• It is recommended to use personal protective equipment during the screwdriver use.
• Make sure the battery is fully charged and the direction selector (6) is in the center position.
• Insert the tip you wish to use.
• Press and hold the on/off button (5) to operate the screwdriver.
• To turn off the tool, release the on/off button (5). The tool should be allowed to cool down (if necessary) before storage.

3.5 Torque setting

• When turning the torque knob (2), the gear ratio (torque) is adjusted.
• The recommended torque depends on the type of bit and material used. The higher the setting number, the higher the torque. Start with a lower torque value.

The tool can be used as a soft drilling machine in wood or MDF boards if the torque knob (2)

is set to this symbol

3.6 Adjusting the rotary handle

To set the twist grip (7):

1. Turn the direction selector (6) to the centre position (blocked).
2. Press the rotary handle lock (4).
3. Turn the rotary handle to the desired position until it locks.

3.7 Battery charge indicator Fig. 2

The screwdriver has a battery level indicator (3). The three LEDs, each of a different colour, indicate the battery charge level. To check the level:

• Turn the direction selector (6) clockwise or counterclockwise.
• Press the power button. The LEDs will light up, indicating the charge level:
• Fully charged battery: three lights on.
• Low battery: two lights on.
• Uncharged battery: one light on.

3.8 LED worklight

When pressing the on/off button (5), the LED front worklight (8) will turn on.

3.9 Turning on the flashlight

This screwdriver is equipped with a flashlight (9). If the workplace lighting is low, turn on the flashlight to better light up the workplace.

To turn on and off the flashlight, press the on/off button placed in the central part of the LED diodes protector.

Note

When you are finished using the flashlight, be sure to turn it off.

3.10 Recommendations for use

• Always select the correct screwdriver tip for the screw you are using. To avoid damaging the screw, use the largest possible bit size to fit the screw head.
• Drill bits are not included in the kit. Use only hexagonal drill bits.
• The drilling function is only suitable to soft drill in wood and MDF boards.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Maintenance

• Storing fully discharged lithium-ion batteries can lead to total discharge and thus to battery rupture.
• When the tool is not in use, it should be stored according to the following instructions:
• The room temperature must be lower than 40 °C.
• It must be dry, moisture-free and protected from cold and heat.
• You must store it in a place protected from dust and direct sunlight.

Pre-maintenance works

Only the official Cecotec Technical Support Service or specialized or authorised companies can carry out maintenance jobs and repairs that involve opening the casing.

Make sure the tool is disconnected from the mains power supply before carrying out any cleaning and/or maintenance.

Inside the appliance there are not any pieces the user must maintain or lubricate.

Note

It is not necessary to lubricate it after the clean-up.

Liquids entering the casing may cause short circuits! Do not immerse the tool in water or any other liquid. Make sure any type of liquid does not enter the casing.

• To clean the external parts of the tool, use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, which may be slightly dampened. Make sure moisture does not enter the casing or come into contact with any electric component.
• Do not use detergents, aggressive cleaning agents or solvents, like cleaning sprays, paint thinners, detergents containing alcohol or abrasive cleaners to moisten the cloth.
• To dry the tool, use a soft, clean, lint-free and completely dry cloth.
• Carefully clean the connection contacts.
• Protective devices, ventilation openings and the motor casing must always be kept free of dust and other contamination.

5. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

Warning

To avoid damaging the tool, it must be transported and stored properly, according to the instructions in this manual.

Transport

Follow at all times the following transport instructions:

• Make sure that the tool is not connected to the power socket.
• Allow the tool to cool down completely.
• To transport lithium ion batteries you must take into account the provisions for the transport of dangerous goods.

Storage

• Make sure that the tool is not connected to the power socket.
• Allow the tool to cool down completely.
• Clean the tool as described in the "Cleaning" section.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

• Repair work involving tampering with or opening the housing may only be carried out by Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service or a company authorised by Cecotec.
• If an incident occurs, perform the following checks:

The first time you start the machine there is smoke and a slight smell:

It is not a fault. Shortly after we start the appliance, both the smoke and the smell will disappear.

The battery does not charge:

• Check that there is power at the base of the socket.
• You must check both the cord and the power plug are not damaged.
• You must check the power supply (fuses, thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, RCDs, etc.).
• You must check the USB cord is not damaged. If you notice any damage, stop using it. Contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.
• You must check there is no dirt in the USB cord connections. If there is, clean the dirt.
• The battery may be defective or suffer any damage. Contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.

The device does not work:

• The battery level may be too low. Charge the battery.
• The USB cord connectors can be dirty. Clean them.
• The USB cord is not connected. Check the connections.

Information

Wait for at least 10 minutes before you restart the device.

Unusual noise

Torque value exceeded (protection against tool overload or damage to the bolt/bolt head).

Screw and unscrew the bolt/bolt head with a manual screwdriver.

Note

After each maintenance and repair work, wait at least 3 minutes to restart the tool.

If the tool does not work properly, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.

7. RECYCLING OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

This symbol indicates that, according to the applicable regulations, the product and/or batteries must be disposed of separately from household waste. When this product reaches the end of its service life, you must remove the batteries/accumulators and take it to a collection point designated by local authorities.

For detailed information on how to properly dispose of electrical and electronic equipment and/or the corresponding batteries, consumers should

contact their local authorities.
