B - Commissioning

The appliance must be unplugged from the mains
- Once the appliance is assembled, it may be connected to the mains.
Place the fruits (see "preparation advice") in the opening of the plastic cover and set a speed (1 for soft fruits or 2 for hard fruits, see chart on page 56).
Press lightly and uniformly with the pusher. It is recommended that you push slowly to extract maximum juice.
Put the appliance back in position "0" as soon as the juice is over.
It is recommended to empty the pulp collector pan regularly. To do this, place the appliance in position "0" and remove the pan carefully.
IMPORTANT: do not let the pulp collector pan overflow as this may damage your appliance.

CAUTION, when the appliance is operating:

  • Never open the plastic cover
  • Never put your hand or any accessory other than the pusher in the feed tube.
  • Never operate the juicer for more than 60 seconds continuously when using speed 2 and when the pressure on the pusher is too large.

C - Maintenance:

Before cleaning your appliance, check that it is properly unplugged.
Before folding the safety bar, remove the pulp collector pan by tilting it slightly.

Removable parts:

Once your appliance has been dismantled, immediately rinse all removable parts in order to prevent pulp from drying up.
Use only hot soapy water. Never use abrasive products.
Clean the filter with a brush for dishes. Make sure that all micro-perforations are properly unblocked as this could otherwise reduce the efficiency of your appliance. If, however, you find it difficult to unblock all the microperforations, let the filter soak for 10 minutes in hot soapy water. Examine the rotary filter, if it is damaged, do not use the appliance any more.
Food can lightly stain the plastic cover of your appliance. To remove this staining, you can dip the cover in hot water mixed with a little lemon juice.
Dry all parts properly after cleaning.
IMPORTANT: never put the filter or the pusher in the dishwasher.

Motor unit:

Clean the motor unit using a damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: never dip the motor unit in water

ADVICE FOR FRUIT PREPARATION:

You can put whole fruits into your juicer. If, however, certain fruits do not enter the feed tube, cut them up into large pieces.
If you are using fruits with hard or inedible skin (citrus fruits, mangoes, melon, pineapple, etc.), always peel them before putting them in the juicer.
Wash the fruits before putting them in the juicer.
Make sure that the stones are removed from fruits so that your appliance does not get damaged.
To minimise browning of apple juice, you could add a bit of lemon juice.
When making a preparation requiring several fruits and vegetables of different consistency, it is recommended that you start with food with soft texture (slow speed).
The quantity of juice obtained depends on each fruit and vegetable. To obtain a sufficient quantity of juice, it is therefore recommended to vary the fruits and vegetables (for example, add juice of apples, which give a lot of juice with juice of strawberries, which do not give much juice)

Use speed 1 for soft fruits and speed 2 for hard fruits.

Put the plastic cover and the "cap" in place by rotating it until it is locked.

B - Commissioning:

Precautions before use:

Make sure that the appliance is unplugged from the mains and is in the "0" position
Keep your hands and any utensils outside the blender when it is placed on the motor unit.
Let hot liquids cool before mixing them: there is a risk of spattering if the cover is not fixed properly and dislodges. MIXING OF VERY HOT LIQUIDS CAN CAUSE SUDDEN OVERFLOW OF THE HOT LIQUID OR HOT STEAM FROM THE COVER.
When removing the blender from the motor unit: CAUTION wait till the blades have stopped completely and unplug the appliance from the mains, do not accidentally unscrew the pitcher or the jar from the blade-holder unit
In order not to damage your appliance, do not let it operate continuously for more than 60 seconds. Do not let it operate empty.

Starting:

Remove the filler cap and put the ingredients in the bowl.
IMPORTANT: never operate the blender when empty

Advice: if you are making fruit based preparations with yoghurt or milk, put the fruits first.

If you are using frozen ingredients, never put them in the blender without having first broken the ice blocks formed by freezing.

Put back the cap by rotating it until it is locked

IMPORTANT: never operate the blender without the cover to prevent the risk of spattering.

Start by operating the blender in pulse mode using the "pulse" button
When the mixing has begun, set the maximum speed and let it operate for a few moments.
If the mixture is not sufficiently smooth, repeat the operation.
In case of difficulty in mixing (particularly for thick mixtures) add a little liquid.
As soon as the mixture is ready, unplug the appliance and wait till the blades stop completely.

Crushed ice:

Put the ice cubes in the blender bowl.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the cover and the cap are put back properly (see assembly) in order to avoid spatters.
Operate the pulse function until all ice cubes are reduced to small pieces.
Unplug the device from the mains and pour out the crushed ice into a salad bowl

Maintenance

Caution: make sure that the appliance has been properly unplugged and that the blades have stopped completely

Remove the blender bowl from the motor unit. Fill the glass bowl with hot water and dishwashing product and let it soak for about 15 minutes.
Recommendation for good cleaning: fill half the bowl with hot soapy water. Put it back in place, reconnect the appliance, and operate the appliance (speed 1) for a few seconds.
Wait till the blades stop completely and unplug the appliance before removing the bowl once again.
Scrub the bowl and the blades only with a brush for dishes.

CAUTION: Never put your hands in the bowl and do not touch the cutting blades.

The removable elements (cover and filler cap) can be put in the dishwasher at the low temperature ≤ 40^ programme without drying.
Clean the motor unit using a damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: never dip the motor unit in water.

Speed selection:

Use speed 1 for light mixtures such as milk-shakes, milk mousse, light paste, etc.
Use speed 2 for thicker mixtures (thick pastes, sauce, mayonnaise, yoghurt drinks, fresh fruits, etc.)
Use the pulse function to control the texture of the preparation (the motor rotates as long as you press the button then stops as soon as you release it).
