How to use the HTD 2861 hair dryer?

Fully unwind the cable, plug the appliance into a 230 V outlet. Install the desired attachment (concentrator or diffuser). Use the button positions: 0 = off, 1 = medium power and temperature, 2 = high power and temperature. After use, set the button to 0 and unplug.

Can I use this hair dryer in a bathroom?

Yes, but with caution. Keep the appliance away from water (bathtub, shower). Always unplug it after use, even if turned off, because proximity to water presents a risk of electric shock. It is recommended to install a 30 mA residual current device (RCD) in the bathroom circuit.

How to convert the voltage from 115 V to 230 V?

There is a voltage switch under the handle. Make sure it is set to your mains voltage (230 V in Europe). If you need to switch from 115 V to 230 V, operate the switch accordingly before plugging in the appliance.

What to do if the hair dryer overheats?

The appliance is equipped with overheat protection. If it activates, the appliance stops automatically. Unplug it, let it cool down and check that the air inlet is not blocked. Clean the suction grille with a fine brush if necessary.

How to clean the hair dryer?

Regularly clean the air intake opening with a fine brush to prevent dust accumulation. For the appliance body, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any cleaning products and never immerse the appliance in water.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).
• To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances, make sure that the cable is hanging low and that children do not have access to the appliance.

Special safety instructions for this device

• Keep the device away from water and moisture such as, for example, bath tubs, shower areas or even persons taking a bath! Such situations constitute a DANGER TO LIFE! through electric shock.
• If the hair dryer is used in the bathroom, remove the mains plug after use as water represents a hazard. This also applies when the hair dryer is switched off.
• ATTENTION: The nozzles become hot during operation.
• Do not put objects, hair or your hands in front of the air intake opening! The device can suffer damage despite the overheating protection if the airflow is blocked!
• As additional protection we recommend the installation of a fault current protection device (RCD) with a rated current of not more than 30mA in the wiring system of the bathroom. Please contact an authorised electrician for advice.

Commissioning

1. Fully unwind the mains cable.
2. Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and the mains voltage match. The voltage can be changed from 115V to 230V by means of the voltage switch on the bottom of the handle.
3. Fit on a nozzle. You can dry single hair locks by concentrating the flow of hot air with the hairdressing nozzle. The diffuser is the ideal solution to dry curly hair without losing volume.
4. Insert the plug into a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact socket.
5. Shift the switch on the handle to one of the desired heat/blowing levels:

Level 0: off

Level 1: medium airflow and medium temperature

Level 2: strong airflow and high temperature

1. After use shift the switch to position "0" and pull out the plug. Leave the device to cool before putting it away!

Cleaning and care

• Clean the air suction opening from time to time with a fine brush.
  Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives.

This device has been tested according to all relevant current CE guidelines, such as electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage directives, and has been constructed in accordance with the latest safety regulations.

The device supplied by our Company is covered by a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).

During the life of the guarantee any fault of the device or its accessories *) ascribable to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated free of charge by repairing or, at our discretion, by replacing it. The guarantee services do not entail an extension of the life of the guarantee nor do they give rise to any right to a new guarantee!

Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out.

If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.

Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing (e.g. motor pistons, kneading blades, drive shafts, spare remote control, spare toothbrushes, saw blades, etc.) as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!

The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.

After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.
