General safety instructions
• Before commissioning this device please read the instruction manual carefully.
• Please keep these instructions, the guaranty certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging! • The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use! • Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the device is not in use, when attaching accessory parts, cleaning the device or whenever a disturbance occurs. Switch off the device beforehand. Pull on the plug, not on the cable. • In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, never leave them unsupervised with the device. Consequently, when selecting the location for your device, do so in such a way that children do not have access to the device. Take care to ensure that the cable does not hang down. • Test the device and the cable regularly for damage. If there is damage of any kind, the device should not be used. • Do not repair the device yourself, but rather consult an authorised expert. • For safety reasons a broken or damaged mains lead may only be replaced by an equivalent lead from the manufacturer, our customer service department or a similary qualified person. • Keep the device and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges and suchlike. • Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this is only for a moment. • Use only original accessories. • Do not use the device outdoors. • Under no circumstances must the device be placed in water or other liquid, or come into contact with such. Do not use the device with wet or moist hands. • Should the device become moist or wet, remove the mains plug from the socket immediately. Do not reach into the water. • Use the device only for the intended purpose.
Special safety notes
Never vacuum up anything that is damp, nor any liquids!
Never vacuum up hot ashes, nor pointed or sharp objects. Do not use the unit in damp areas. Never do any vacuuming without the filter. Always check that the filter has been correctly seated after inserting a new one.

GB Push the vacuum hose into the opening of the dustbag compartment until it clicks in mechanically. In order to remove the hose again, press the two clamps inwards while pulling at the same time.
Put the suction tube or other accessory onto the handle
1. Install the accessory. Adjust the telescopic tube as necessary. 2. Unwind the necessary amount of cable, put the mains plug into a 230 V, 50 Hz mains socket and switch the unit on. 3. Set the vacuum strength with the suction strength controller. 4. Start vacuuming at a constant speed. It is not necessary to press. Check that you have not come to the end of the cable. Suction control (click-stop settings): Low suction strength: for curtains and delicate materials Medium suction strength: for deep-file velvet carpets and delicate carpeting High suction strength: for ordinary carpets and floors. Telescopic vacuum tube: This allows the unit to be matched to your size. Adjust it by pressing the knob on the tube and pulling the two tubes apart. Accessory compartment: Pull the edge of the lid over the suction tube connection upwards and fold the lid up. The brush and crevice nozzles are located here. The brush nozzle can also be used without the brush as a nozzle for large surfaces. In order to assemble the brush insert the long edge into the plug-in tube and press on the other end of the brush until a click is heard. Winding device for the power cable: Unwinding: Pull out the length that you require. The maximum length is shown by a marking on the cable. Do not pull any further! The winding device could be damaged otherwise. Winding in: Hold the cable firmly to prevent it from whipping around. Press the button for cable winding and guide the cable in.

Narrow nozzle: for vacuuming in corners and grooves, for example Brush nozzle: for soft materials such as upholstery, car seats, curtains Floor nozzle: to clean carpets or flat surfaces The nozzle can be set for the relevant type of operation. Carpet: press down with your foot on the lever with the symbol for rough surfaces. Smooth floor: press down the other lever. The levers change over. Undoing the units: pull them apart while twisting slightly. Dustbag indicator: Hold the suction hose into the air so that it is not vacuuming anything. The bag is full if the display shows "Red". Change the dustbag in that case. Changing the dustbag: Pull out the mains plug. Open the dust bag compartment by pulling up the lid above the carrying handle. Then pull the bag out. As the bag is locked in place it is necessary to use a little force to remove it. Push a new bag in. Close the cover again so that it clicks into place. Air outlet filter: Replace the filter at the air outlet after the 10th time that the dustbag has been changed. Fold up the black lid, remove the filter and insert a new one. Press the lid until it locks in place.
Always pull out the mains plug before doing any cleaning!
Clean the casing with a dry cloth. Replace the filter protecting the motor after the 10th time that the dustbag has been changed This filter can be found behind the dustbag.
Roll up the cable completely.
Place the unit vertically and push the hook of the vacuum tube into the back.
