How to install the Cecotec Energysilence 1500 Cyclone Chantal ceiling fan?

Installation requires fixing the mounting plate to the ceiling with appropriate anchors, then hanging the motor and connecting the electrical wires (phase, neutral, ground). It is recommended to call a qualified electrician. See the manual for detailed diagrams.

How to use the summer/winter reverse switch?

The switch is located on the side of the motor or on the remote control. In summer, the blades rotate counterclockwise to create a cool breeze. In winter, turn the switch so the blades rotate clockwise to redistribute warm air from the ceiling down.

The remote control does not work, what to do?

First check the remote control batteries. If the problem persists, make sure the receiver is properly connected and there is no interference. Reset the remote control by cutting power to the fan for 10 seconds.

The fan makes an abnormal noise, is this normal?

A slight hum is normal. If the noise is loud or squeaking, check that all screws are tight and the blades are balanced. An imbalance can be corrected using the included balancing kit.

How to clean the ceiling fan?

Use a soft, dry cloth or slightly damp to dust the blades and motor. Never use chemical or abrasive products, and avoid wetting electrical parts.

What is the motor power and energy consumption?

The motor has a power of 75 W. Consumption depends on the selected speed, but it remains very low (about 0.075 kWh at full speed). This represents a cost of about €0.02 per hour of use.

Can I use a dimmer switch with the integrated light?

The integrated light is compatible with a standard dimmer, but make sure the dimmer is designed for LED bulbs. The fan itself should not be connected to a dimmer, as this could damage the motor.

What are the exact dimensions of the fan?

The blade diameter is 150 cm. The height of the fan (from ceiling to bottom of the bulb) is about 35 cm, including the 20 cm suspension rod. The weight is 7.2 kg.

What to do if the fan wobbles abnormally?

Excessive wobbling may be due to blade imbalance. Use the provided balancing kit (adhesive clips) to adjust each blade. Also check that the blades are securely attached and the ceiling mount is solid.

2. Before use

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

3. Installation

Remove the fan from its packaging. Store the packaging materials in a safe place. Check that the parts included in the box correspond to those listed in this manual.

Then, proceed to assembly it. (Fig. 2)

1. Remove the connecting nut from the bottom of the support pole.
2. Insert the pole into the hole in the base.
3. Tighten the nut to secure the pole to the base.
4. Install the upper pole section onto the lower section.
5. Install the main unit by rotating it into the upper pole section.

Oscillation

Press briefly to turn left-to-right movement on or off; press and hold for 3 seconds to turn up-and-down movement on or off. The remote control has separate buttons for these functions.

Speed settings

The default speed is "F1" when the fan is switched on. The speed increases by one level with each press up to level 8, then returns to speed 1 with an additional press. Press and hold this button for 3 seconds to turn on the ambient light and press and hold it again for 3 seconds to turn it off. There are separate buttons on the remote control.

Timer

The timer increases by 1 hour with each press up to 12 hours, displaying from "0H", "1H"... to "12" in a cycle. To cancel, set the timer to 0H.

Display

The display shows the fan speed and timer settings. It shows "—" when the fan is switched on.

The display turns off if no operation is performed for 3 minutes and reactivates when any button is pressed.

Aroma function (Fig. 5)

Scent can be added to the logo/aroma panel following these instructions:

1. Turn the aroma holder cover in the centre anticlockwise to remove it.
2. Add a few drops of aromatic essence to the aroma pad.
3. Replace it in the centre of the fan head by turning clockwise.

5. Cleaning and maintenance

• Disconnect the fan from the mains supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
  ● Never immerse the fan in water or other liquids.
  ● Clean the fan with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use chemical cleaning products such as detergents or abrasive cleaners.
• Do not allow condensation to come into contact with the electrical parts of the fan.
• Do not use a damp cloth to clean the motor. Keep the fan clean and dry.
• It is recommended to use a neutral detergent and soft cloth. Do not use solvent liquids, acidic detergents, petrol, alcohol, etc. to clean plastic parts, as they may cause deterioration.
• Do not allow water to enter the motor unit or cable during cleaning of the fan.
  ● Clean the product at the end of the season before storage.
