How to load paper in tray 1 (MPT)?

Open tray 1 by pushing the handle down and pulling. Slide the opening until it locks. Adjust the guides to the media size, place media face up, top of page first. Close the tray. The control panel may prompt you to confirm the type and size.

How to print automatic duplex?

Make sure the duplex unit is installed (standard on Phaser 3500DN, optional on others). In the print driver, select the Layout or Page Setup tab, then choose Print on Both Sides with the desired binding orientation (long edge or short edge).

What to do in case of a paper jam?

Refer to the Quick Reference Guide provided with the printer or available at www.xerox.com/office/3500support. Open the doors indicated by the control panel and gently remove the jammed paper. Avoid tearing the paper.

How to resolve a print quality issue?

Refer to the Print Quality Problems section in the manual or Xerox website. Clean the exterior of the printer with a soft, damp cloth. Check the print cartridge status via the configuration page.

How to change the control panel language?

Press Menu, select Printer Setup > General Setup > Panel Language. Choose the desired language from the list and confirm with OK.

Where to find the printer's IP address?

On the control panel, press Menu, select Information > Printer ID > IP Address. The IP address will be displayed.

Can I use envelopes with this printer?

Yes, print envelopes only from tray 1 (MPT). Load a maximum of 10 envelopes at a time, face up, top of envelope to the left. Set tray 1 type to Envelope in the control panel.

How to enable power save mode?

Power save mode activates automatically after a period of inactivity. To change the delay, go to Menu > Printer Setup > General Setup > Power Saver and choose a higher value to lengthen the delay.

How to print multiple pages on one sheet?

In the print driver, open the Layout tab (PCL6) or Page Setup (PostScript). Select N pages per sheet and choose the number of pages per sheet (2, 4, 6, 9, or 16). Confirm with OK.
