- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system
- This appliance is not intended for use by any person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

With the temperature control knob, the temperature can be set to the desired level.
5-position switch settings
- (large dot symbol) - Hot-plates can be activated
- (small dot symbol) Small hot-plate can be activated

Lower heating element switched on, small hot-plate can be activated

Before using for the first time
- Clean the appliance (see General care and cleaning) and remove any packing materials completely.
- Before using the appliance for the first time, let the interior heat up for 10 minutes with both heating elements on. A slight smell may be emitted; this is normal and will only last for a very short time. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
- Before using the hot-plates for the first time, let them heat up for approximately 3 minutes at maximum power, while ensuring sufficient ventilation. This will help to 'burn in' the protective coating which safeguards the hot-plates against corrosion. During this process, a slight smell and a little smoke may be emitted. This is normal and will only last for a very short time.
Using the oven compartment
- Pre-heat the oven compartment for several minutes with the door closed, using both heating elements. Set the temperature control knob to the required level.
- With one or both heating elements switched on, the compartment is illuminated by the interior lamp.
- Place the food to be cooked on the baking rack. When cooking food containing fat or moisture, use the baking tray to stop any dripping into the interior of the appliance.
- Close the door and set the temperature control knob to the required level.
- For overhead baking or grilling, either the upper or the upper and lower elements may be selected.
- The switch settings (upper heat/ lower heat) may be changed during the cooking process.
- To interrupt the cooking process
temporarily, set the 5-position switch to the position (small dot symbol).
- Always use the door handle to open the hot door after use. When removing the baking tray, use the tray handle provided. To remove the baking rack, an oven cloth must be used. Always place the baking tray on a heat-resistant surface.
- After use, set the 5-position switch to the '●' position (small dot symbol) and remove the plug from the wall socket.
Using the hot-plates
- Always place a pot / saucepan on the hot-plate and set the 5-position switch to the '●' position (large dot symbol) before switching on.
- With one or both hot-plates switched on, the indicator lamp is lit.
- Ensure that the pot is clean and dry on the outside. Do not use stain covered or soot pots / saucepans.
- To prevent damage to the hot-plate, only use pots / saucepans with flat bottoms. Most suitable are pots specifically designed for use on electric plates (see picture I).
- Always make sure that the pot / saucepan used is of at least the same diameter as the plate; this minimises the loss of heat and prevents the plate from being damaged as a result of uneven heat distribution.
- After use, set the 5-position switch to the '●' position (small dot symbol) and remove the plug from the wall socket.
