How do I change the language on my Oral-B Triumph toothbrush?

Press the Brushing mode button until 'English' appears. Use the on/off button to scroll through 13 languages. Confirm by pressing Brushing mode again. You will then be directed to the timer selection.

How long does the battery charge last?

A full charge takes 12 hours. It provides approximately 2 weeks of regular brushing (twice a day). The display shows 'Charging' then 'Charged'.

How do I know when to replace the brush head?

The SmartDisplay shows 'Replace Brush Head' after 3 months of use. Replace it for optimal brushing results. If unusual wear appears earlier, change it immediately.

What brushing modes are available?

The modes are: Clean (exceptional hygiene), Soft (sensitive areas), Massage (gum stimulation), and Polish (whitening, only on luxury model). The default mode is Clean.

What should I do if my toothbrush does not charge?

Check that the SmartPlug is properly plugged in and the handle is correctly placed on the charger. If the battery symbol does not appear within 10-15 minutes, continue charging. If the problem persists, contact an Oral-B Braun customer service.

Can I use my toothbrush in the shower?

Yes, the handle is waterproof and can be used in the bathroom. However, the SmartPlug charger must never be immersed in water.

How do I clean the charger?

Disassemble the charging unit. The base, support plate, and protective cover are dishwasher-safe. The charging ring and SmartPlug can be cleaned with a damp cloth; never immerse them in water.

Does the warranty cover the brush heads?

No, the 2-year warranty does not cover normal wear, including brush heads. It covers manufacturing or material defects. To claim the warranty, return the complete device with proof of purchase to an authorized Braun service center.

How does the pressure control work?

If you apply too much pressure, the oscillating movement continues but the pulsation stops. You feel a change and hear a different sound. This helps prevent brushing the gums too hard.

Is the toothbrush suitable for braces?

The FlossAction and ProBright brush heads are not recommended with braces. Instead, use the Oral-B Ortho brush head, specially designed for teeth with braces.

Connecting and charging

Oral-B Triumph has a waterproof handle, is electrically safe and is designed for use in the bathroom.

To assemble the base station (h) as a charging unit, detach the base plate (g) first (①, page 3). Place the charging ring into the base station and attach the base plate as shown (② and ③, page 3). Then insert the protective cover (i) on the back of your base station (see diagram ④, page 3).

• Plug the SmartPlug into an electrical outlet and place the toothbrush handle (d) on the charging unit. Alternatively, Oral-B Triumph can be charged by placing the handle directly into the charging ring while the SmartPlug is plugged in.

• A battery symbol should appear in the SmartDisplay. The battery symbol will fill up while the handle is being charged and «Charging» will be displayed. When the handle is fully charged, the SmartDisplay shows «Full charge». A full charge takes at least 12 hours and enables approximately two weeks of regular brushing.

Please note: If the battery symbol is not displayed immediately, continue charging. It will appear in 10 - 15 minutes.

• When the rechargeable battery is low, the bars of the battery symbol will disappear and «Low» will be displayed. Your toothbrush will slow down and then stop. It is time to recharge Oral-B Triumph. When the battery is fully discharged, «Empty» is displayed. It will then need a 15-minute charge before you can use it for a 2-minute brushing.
• For everyday use, the toothbrush handle can be stored on the charging unit to maintain it at full power. There is no risk of overcharging the battery.
• To maintain the maximum capacity of the rechargeable battery, unplug the charging unit and fully discharge the handle by regular use at least every 6 months.

Personalizing Oral-B Triumph

Before getting started, you can program your toothbrush so that it meets your specific needs. Oral-B Triumph has innovative Smart Technology that lets you choose the language and the timer that works best for you.

Select your language

Oral-B Triumph comes with the English language activated. If you wish to switch to another language, proceed as follows: Press and hold the brushing mode button (c) until «English» is displayed. By briefly pressing the on/off button (b) you can scroll through 13 different languages. To confirm your desired language, briefly press the brushing mode button again. This will also lead you directly to the timer choice menu.

Select your timer

The «2-Minute Timer» indicates by a long stuttering sound when the dentist recommended 2-minute brushing time has been reached. The «Professional Timer» helps you brush all four quadrants of your mouth equally. It signals with a short stuttering sound at 30-second intervals that it is time to move to the next quadrant of your mouth, followed by a long stuttering sound when you reach the recommended two minute mark.

Oral-B Triumph comes with the «Professional Timer» activated. If you wish to switch to the «2-Minute Timer» after you have confirmed the language, simply press the on/off button to change the setting. Then press the brushing mode button to confirm your choice.

Using Oral-B Triumph

Attach an Oral-B brushhead to the handle. You can use any kind of toothpaste. To avoid splashing, guide the brushhead to your teeth before switching the appliance on.

Brushing technique

• Guide the brushhead slowly from tooth to tooth.
• Hold the brushhead in place for a few seconds before moving on to the next tooth.
• Brush the gums as well as the teeth, first the outsides, then the insides, finally the chewing surfaces.
• Do not press too hard or scrub, simply let the brush do all the work.

To help you get optimum brushing results, Oral-B Triumph has a pressure control feature to ensure that the right degree of pressure is applied. This helps protect your gums from excessive brushing and makes your toothbrush easy to operate. If too much pressure is applied, the oscillating movement of the brushhead will continue but the pulsation will stop. In addition to feeling the change, you can also hear a different sound.

Brushing modes

Oral-B Triumph offers different brushing modes for varying oral care needs:

"Clean" - Exceptional mouth cleaning.
«Soft» Gentle, yet thorough cleaning for sensitive areas.
"Massage" - Gentle stimulation of gums.
"Polish" (deluxe model only) - Exceptional polishing and natural whitening for occasional or everyday use.

How to switch between brushing modes:

• Oral-B Triumph automatically starts in the «Clean» mode when pressing the on/off button.
• To shift from the «Clean» to the «Soft» mode, press the brushing mode button once.
• If you wish to switch to the «Massage» mode, press the brushing mode button again and let the brushhead pulse against your gum line.
• The «Polish» mode (deluxe model only) is best used with a ProBright brushhead. Once the ProBright is attached, press the on/off button and your toothbrush automatically starts in the «Polish» mode (please see «Brushheads»).
• To return from any other mode to the «Clean» mode, press and hold the brushing mode button.
• To turn your brush off, press the on/off button.

During brushing, the SmartDisplay shows the brushing mode you have selected, followed by your actual brushing time. When you finish brushing, the total brushing time will be displayed for 30 seconds before the display switches back to the battery charge level. To directly get to the battery charge level display, you can clear the brushing time display by pushing the brushing mode button.

In the first few days of using Oral-B Triumph, your gums may bleed slightly. In general, bleeding should stop after a few days. Should it persist after 2 weeks, please consult your dentist or hygienist. If you have sensitive teeth and gums, Oral-B recommends using the «Soft» mode.

Brushheads

The Oral-B FlossAction and ProBright brushheads contain a «smart chip» to communicate with the electronics inside the Oral-B Triumph handle. The «smart chip» works for you, automatically switching to the appropriate brushing mode for the attached brushhead. Nevertheless, you can select other brushing modes to customize your routine.

Oral-B FlossAction brushhead

The Oral-B FlossAction brushhead is recommended for everyday deep cleaning. It features MicroPulse bristles that get deep in hard-to-reach areas between your teeth, gently removing hidden plaque. The brushhead's outer bristles surround each tooth, providing exceptional overall plaque removal.

ProBright brushhead (deluxe model only)

The ProBright brushhead is for occasional or everyday polishing. It features a dentist-inspired polishing cup to remove stains from coffee, tea and tobacco for effective brightening.

We do not recommend using the ProBright or Oral-B FlossAction brushhead with braces. The Oral-B Ortho brushhead is specifically designed to clean around braces and wires and can be used with Oral-B Triumph.

Oral-B Triumph has Smart Technology that helps you remember when to replace your brushhead to get optimum results. Dentists recommend that you change your brushhead every three months. As soon as your Oral-B FlossAction or ProBright brushhead has surpassed the recommended usage, the SmartDisplay shows «Replace Brushhead». Replace with a new brushhead to get optimum brushing results. If you notice unusual wear before receiving the «Replace Brushhead» message, replace your brushhead immediately.

Cleaning recommendations

• After brushing, rinse your brushhead thoroughly under running water.
• Remove the brushhead from the handle and clean both parts separately under running water. Then wipe them dry before you put the handle on the charging unit.

Replace Brushhead

• Before cleaning your charging unit, make sure you disassemble it first. The charging ring and the SmartPlug should never be placed in the dishwasher. However, all other parts (base station, base plate and protective cover) are dishwasher-safe.
• From time to time, you can also clean the charging ring and the SmartPlug with a damp cloth. The SmartPlug charger should never be placed in water.
