Frequently Asked Questions - The Skypad 2.0 FABER
How to install the The Skypad 2.0 hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Fix the hood to the wall using the supplied mounting kit, respecting a safety distance of at least 65 cm above an electric hob or 75 cm for a gas hob. Connect the exhaust duct if you choose extraction mode.
What is the difference between extraction and recirculation mode?
In extraction mode, the air is expelled outside via a duct. In recirculation mode, the air is filtered through a charcoal filter and then returned to the room. Recirculation requires the separate purchase of the charcoal filter.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminium grease filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher (cycle at max 65°C) or by hand with a non-abrasive sponge and detergent. Let them dry completely before putting them back. Regular cleaning (every 2 months) is recommended.
When should the charcoal filter be replaced?
The charcoal filter should be replaced approximately every 6 months, or more often if the hood is used intensively. A saturated filter reduces recirculation efficiency and may cause odors.
How to adjust the hood speed?
Use the touch controls on the front panel. Press the speed button to select speed 1, 2, or 3. Speed 3 is the most powerful and noisy, reserved for strong vapor emissions.
What to do if the hood does not turn on?
First check the power supply (fuse, circuit breaker). Make sure the plug is properly connected. If the problem persists, contact Faber customer service. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
How to replace an LED bulb?
The LED bulbs are integrated and must be replaced by an authorized professional. In case of failure, contact Faber after-sales service to obtain a compatible replacement bulb.
Why is my hood making noise?
Excessive noise may come from a clogged grease filter, a poorly fixed duct, or a foreign object in the motor. Clean the filters and check the fixings. If the noise persists, have the appliance checked.
How to activate the automatic shut-off function?
The automatic shut-off function activates after a period of inactivity (usually 10 minutes) to save energy. You can deactivate it via the remote control or control panel settings (see manual).
