CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Carefully remove the plug from the socket.
- Never immerse the motor base, motor unit or the power supply cord in water or any other liquid.
- Clean the surface of the jar with a soft cloth or a sponge. The measuring cup and lid should be removed from the device for easier cleaning.
- The jar may be cleaned with water. You could also clean it by pouring two glasses of pure water in the jar, placing the lid on top and using the pulse function on the blender. Afterwards pour out the water and dry off the jar with a soft cloth.
After cleaning you are best to place the jar on its head or sideways, to prevent standing water to create rust on the motor unit where it connects with the jar. This
could result in the device not working as well as before.
NOTE SURROUNDING USAGE
-
Never use the device in the following situations:
-
When the jar hasn't been correctly placed on the motor unit.
- When the control knob has selected a speed setting before the jar has been placed correctly onto the motor unit.
-
When the jar has been taken off the motor unit and simply put back in place. You are required to first turn the control knob in its OFF position before placing the jar correctly on the motor unit. Only then will the blender be safe for use.
-
When the motor is turning slowly and the food's consistency is too thick or there's not enough fluid present in the jar, the motor will get too hot when used for a long while. This could trigger the overheat protection. The red LED light will blink. Should this happen, you need to remove the plug from the socket carefully and let the device cool off for about 45 minutes. Afterwards you can use the device again.
- When blending hot beverages like soups or sauces, we advise you to start at a low speed setting and gradually increase the speed, or to use the pulse function.
- First start by adding liquids or soft foods before adding the hard foods or ice cubes.
- When you are done with blending, wait until the blades have entirely stopped turning before removing the jar from the motor unit. If you do not, the motor unit might end up damaged.
- If you smell something burnt, immediately stop the device. The rubber on the motor unit might be the cause, if it was not installed properly
- When using thick or sticky foods at high speeds, you are best to start at a low speed setting. When the food does not seem to move, pull the plug from the socket carefully and use a spatula to manually stir the food around until the air vacuum is no more. Afterwards close the lid and try to blend again.
- Please do not use the device for longer than 10 minutes uninterrupted.
