1-OMSCHRIJVING

• Check that your mains voltage is between 220 and 240V . Incorrect connection can cause irreversible damage which is not covered by the guarantee.

Safety recommendations

• Do not use an extension lead with your hairdryer if being used in a bathroom or shower room.
• Although your hairdryer is fully insulated, do not use it if your hands are wet or close to water (bath, basins etc.)
• Do not immerse your hairdryer in water or any other liquid.
• Do not leave your hairdryer switched on unattended.
• Disconnect your hairdryer immediately after use or if you have to leave the room, even for a moment.
• Do not leave your hairdryer within the reach of children.
• If the cable is damaged, contact an authorised service centre for replacement (see list attached).
• If your hairdryer has been dropped, ask a qualified person to examine it before re-using. There may be some invisible damage which could jeopardise your safety.
• Your hairdryer can only be repaired with special tools.
• Never take your hairdryer apart. If necessary, contact your normal supplier or an authorised service centre (see list attached).

GUARANTEE

• Your hairdryer is guaranteed for 1 year. The guarantee does not apply in the following instances :
• Incorrect connection
• Use of other makes of accessories
• Abnormal use
• Your hairdryer has been designed for domestic use. Intensive professional use is likely to cause some parts to wear prematurely. These are not replaceable under the guarantee.

• If you experience any problems, contact a dealer or authorised service centre (see list attached).

2 - USE

CHOICE OF THERMO OPTIMUM HEAT SETTING

a) Drying

Thermo Optimum drying

• A gentle temperature is recommended for drying your hair which is at its most vulnerable when wet. Excessive heat would cause damage.

Thermo optimum drying position (drawing n^ 2)

• Drying speed will depend above all on the airflow rate, which is adjustable.

• Hair dried on Thermo Optimum setting : the protective cuticles are smooth, the hair has been treated gently

• Hair dried too hot : the protective cuticles are split, the hair is dull and coarse.

Ultra-gentle drying (for people with sensitive hair : children, old people, and for coloured or permed hair )

• Temperature close to body heat

b) Thermo-optimum styling

• For styling pre-dried hair, it is possibe to use a higher heat, without causing damage, to make styling easier and improve the hold.

• The cold air button () can be used in combination with the styling setting to set your style more effectively (drawing n^5

CHOICE OF SPEED

• You can select the power to obtain a strong airflow or a more gentle flow without altering the Thermo Optimum heat setting. Your hair will therefore be treated kindly without increasing the styling time.

• The power of the airflow will mainly determine the drying and styling times.

• A strong airflow (position 2/Drawing N^6 ) is recommended whilst drying on Thermo-optimum.
• A medium airflow (position 1/Drawing N^7 ) is recommended for styling so as not to dishevel your hair.
• You can turbo-charge the dryer by pressing the turbo button (C). This will save you time and protect your hair from exposure to high temperatures.

3 - ACCESSORIES

Concentrator

• To blow dry or to dry a section with accuracy, use the concentrator to direct the hot airflow on to the desired spot.

Volumising diffuser with movable fingers (mod. 9380)

• To give your hair volume quickly and gently, use the diffuser with movable fingers. The rounded fingers gently take hold of your hair, putting root lift and body into it. Its massaging action enables a long-lasting, healthy-looking bounce to be obtained.
• Use your diffuser after shampooing and towel-drying your hair*.
• Before using for the first time, remove the circle of cardboard protecting the diffuser fingers.
• Fit the diffuser into the end of your hairdryer.
• Select the drying mode.
• Place the diffuser at the tip of your hair and gradually move along the section, working gently towards the root (drawings n^8 - 9 - 10 ).

Modelling diffuser (mod. 9375)

• With this accessory you will put volume into soft styles, restore natural volume to your hair and style curly hair easily. Use preferably on position 1 and on medium-long or long hair. Use circular movements. Your hair rolls around the prongs, giving volume or maintaining curls (drawings n°11 and 12).

4 - MAINTENANCE

WARNING : always unplug the appliance before cleaning.

• Your hairdryer needs very little maintenance. It, and the accessories, can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
• The removable rear grill allows you to remove any hairs or dirt which may have accumulated on the filter.

Remember : never use your appliance without its removable rear grill and its filter.

• Never use alcohol to clean the appliance.
• Do not immerse the appliance or accessories in water.
• Be careful to dry thoroughly the parts you have just cleaned.
