Integrated 800mAh battery, internal battery compartment inside the unit with Rechargeable Batteries, Li-ion 3.7V
Battery Charging
Connect the unit by inserting the USB cable into DC 5V IN jack, and inserting the other end into the USB interface or USB charger. The charging time is around 2 hours.
To use 5V AC/DC adapter for external DC charging, plug-in the connecting cable to the DC jack. (Voltage adapter is an optional accessory. Do not charge the battery with the AC / DC adapter more than 24 hours.)
IMPORTANT
If the unit has not been used for a long period of time, the rechargeable battery may be completely discharged into a “sleep mode” condition. This is the characteristics of all the rechargeable battery. For the first time to recharge (to wake up) the battery, it is recommended to charge for a period exceed 5 hours but not exceed 24 hours.
Power ON / Standby
- Press Power button once (over 3 seconds) to switch on the radio from the Standby mode.
- Press Power button again for back to the Standby mode.
Clock Setting:
- Check the radio is in Standby mode.
- Press Time set button for 3 seconds on the front panel to start clock setting. The display for hour is flashing.
- To set the hours, press Next or Previous buttons while the display is still flashing.
- Press Time set button on the front panel to minute setting.
- To set the minutes, press Next or Previous buttons while the display is still flashing.
- Press Time set button on the front panel to complete the clock setting.
Alarm Setting
- Check the Unit is in Standby mode.
- Press AL button for 3 seconds on the front panel to start alarm setting.
- To set the hours, press Next or Previous buttons while the display is still flashing.
- Press AL button on the front panel to minute setting.
- To set the minutes, press Next or Previous buttons while the display is still flashing.
- Press AL button on the front panel to wake-up sound setting.
- To set the wake-up sound, press Next or Previous buttons while the display is still flashing. (Buzzing sound -> Radio -> USB/SD)
- Press AL button on the front panel to wake-up sound volume setting.
- To set the sound volume, press Next or Previous buttons while the display is still flashing. (Default sound volume: level 15)
- Press AL button on the front panel to complete the alarm setting.
Remark: Press AL button to enable / disable the alarm function. To make sure the alarm icon is switch on if alarm function is in using,
Sleep Function
- Press the Sleep Button to select a time. For example, when the LED display shows 15 minutes the radio turns on and then turns off automatically after 15 minutes.
- To select a longer playing time, press the Sleep button to select 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 minutes.
- To turn off the radio at any time, press the Power Button for a second.
Bluetooth Function
- In power on mode, Press the USB/SD/BT button to select the Bluetooth function. The display will shown "bt" in flashing.
- Activate the Bluetooth function in your Bluetooth device.

Select "DRP-121" on your Bluetooth device for pairing. The speakers will have a pop sound to confirm if you success connect with your Bluetooth device.

Start music play on your Bluetooth device.
After connected, you can control the playback, pause, next, previous function by both the connected device or the DRP-121 radio directly.
- Press Play/Pause button for 3 second to disconnect the pairing of Bluetooth function. The display will show "bt" in flashing.
Tips: The device will also be disconnected when the device is moved beyond the operational range. If you want to reconnect the device to the unit, place it within the operational range.
Note: The operational range between this unit and a Bluetooth device is approximately 10 meters. Before you connect a Bluetooth device to this unit, familiarize yourself with the Bluetooth capabilities of the device. Compatibility with all Bluetooth devices is not guaranteed. Any obstacle between this unit and a Bluetooth device can reduce the operational range. Keep this unit away from any other electronic device that may cause interference.
Radio
- In power on mode, press FM button once for FM radio reception.
- The display shows the radio station details throughout the radio mode.
- Select your station by press the Next or Previous buttons for 3 seconds. The unit is in Auto-scanning.
- Adjust the sound by pressing Volume + and Volume - buttons.
Radio Presets
- Press Play/Pause button for 3 seconds to enter Auto-preset function, the display frequency starts to run.
- The unit can store the frequencies of up to 50 radio stations in the memory automatically. A stored frequency can be erased from the memory by storing another frequency in its place.
3 To listen to a preset station, press the Next or Previous buttons for selecting your desired station.
To improve reception:
Pull out the telescopic aerial. To improve FM Reception incline and turn the aerial, reduce its length if the FM-signal is too strong (very close to a transmitter).
Volume
Adjust the sound with the controls Volume + or Volume -
You may connect headphones with 3.5mm plug to socket PHONE. The loud-speaker is then muted.
USB or SD/MMC CARD PLAYBACK
Able to decode and playback all MP3 files which stored in the memory media with USB connector and SD/MMC Card Slot.
- In power on mode, Press the USB/SD/BT button to select the USB or SD playback.
- Before connecting the USB media to the unit, make sure the port is in correct direction and will connect. Or insert SD/MMC Card straightly without bending.

The system will automatically start reading the MP3 files in the USB Storage Media and SD/MMC Card.

Press Play/Pause, Previous and Next Buttons for Play / Pause / Previous / Next functions.
- Press and hold the Previous Button for Rewind function. Press and hold the Next Button for Fast Forward function.
Wrongly connect the USB Storage Media or SD/MMC Card upside down could damage the unit or the USB Storage Media or SD/MMC Card. A locked SD/MMC Card cannot be detected or playback.
ENCODE FUNCTION
To Start Encode (Record) from Radio, make sure the USB Flash is NOT in HOLD mode.
While for the SD/MMC card, make sure the write protect tab is NOT in LOCK position.
- In Radio mode, press the REC button till the REC Indicator flashing.
- Press the REC button again during the Encode (Record) process, the sound being Encoded (Recorded) to the Storage Media will also stop at the same time.
- The system will automatically start reading the encoded MP3 files in the USB Storage Media or SD/MMC Card.
- To delete sound track, press DEL button during the sound track is playback.
