SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

- Power sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.
- Grounding or polarization - the product is not required to be grounded. Ensure that the plug is fully inserted into the wall outlet or extension cord receptacle to prevent blade or pin exposure. Some versions of the product are equipped with a power cord fitted with a polarized alternating line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit onto the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar).
- Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Do not place any object containing liquid on top of the product.
- Cleaning - Unplug the product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Dust in the woofer may be cleaned with a dry cloth. If you wish to use an aerosol cleaning spray, do not spray directly on the cabinet: spray onto the cloth. Be careful not to damage the drive units.
- Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer, as they may cause hazards.
- Accessories - Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. - Moving the product - A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn.

- Mains fuses - For continued protection against fire hazard, use fuses only of the correct type and rating. The correct fuse specification for each voltage range is marked on the product.
- Do not turn up the volume while listening to a section with very low level inputs or no audio signals. If you do, the speaker may be damaged when a peak level section is suddenly played.
- The only means of completely disconnecting the product from the power supply is by removing the power cord from the wall outlet or the product. The wall outlet or the power cord entry to the product must remain freely accessible at all times while the product is in use.
- Try to install the product near a wall socket or extension cord and shall be easily accessible.
- The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35°C.
- ESD hints - The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong Electro-Magnetic Interference. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. In case the function could not resume, please use the product in other location.
28. Battery
1). The batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
2). The batteries should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
3). Battery usage CAUTION - to prevent battery leakage which may result in body injuries, property damage, or damage to the apparatus:
- Install all batteries correctly, + and - as marked on the apparatus.
- Do not mix batteries (old and new or carbon and alkaline, etc.)
- Remove batteries when the unit is not used for a long time.

ERP2 - (Energy Related Products) note
This product with ecodesign complies with the stage 2 requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) NO. 1275/2008 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC regard to standby and off mode electric power consumption of electronic household and office equipment. After 60 minutes without any audio input, the device will automatically switch into standby mode. Follow up the instruction manual to resume the operation.
Important note:
This device is equipped with an energy saving mode: if no signal is given during 60 minutes the device will switch automatically into standby mode in order to save energy (ERP 2 standard). Please note that low volume setting in the audio source may be recognized as "no audio signal": this will affect the capability of signal detection from the device and can also originate an automatic switch into standby mode. If this happens please reactivate the audio signal transmission or increase the volume setting on the audio source player (MP3 player, etc.), in order to resume playback. Please contact the local service center if the problem remains.
Warning
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long time periods respectively a sudden high volume level.

- Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this only for a short while.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.

- Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.
- When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull on the cord.
- The mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device must remain readily operable.
COMPACT DISC MAINTENANCE
- Always use a compact disc bearing the mark as shown.
- Notes on handling discs
• Store discs in their case when not in use. - Do not touch the reflective recorded surface. • Do not stick paper or write anything on the surface.

• Store the disc in its case. - Do not expose discs to direct sunlight or high temperatures, high humidity or dusty
- Cleaning a disc
- Should the disc become soiled, wipe off dust, dirt and fingerprints with a soft cloth. • The disc should be cleaned by wiping in a straight line from the center to the edge.

- Never use benzene, thinners, record cleaner fluid or anti-static spray.
-Be sure to keep the CD compartment door closed when not in use to keep it clean from dust and other contaminants.

System and power setting
- Using the attached speaker wire of the satellite speaker, connect it to the speaker output terminal on the main unit. Then connect the other satellite speaker in the same way.
- Using the supplied FM pigtail antenna, plug it into the FM socket on the rear panel of the main unit, and fully extend the FM antenna to get better reception.

- Please check if the power source corresponds to the rated voltage specified on the back panel of the main unit. If it does not match, please consult your dealer or service center.
- Insert the attached AC power plug into the wall outlet to get power. The front panel power LED will light up in red when the power is ready.

Remote control battery installation
Open the battery door and insert 2 x AAA batteries into the compartment; please make sure the polarity of the batteries aligns with the positive and negative symbols engraved in the compartment. Then close the battery door.

Notes:
a. The best working distance for the remote control is within 7 meters without any obstacles in between. Aim the remote control at the sensor located on the left corner of the display during operation. b. The sensitivity of the remote control will weaken when the battery power is low. Replace it with fresh batteries for operation. c. Please remove the batteries if the remote control will not be used for a long time. d. Please dispose of the batteries in an environmentally friendly way. Refer to local government regulations for details.
General operation
- Power on/off and standby: The red power LED will light up when you connect it to AC power successfully; please remove the AC plug for complete power off. Press the power button on the front panel or remote control to switch between standby and on.
- Mute: Press the MUTE button on the remote control to silence the sound output; press it again to resume playback. You can also resume playback by pressing the volume +/- button.
- Source: Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to switch the play mode between CD, USB, FM radio, Line in, and Bluetooth. You can also enter Bluetooth mode directly by pressing the BT button on the remote control.
- Volume adjustment: Press the VOL+/- button to increase or decrease the output volume.
- Treble & bass adjustment: Press the TREBLE +/- and BASS +/- buttons for treble and bass adjustment.
- Sound equalizer: Press the EQ button to switch the playing equalizer mode between ROCK, Classic, POP, Jazz, and EQ off.
- Loudness: Press the "LOUDNESS" button to enhance the bass level.
- Selection by digits/10+ button
Fast select the relative track in CD and USB playback mode after keying in the relative digits number from the remote control.
Fast pick up the preset FM station in FM radio mode.
Press the 10+ button for fast selection. For example, to select track number 25, press the 10+ button twice, then press 5.
- Play, pause and stop: In CD/USB/Bluetooth mode, press the play and pause button to pause or resume the playback; In CD and USB mode, press the stop button to stop the playback, and press play button for music resuming.
- Selection by previous and next button: Press it to skip to last or next track playback; Press and hold it to fast-forward or fast-rewind playback track, and release it to resume the playback in CD and USB mode.
- Fast-forward and fast-rewind: Press and hold it to fast-forward or fast-rewind the current track, and release it to resume the playback in CD and USB mode.
- Repeat and random playback: In CD and USB mode, press repeat button repeatedly for repeat one, repeat all and repeat off selection; press random button for random and random off selection.
- Channel +/-: Press it to pick up last and next preset FM station.
- CD disc eject: Press it to load a CD or close the CD door.
- Intro: press it to playback the first 10 seconds of each track in CD and USB mode. Press it again to cancel the Intro function.
- System reset: In standby mode, press the button in 5 seconds to reset the audio and factory setting include EQ, treble, bass, preset FM station and volume etc.
CD playback operation
This product includes CD playback functionality, which can play CD discs in CD/CD-R-RW/MP3 audio formats (DVD not included). Before starting CD playback, please check if there are any dirty spots or scratches on the CD disc; otherwise, the CD may not be read properly or may produce noise.
- Press the source button to enter CD mode.
- Press the eject button to open the CD door, and load the CD disc into the CD tray; press the eject button again to close the CD door. The unit will start to read and play the CD automatically.
- A-B repeat function: During CD playback, press the A-B button first to define the start point of the track you want to repeat; press the A-B button again to define the end point of the track; then the unit will repeat play the music between the start and end points. Press the A-B button again to cancel the function.
- Create your own playlist (program 20 tracks for CD disc, and 99 tracks for MP3 disc)
a. In CD playback mode, press the stop button first; then press the program button to start the program operation. b. The VFD display will show "000 P01"; press the digit buttons to select the track you want to be programmed. c. Press the program button again to confirm, then the display will show "000 P02". d. Repeat steps b-c until "FULL" shows on the display. e. Then press the play button to start the programmed track playing. f. To cancel and remove the programmed playlist, press the stop button again, or eject the CD disc.
- You can also achieve play and pause, stop, mute, repeat and random, track selection by previous & next or digit buttons, EQ, fast-forward and fast-rewind functions, etc., during CD playback. Please reference the general operation part of this manual.
FM radio operation
Before starting FM radio listening, please check if the FM antenna is plugged into the socket properly; fully extend the FM antenna or move the unit next to a window for better FM reception.
- Auto scan and preset radio station: Press the source button repeatedly to enter FM radio mode; press the search button on the remote control, or press and hold the play/pause button on the front panel to auto scan and preset radio stations. The unit can save up to 30 (max) stations.
- Preset station selection: In radio mode, press the CH- and CH+ buttons to select and play the previous and next preset stations; or enter the preset station number directly to quickly select a station.
- Manual tuning or auto scan: Press the FF- or FF+ button to increase or decrease the frequency by 0.05 MHz per step from the current station; press and hold the FF- or FF+ button to auto scan for available FM stations in the upward or downward frequency direction, and it will stop and play the available station automatically.
- Quick access to a specific FM station: Press the GOTO button and enter the frequency number using the digit buttons on the remote control to skip to and play the specified FM station. For example, to listen to FM station 104.30 MHz, press the GOTO button first, then enter 1-0-4-3-0 on the remote control; the unit will then play the 104.30 MHz station.
- Manual station memory: Use the FF- & FF+ or GOTO button to tune to the favorite station you want to save; press the memory button on the remote control first, then press the CH- and CH+ buttons to select the preset station number, and press the memory button again to confirm the selection. Repeat the operation to save other stations.
USB operation
The product includes USB playback function which can decode and play music from a USB storage device. Before starting the operation, please copy MP3 format music onto a USB stick. The maximum supported USB stick capacity is 32 GB.
- Press the source button repeatedly to enter USB mode; plug the USB stick into the USB port; the unit will start playing music automatically after showing the folder and track number within a few seconds.
- In USB mode, you can use the play and pause, stop, mute, repeat and random, track selection via previous & next or digit buttons, EQ, fast-forward and fast-rewind functions, etc. Please refer to the general operation section of this manual for instructions.
Notes:
a. Connecting the USB stick via a USB extension cable for playback is not recommended, as it may produce noise or intermittent sound due to audio data loss during transfer. b. Decoding and playback of all MP3 format music is not guaranteed. c. The maximum supported USB device is 32GB. d. Some USB sticks may take a little longer to start playback; please note that this is not a malfunction.
Bluetooth operation
This product includes Bluetooth function which can wirelessly play music from other Bluetooth devices.
- Press the source button repeatedly to enter Bluetooth mode, then the blue LED will flash continuously, indicating that the unit is ready to pair.
- Enable the Bluetooth function and scan on your Bluetooth device (please refer to the device manual for operation), and check the available Bluetooth devices on the list.
- Select "BP MSS35BT" for pairing.
- A notice sound will come out from the speaker after the Bluetooth pairing is successful. Also, the blue LED will become steady.
- Select and play the music from your Bluetooth device, then the music will come out from the micro system.
- Press the previous/next button to select the last and next track during playback.
- In Bluetooth mode, you can achieve play/pause, mute, EQ, loudness, treble and bass adjustment, etc. Please refer to the general operation section of this manual for operation.
Notices:
a. All Bluetooth devices are not guaranteed to pair successfully due to different designs and brands. b. The best working distance for Bluetooth is within 10 meters without any obstacles in between. c. The unit can only pair and work with one Bluetooth device at a time. d. Please quit the current Bluetooth pairing before pairing with another device, otherwise the "BP MSS35BT" will not show on the device list.
Line in/MP3 link operation
In order to wire playback the music from other players or sources, please follow the below operation.
- Using the supplied audio cable (3.5mm stereo to RCA connector), connect the line-in jack (RCA type) of the main unit, and the other 3.5mm stereo connector to the line-out jack of the external player.
- Select the music and play, then the sound will output from the micro system.
- In line-in playback mode, the main control is on the external player side. However, you can also control the volume and mute the sound on the micro system side.
Audio out and headphone
- Audio out: Using the supplied audio cable, connect to the audio out jack (RCA type) of the main unit, and the other 3.5mm stereo connector to the aux-in jack on another speaker device. Then the sound will output both on the micro system and the external speaker device. Please note that the main control is on the micro system side during audio out playback.
- Headphone: Plug the headphone connector into the headphone jack on the front panel. The sound will then be silenced in the micro system but output from the headphone. Adjust the volume setting on the micro system or headphone to get a comfortable sound level for listening.

Troubleshooting
- Cannot power on the unit
a. Please check if the AC power cord was connected to the wall outlet properly.
b. Please contact the service center if the problem remains.
- No sound output.
a. Please try to adjust the volume.
b. Please check if you selected the correct play mode.
c. Please contact the service center if the problem remains.
- The CD disc cannot be read, or intermittent sound during playback.
a. Please try to replace and play another CD disc with CD/CD-R-RW/MP3 format music.
b. Please try to clean the CD disc due to dirty spots or scratches.
c. Please contact the service center if the problem remains.
- Background noise during FM playing.
