How to replace the battery of the ZTE Kis Pro?

The battery of the ZTE Kis Pro is removable. Remove the back cover, then carefully lift the battery. Insert a new compatible battery of the same reference.

How to factory reset the phone?

Go to Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone. Confirm the operation. All data will be erased.

Can the ZTE Kis Pro use recent applications?

The phone runs on Android 4.1. It can run applications compatible with this version. Many modern apps require Android 4.4 or higher, so some may not be available or may run slowly.

How to insert a SIM card and a microSD card?

Remove the back cover and battery. Insert the SIM card (micro-SIM) into the designated slot, and the microSD card into the adjacent slot. Put back the battery and cover.

What to do if the Kis Pro screen is broken?

The screen can be replaced by a professional. Contact an authorized repairer. You can find spare parts online. Self-replacement is not recommended without experience.

How to improve battery life?

Reduce the screen brightness, turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not in use, close background apps, and enable Power saving mode in settings.

Why is my phone not charging?

Check the USB cable and power adapter as well as the micro-USB connector. Try cleaning the port carefully. If nothing works, replace the battery or contact a repairer.

How to take a screenshot?

Press the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. The image will be saved in the gallery.

Does the ZTE Kis Pro support 4G?

No, the ZTE Kis Pro is only compatible with 2G (GSM) and 3G (HSPA) networks. It does not support 4G LTE.

How to update the software of the Kis Pro?

Go to Settings > About phone > Software update. The phone will check for available updates. Note that ZTE has probably stopped releasing updates for this model.

Getting to Know Your Phone

Power Key

• Hold to select phone modes or to power off.
• Press to switch your phone to Sleep mode.
• Press to wake up your phone.

Home Key

• Touch to return to the Home Screen from any application or screen.
• Hold to see recently used applications.

Menu Key

Touch to get the options for the current screen.

Back Key

Touch to go to the previous screen.

Search Key

Touch to open the Search box.

Volume Key

Press or hold either end of the key to turn the volume up or down.

Installing the Battery

Charging the Battery

When you first get your new phone you'll need to charge the battery like this:

1. Connect the adapter to the charger jack.
2. Connect the charger to a standard AC wall outlet.
3. Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged.

Powering On/Off Your Phone

Make sure the SIM card is in your device and the battery is charged.

• Hold the Power Key to switch on your phone.
• To switch it off, hold the Power Key to get the phone options. Touch Power off, and then touch OK.

Switching to Sleep Mode

To save battery power, Sleep Mode suspends your device to a low-power-consumption state while the display is off. Your device also goes into Sleep Mode automatically when the display is automatically turned off after a certain period of time, which you can set in Screen timeout of the display settings.

Press the Power Key to switch to Sleep Mode.

Waking Up Your Phone

1. Press the Power Key to activate your screen display.

2. Touch and hold at the center of the screen.

If you have set an ‘unlock pattern’, or a PIN/password for your phone, you’ll need to draw the pattern or enter the PIN/password to unlock your screen.
