Frequently Asked Questions - TensioS1 LANAFORM

How do I correctly place the cuff on my arm?
Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, about 2-3 cm above the elbow, with the artery marker aligned with the inside of your arm. The cuff should be snug but not too tight. Remain seated with your arm resting on a table at heart level.
What should I do if I get an error message on the display?
Common errors are 'E1' (no pulse detected) or 'E2' (motion artifact). Reposition the cuff, remain still, and try again. If errors persist, replace batteries or check cuff connection.
How often should I replace the batteries?
Replace all four AAA batteries when the low battery symbol appears on the display. The monitor uses batteries even when off, so remove them if not used for a long time.
Can I use the monitor on my wrist?
No, the TensioS1 is designed for upper arm measurements only. Using it on the wrist may give inaccurate readings.
What is considered a normal blood pressure reading?
A normal resting blood pressure is typically below 120/80 mmHg. The device includes a color-coded WHO indicator to classify your reading: green (optimal), yellow (elevated), orange (stage 1 high), red (stage 2 high).
How do I clean the monitor and cuff?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the monitor. For the cuff, gently wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed, then air dry. Do not machine wash or dry the cuff.
Why does the reading sometimes show an irregular heartbeat?
The device detects arrhythmias by analyzing pulse variability. If the irregular heartbeat symbol appears frequently, consult your doctor. It does not replace a medical ECG.
How do I view past measurements?
Press the 'M' button to scroll through stored readings. The monitor can store up to 120 measurements with date and time. The oldest reading will be overwritten when memory is full.
Can I connect the monitor to my smartphone?
The TensioS1 does not support Bluetooth or smartphone connectivity. Readings are stored on the device and can be viewed on the display only.
What should I do if the cuff does not inflate properly?
Ensure the cuff is firmly connected to the monitor and is not twisted. Also check that the batteries have sufficient power. If the problem continues, the cuff may need replacement.
