How to adjust the temperature on the TE-HA 2000 E heat gun?

Turn the adjustment dial on the side of the device to select the desired temperature, from 50 °C to 650 °C.

Can I use this heat gun to strip paint?

Yes, the TE-HA 2000 E is suitable for paint stripping. Use a high temperature (around 500-600 °C) and hold the device about 5 cm from the surface.

How do I clean my Einhell heat gun?

Unplug the device and let it cool. Use a soft brush to clean the air intake grilles. Do not use liquids or abrasive products.

What if the device no longer heats up?

First check the power supply and fuse. If the problem persists, the safety thermostat may have tripped: let the device cool down, then try again. Contact customer service if necessary.

Is it possible to change the nozzle on the TE-HA 2000 E?

Yes, the nozzle is removable. You can order replacement nozzles (round, flat, reflector) from Einhell.

What is the power consumption of this heat gun?

The rated power is 2000 W. Make sure the outlet used supports this power.

How do I use the cooling function?

After use, set the selector to the 'cold' function (if available) to quickly cool the workpiece. Some models do not have this function, check the manual.

The heat gun turns off by itself, is this normal?

This may be due to overheating: the device is equipped with a safety thermostat that cuts off power if the internal temperature is too high. Let it cool and reuse.

Can I use this gun for plastic welding?

Yes, for plastic welding, set the temperature between 300 and 400 °C depending on the material. Use an appropriate nozzle if needed.

Where can I find spare parts for the TE-HA 2000 E?

When using the equipment, a few safety precautions must be observed to avoid injuries and damage. Please read the complete operating instructions and safety regulations with due care. Keep this manual in a safe place, so that the information is available at all times. If you give the equipment to any other person, hand over these operating instructions and safety regulations as well. We cannot accept any liability for damage or accidents which arise due to a failure to follow these instructions and the safety instructions.

• Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is set to "0" (OFF) before you insert the plug into the socket.
• The nozzle reaches temperatures of up to 550°C. Fire hazard! Wear protective gloves and eye wear. The nozzle should not be touched during operation.
• Allow the hot air pistol to completely cool before putting away.
• Never expose the unit to rain or moisture. Store the unit in a dry place.
• Do not leave the unit unattended. Keep out of reach of children.
• Never direct the air flow at people or animals. Do not use the unit to dry clothing or hair. Do not use the hot air blower as a hair dryer.
• Do not use the unit near easily flammable or explosive substances or gasses.
• Never block the hot air flow by plugging or covering the air flow exit.
  • Use only original accessory and replacement parts from the manufacturer.

• Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Wear slip-resistant shoes and wear a hair net for long hair. During operation maintain a secure footing.

• Never use the unit in wet surroundings or in areas with high humidity (bathroom, sauna, etc.).

• Check your work area for easily flammable substances and materials before using the hot air pistol.
• Never carry the hot air pistol by the power supply cord.
• Only use extension cords with a minimum cross-section area of 1.5 mm ^2 .
• Repairs (for example power supply cord replacement) should be performed only by a qualified electrician.
• Do not use chemical paint removers or solvents at the same time as the hot air pistol.
  • Clean the nozzle when soiled.
• Be sure that the openings for air entry and exit are always clean and free of dirt.
• Hazardous or poisonous gasses can be freed when removing paint. Be sure to provide adequate ventilation while working indoors.
• Never point the hot air directly at windows or other glass surfaces.
• This equipment can be used by children of 8 years and older and by people with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or those with no experience and knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction in how to use the equipment safely and understand the dangers which result from such use. Children are not allowed to play with the equipment. Unless supervised, children are not allowed to clean the equipment and carry out user-level maintenance work.
• Fires can be caused if the appliance is not handled carefully and correctly.
  Take care when using the appliance near inflammable substances. Do not aim the pistol at the same point for a long time.
  • Do not use in explosive atmospheres.
• Warmth may be carried to inflammable materials which are concealed.
  • After use, let the appliance cool on the stand before it is put away.
• Do not leave the appliance unsupervised when it is in operation.

3. Proper use

The hot air blower is designed for heating shrink-fi t hoses, for removing paint and for welding and shaping plastics.

The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this. Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data.

6. Operation

Notice!

After you use the equipment for the first time, some smoke may escape from it. This is normal.

6.1 4-setting ON/OFF switch (Figure 3)

Select the required working temperature and air volume with the ON/OFF switch (2).

Within a very short space of time the hot air gun will reach operating temperature.

Switch position 1:

1st setting - 50°C / 250 liters/min.

Switch position 2:

2nd setting - 50-550°C / 250 liters/min.

Switch position 3:

3rd setting - 50-550°C / 500 liters/min.

Note:

The temperature can only be adjusted in setting 2 and 3.. You can do this by turning the temperature setting wheel (6) variably back and forth between positions 1 – 9. The LED display (5) shows by 6 switch positions the temperature level that applies at the moment.

In switch position 1 the LED display (5) goes off completely.

Note:

Switch position 1 is a cold air setting at 50 °C. This is when the hot air gun needs to be cooled down faster so that you can change the nozzles more quickly and avoid the danger of burns.

6.2 Possible uses for the hot air pistol:

• Removal of paint and lacquer. Attention! Hazardous or poisonous gasses may be produced while removing paint or lacquer. Be sure to provide adequate ventilation.
  • Removal of stickers and decorations.
• Loosening of rusted or tightly fastened nuts and metal screws.
• Thawing of frozen pipes, door locks, etc. Attention: no not attempt to thaw plastic or synthetic pipes.
  • Accentuation of natural wood grains before staining or lacqueing.
• Shrinkage of PVC packaging foils and insulation tubes.
  • Waxing and de-waxing of skis.
  • Stationary use (see Fig. 4)

Danger! Intensive heating means a higher risk of fi re and explosion! Ensure good ventilation. Harmful and/or toxic gases and vapors may be emitted.

6.3 Selecting the right nozzle

• The glass protection nozzle (7) is designed to protect e.g. glass panes from overheating by diverting the hot air. For removing paint.
• The wide jet nozzle (8) ensures uniform air distribution on small surfaces.
• The reducer nozzle (9) provides a targeted jet of heat for corners and for soldering work.
• The reflector nozzle (10) is designed for soldering and shaping tubes, for defrosting water pipes and for shrinking insulating hoses.
• Fit the corresponding nozzle attachment onto the nozzle (1) on the device.

Warning!

Allow the device to cool down before you change the nozzle.

6.4 Removing the guard hood (Fig. 5)

The removable guard hood (4) can be removed to facilitate work in confined spaces.

Hazard!

Note that there is then an increased risk of fire and burns.

7. Replacing the power cable

Danger!

If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales service or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.

8. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

Danger!

Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work.

8.1 Cleaning

• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
  • We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.

8.2 Maintenance

There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

9. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic. Never place defective equipment in your household refuse. The equipment should be taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of such a collection point, you should ask in your local council offices.

10. Storage

Store the equipment and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in its original packaging.

As an alternative to returning the equipment to the manufacturer, the owner of the electrical equipment must make sure that the equipment is properly disposed of if he no longer wants to keep the equipment.
