Frequently Asked Questions - Spectra A4/95 FELLOWES

How to choose the right laminating pouch?
Use A4 size pouches (up to 125 microns) for optimal results. Pouches that are too thick may jam the machine.
What to do if the machine does not heat up?
Check that the switch is set to 'hot' and the outlet is working. Wait 5 minutes; if nothing happens, contact customer service.
Why does the document come out wrinkled?
Make sure the pouch is centered and the edges are straight. Do not force the entry, let the machine guide the document.
How to clean the rollers?
Insert a cleaning sheet into the entry while the machine is hot. Then run a blank sheet to remove residues.
Can I laminate thick documents (cardboard photos)?
Yes, but use an appropriate pouch (up to 125 microns) and avoid overloading. Items that are too thick may damage the machine.
Is the cold function useful?
Yes, it allows laminating heat-sensitive documents such as receipts or thermal photos without damaging them.
How to stop lamination in an emergency?
Press the reverse button to back out the document. Then unplug the machine if necessary.
What is the lifespan of the machine?
With regular maintenance, the machine can last several years. Use quality pouches and clean the rollers every 10 laminations.
The indicator light does not turn on. What to do?
Check the power cord and outlet. If the problem persists, the internal fuse may be blown. Contact an authorized repairer.
Where to find replacement pouches?
Fellowes pouches are available online or in office supply stores. Use quality pouches to avoid jams.
