These operating instructions are a component of the sports headphones KH 2350 and provides you with important information for intended use, safety, installation and connection as well as operation of the sports headphones.

Keep these operating instructions and hand them over with the sports headphones to any future owners.

This documentation is copyright protected. Any duplication and/or reprinting, entirely or partially, as well as reproduction of illustrations, also in modified form, is only permitted with written consent from the manufacturer.

Proper use Use of these sports headphones is intended for

the non-commercial listening of audio material. Any other or unintended use is regarded as im- proper use and can lead to damages. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be accepted.

For safe handling of the device observe the fol:

M Before use check the sports headphones for visible external damage. Do not operate damaged or dropped sports headphones.

M Damaged cables or connections should be replaced by authorized qualified personnel or

by the customer service department.

M Persons who, due to their physical, intellectual or motor abilities, are incapable of operating the sports headphones safely must only use them under the supervision or direction of a responsible person.

M Only permit children to use the sports head- phones under supervision.

M Repairs to the sports headphones should only be carried out by authorized specialist personnel or by the customer service depart- ment. Incorrect repairs can result in danger

for the user. In addition warranty claims become void.

M A repair to the sports headphones, during the warranty period, may only be carried out by a customer service department authorized by the manufacturer otherwise no additional war- ranty claims can be considered for subsequent damages.

M Defective components may only be replaced With original replacement parts. Only by using original replacement parts can you guarantee that the safety requirements are complied with.

M Do not undertake any unauthorised reconstruc- tion or modifications to the sports headphones.

M Protect the sports headphones from moisture and liquid penetration.

M Do not use the sports headphones in the vicinity of open flames.

Y Avoid extreme sound levels, especially over long periods of me, when you are using these sports headphones.

so that you can recognise the signals in

the corresponding situations.

Do not use the sports headphones when operating an automobile, bicycle or in any other situation in which environmen- tal sound impaired perception could present a danger to yourself or others.

Disposal of the packaging The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The recirculation of packaging into the T ; à ) material circuit saves on raw material and reduces generated waste. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer

Operation B E Exchanging the ear cushions

When delivered the sports headphones are pro- vided with medium size ear cushions. Depending on the size of your ear cup you can use ear cushions of another size from those supplied.

M With your fingers carefully pull on the ear cushions to detatch them from the sports.

M Select from the supplied ear cushions ones that are suitable for your use. Push these directly onto the ear clips until they slip into the recesses on the ear clips.

Putting on the sports headphones

Æ When putting the sports headphones on observe the indicators "R" {right} and "L" (left) on the side of the earpieces.

M Slide the hoop of the sports headphones behind your ear cup and gently press the ear cushion into your ear.

M Proceed in the same way to put on the other sports.

Connecting the sports headphones The sports headphones are equipped with a 3.5 mm jackplug. Many consumer electronic devices are provided with a corresponding headphones socket. In the event that your audio device has been provided with a different connection for head- phones you can use, if necessary, a suitable adapter (not supplied)

Malfunction causes and remedies The following table will help with localizing and remedying minor malfunctions:

M Remove the ear cushions for cleaning. Clean the ear cushions under running water. Dry the ear cushions well. Replace the ear cushions over the ear clips only after they have com-

pletely dried. Storage & M Store the ear clip headphones in a dry

pean directive 2002/96/EC. Dispose of the device through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facil ity. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubi, please contact your waste disposal centre.

You receive a 3-year warranty for this device as of he purchase date. This device has been manufactured with care and meticulously exam- ined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please get in touch, by telephone, with our service department. Only in this way can

a postfree dispatch for your goods be assured.

> The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing defects, not for transport damage, wear and tear or for damage to fragile components, e.g. switches or rechargeable batteries.

This product is for private use only and is not in- tended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal modifications not car- ried out by our authorized Service Centre. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.

The warranty period is not extended through repairs made under warranty. This applies also for replaced or repaired parts. Any damages or deficiencies found on purchase must be reported as soon as possible after unpacking, at the latest two days after purchase. On expiry of the warranty, all repairs carried out are subject to payment.
