Frequently Asked Questions - KH 2306 SILVERCREST

How to turn the SILVERCREST KH 2306 Hi-Fi system on and off?
Press the STANDBY button on the device or remote control to turn on the device. The green LED turns off and the display lights up. To return to standby mode, press STANDBY again. To completely disconnect the power, unplug the power cord from the mains socket.
How to set the clock on the KH 2306?
In standby mode, press and hold the CLOCK SET button for more than 2 seconds. The time display starts flashing. Use the BACK and NEXT buttons to select the 24h or 12h (AM/PM) format. Press CLOCK SET to confirm, then set the hours and minutes in the same way.
Why is there no sound coming from the speakers?
Check that the volume is not at minimum or muted (MUTE button on remote control). Ensure the speakers are properly connected to the R (right) and L (left) terminals on the back of the micro system, respecting polarity (black wire to black terminal, red wire to red terminal). If headphones are plugged in, the speakers are automatically disabled.
How to improve FM reception?
Fully unfold the wire antenna located at the back of the device. For better reception, change the antenna orientation or move the device. If the FM stereo signal is weak, press the STOP/ST./MO button (or FM MODE ST./MO on the remote control) to switch to mono mode, which may reduce noise.
The CD does not play, what to do?
Make sure the CD is inserted label side up and is properly centered on the tray. Check that the disc is not scratched or too dirty. For CD-R/RW, ensure they are finalized and compatible. If the message NOd (no disc) appears, check that the compartment is fully closed and try reinserting the disc.
How to program the playback order of tracks?
Stop playback by pressing STOP/ST./MO. Press PROG./P-MODE (program). The display shows PROG and P01. Use the BACK and NEXT buttons to select the desired track, then press PROG./P-MODE to store it. Repeat for subsequent tracks (up to 20 for audio CD, 99 for MP3). Start playback with PLAY/PAUSE.
How to use the remote control?
Insert the two supplied AA batteries into the compartment on the back of the remote control, respecting polarity. Point the remote control toward the IR (infrared) sensor located on the front of the device, up to a maximum distance of about 7 meters. If the remote control does not work, check that there is no obstacle and that the batteries are in good condition.
How to clean the Hi-Fi system?
Use only a dry, soft cloth for the outer casing. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with mild detergent, avoiding moisture entering the inside. For the inside of the CD compartment, use a dry, clean brush (like a lens brush). Never use a damp cloth inside.
What are the important safety instructions?
Never open the casing: it contains a Class 1 laser that is invisible and dangerous to the eyes. Protect the device from moisture and do not place containers filled with water (vases) on it. Ensure good ventilation, do not cover the openings. Unplug during thunderstorms. Keep batteries out of reach of children (risk of ingestion).
What to do if the device does not turn on or stops responding?
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in. This resets the electronics. If the problem persists, check that the mains socket works with another device. If the display shows 0:00 after a power outage, insert the backup batteries (3× AAA) into the compartment under the device to preserve the time.
