  • Do not use the unit if the power cord or plug is damaged or the connection to the wall outlet is loose. Electrical shock, short circuit and/or fire may occur as a result.
  • Do not damage, break, coat, forcefully bend, pull, twist, bundle, pinch or place heavy objects on the power cord. If the power cord is damaged, fire and/or electrical shock may occur as a result.
  • Use AC 120V only. Fire and/or electrical shock may occur as a result.
  • Do not modify. Repair and disassembly of this product are to be performed by authorized service personnel only. Fire, electrical shock and/or bodily injury may occur if not. For repair, contact your dealer or the nearest Sharp Service Center.
  • Periodically remove dust from the power plug Accumulated dust on the power plug may cause bad insulation from humidity, etc. Fire and/or electrical shock may occur as a result.

  • Yes! The Active Carbon Filter is washable. Generally, you should wash it every 2 months or if odor persists.
  • Will washing improve the filter’s performance?
  • After time the filter will loose its deodorizing ability. When washed, the filter will be restored to a nearly new working level of deodorization.
  • When does Washable Active Carbon Filter need replacement?
  • Sharp recommends to replace filters 5 years after opening. Even if washed regularly (every 2 months), the Washable Active Carbon Filter usually needs to be replaced 5 years after opening the filter package. Replace your True HEPA Filter at the same time you replace the Washable Active Carbon Filter since the deodorizing performance will slowly decrease with repeated washing. Please refer to E-14 page for directions on how to clean your Washable Active Carbon Filter. E-18 TROUBLESHOOTING SYMPTOM REMEDY (not a malfunction) The Remote Control does not work

  • Is the unit installed in a location that is difficult for the sensors to detect cigarette smoke?
  • Are the odor sensor openings blocked or clogged? (In this case, clean the openings.) (Refer to E-16) The Filter Indicator Light remains activated even after washing or replacing filter.
