- Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate. The plug must be plugged into a correctly installed earthed power point.

- Pay attention to the following to reduce the risk of fire.

— Do not cook the food for too long.
- Remove bag sealers from paper and plastic bags before they are put in the microwave oven.

- Do not heat up oil or fat for deep-frying, it is not possible to control the temperature of the oil or fat.

USE

INSTALLATION

  1. Check that all the packaging materials inside the door have been removed.

  2. Check the microwave oven for damage, such as a misaligned or bent door, damaged door seals and contact surfaces, damaged or loose hinges and catches, or dents in the oven or on the door. Do not use the microwave oven if it is damaged. Contact your retailer.

  3. The microwave oven must be placed on a flat, stable surface that can support the weight of the oven and the food to be cooked.

  4. Do not put the microwave oven where it can be exposed to heat, moisture or humidity. Do not place it near flammable materials.

  5. The microwave oven must have an adequate flow of air to work properly. Place the microwave oven so that it has 20 cm of free space above, 10 cm behind, and 5 cm on each side. Do not block the openings on the microwave oven. Do not remove the feet on the microwave oven.

  6. Do not use the microwave oven without the glass plate, or if the support rollers and the rotation axis are not in the correct position.

  7. Check that the power cord is not damaged and that it is not lying under the microwave oven, or on hot surfaces or sharp edges.

  8. The plug must be easily accessible so that it can be easily pulled out in an emergency.

  9. Place the rotation ring in the microwave.

  10. Fit the glass plate on the rotating axis.

Radio interference

Interference on radios, televisions or other similar equipment can occur when the microwave oven is in use. To reduce interference:

- Clean the oven door and contact surfaces.

  • Move the radio or TV antenna.
  • Move the microwave oven in relation to the receiver.
  • Move the microwave oven away from the receiver.
  • Plug the microwave into a different circuit than the radio/TV receiver.

Connection to mains supply

The microwave oven must be earthed. The plug must be plugged into a correctly installed earthed power point. The microwave oven should be connected to a separate circuit.

Cooking food

  1. Place the food so that the thickest part is near the edge of the utensil.
  2. Check the cooking time. Select the shortest suggested time and then increase, if necessary. Overcooked food can start to smoke or catch fire.
  3. Cover the food with a micro lid during the cooking. This prevents splashing inside the microwave oven and the cooking is more uniform.
  4. Turn the food during cooking to reduce the cooking time (e.g. for chicken and hamburgers). Large pieces, such as roasts, must be turned at least once.
  5. Meatballs and similar food should be stirred halfway through cooking (from the sides to the middle of the utensil and vice versa).

Choice of utensil

  • Microwaves cannot pass through metal and therefore metal utensils or plates with metal edges should not be used.
  • Do not use utensils made of recycled paper in the microwave oven, they can

contain small metal fragments that can cause sparks and fire.

  • Use round or oval dishes instead of square/rectangular ones, as food in the corners will often be overcooked.
  • Below is a list of materials that can be used when cooking in the microwave oven:

  2. Put the food in a suitable utensil in the microwave oven.
  3. Set the required cooking power.
  4. Set the required cooking time with the knob.

- If the cooking time is less than 10 minutes, turn the knob past 10 minutes and then back to the required setting.

  1. The cooking starts when the time is set. The door can be opened at any time to stop the cooking. Close the door to continue cooking.

  2. An audio prompt is given when the cooking is ready and the light in the oven goes out.

NOTE:

If the food is taken out before the set time has passed, turn the knob to 0 by hand, otherwise the oven will start and run the set programme when the door is closed.

UTENSILS

Only use utensils approved for use in a microwave oven. Utensils of heat-resistant ceramics, glass or plastic can usually be used in microwave ovens.

NOTE:

Do not use metal utensils – risk of sparking. See the table below for more information.

Material Micro Note
Heat-resistant ceramicsOKDo not use ceramics with glazing, or metal decorations.
Heat-resistant plasticOKNot for long cooking times.
Heat-resistant glassOK
Plastic film OKNot for cooking meat, the high temperature can cause the plastic film to melt.
Grill rack -
Metal utensils-Do not use metal utensils in the appliance.Microwaves cannot penetrate metal.
Enamelled utensils-Cannot withstand high cooking temperature.
Bamboo, wood, paper-Cannot withstand high cooking temperature.

Browning dish

When using a browning dish put a heat-resistant insulating item, e.g. a porcelain plate under the dish, otherwise the glass plate and/or rotation ring can be damaged.

Plastic film intended for microwave ovens

Do not allow the film to come into contact with food with a high fat content during the cooking, this can cause the film to melt.

Plastic utensils intended for microwave oven

Some plastic utensils for use in microwave ovens are perhaps not suitable for cooking food with a high fat or sugar content. Do not exceed the recommended cooking time for the utensil.

THE FOLLOWING FACTORS CAN INFLUENCE THE COOKING.

Positioning

Place the food uniformly distributed, with thicker parts nearest the edge of the utensil and thinner pieces towards the middle. If possible, avoid overlapping.

Cooking time

Try a short cooking time first, and then increase if necessary. Cooking for too long can cause the food to smoke or get burned.

Uniform cooking

  • Food such as poultry, minced meat steaks or whole meat should be turned during the cooking.
  • Some food should be stirred, from the edge of the utensil towards the middle, one or several times during the cooking.

Stand time

Leave the food to stand in the appliance for a short while after cooking to equalise the temperature.

Checking the cooking

The colour and hardness of the food indicate when the food is cooked, as well as the following indications.

  • Steam from all over the food, not just the edges.
  • Joints on poultry are easy to move.
  • No sign of red meat juice on ham/poultry.
  • Fish is opaque and can easily be divided with a fork.

MAINTENANCE

Clean the microwave oven at regular intervals and remove any scraps of food.

NOTE:

  • Do not use solvent, strong, corrosive or abrasive detergents.
  • Do not use abrasive or scratching utensils for cleaning purposes.

WARNING!

Never remove the waveguide guard.
